Okay, so starting from the basics, awareness of existence or awareness of presence or deliciousness of being alive. Someone else coming. The privilege of having a vacation from the eternity of nothingness. When the mind is off and there is nothing appearing on the display, there is nothing being experienced, there is no experiencing. If there is no awareness of the content, we can't say there is an experiencing. Theoretically we could, but that is not about the theory. All we know directly from the direct experience. Is that there is an experiencing right now. There is a content of experiencing right now. There is an awareness of existence right now.
So we were educated. We are told that the world existed before I was born. I was born into the body. I was born into the world. And I grew and I navigated the world. Already solid and existent. And then I'm going to die and the world will stay there. Yes, Hank, did you want to say something? Or you just mistakenly unmute. Okay, I'm just going to put you on mute. Okay. So this is the common story which is told to. A child to a person to a believer. So if you believe that story, you were born in particular country to particular family. In some religions, you may have even chosen them.
In other religions, you just had a good luck or bad karma or whatever. And you're going to have a lifespan of such and such. And then you're going to go, you're going to die. A direct experience has quite a different component in the direct experience. Direct experience. Here I am in the direct experience without the story of belief. What I am, who I am, where I am. I can't say with without the story and then without the story, the easiest way would be to relate to. I just fed a couple of cats there. So the cats, they have no idea they are in Australia. They have no idea that they are animals.
They have no idea they are cats. And yet there is an existence. So if I. Could put the idea aside that I am a person that was born in particular country and right now is located in some other place under the address and it has the lifespan and then it's going to die. If I did not have any of those ideas, what is the experience? What is the experience of existence without any idea? Because that is that primary natural state, the natural existence. So in that natural state, just the way. My beautiful cats are consuming their dinner and they have no idea where they are or who they are or what they are.
So I am. And so you are on that awareness of existence on that plain basic such it Ananda awareness that I am conscious awareness, the beingness itself, the fact that I am the awareness that I am the consciousness being conscious of existence. Consciousness. And having preference, a love of existence, love of being protecting life. Or appreciating life. Generally such it Ananda awareness of existence and the bliss of being. So this is the direct experience regardless of of of context that is added to the story that I'm a cat and I'm meowing or I'm eating or I'm in Australia, whatever it is. So natural state or the basic awareness.
Everyone is already aware that they exist. And this is the final truth. And this is the natural state. And this is unborn Buddha mind or cognizing emptiness. Oh, omni presence. The presence that doesn't have any boundaries or any limitations because only the thought that brings the boundary and limitation. So that presence. Is the omnipresence. So there is nothing to look for. There is nothing to find. There is no one to become. There is no time in which this existence this such it Ananda this omnipresence. Can transform into something else the expressions the patterns the shapes the forms the lights the colors the sounds. The sensations are floating in that space of such it Ananda of existence.
So that space is already free is already here is already pure. It doesn't need purifying. It doesn't need amplifying. It doesn't need anything. It's already content in itself or maybe the better way to say it. It is not discontented. There is no suffering in the pure empty space of existence. Self-aware that it exists which is then called consciousness. So I think and it was really nice when chemo started the meeting class a couple of days ago bringing up the ideas that within that space in that space. There was a lot of work. So we could say we share but in that space. There isn't even a we to share is just this.
But in that space that comes the storyteller and the storyteller tells you I get it you don't get it. So I will speak you will listen. I know and you don't and if you are kind enough or you pay me enough then maybe I will tell you or maybe I will give you or maybe I will put you with the peacock feather. and you will also get it and this is happening allegedly that's what kimo was saying you know in the other groups or other settings and i know it is happening we had the samples all along that oh no other people shouldn't be allowed to speak because it's not possible that so many people gets it not possible that so many people gets it see the contradiction see the wrong assumption that within that space of sat chitananda within that space of omnipresence they are people which we can divide into those who get it and those who don't get it so we have division now it in one corner people in one corner and other people in another corner and now the rules that's how the nightmare gets created that is a great example and allegedly enlightened people who say i get it you don't get it so you can't speak or now or i'll give you that or in the future maybe you will get it too those enlightened people tell us the story of separation perhaps to keep the stream of income or perhaps to offer some little blending or or some power play you know i'm better than you and even that story of separation appearing in the omnipresence through the musical instrument which is he singing the song i'm superior even that is just the content of that space of that awareness of that sachitananda even a person who is claiming to be superior to know something that you don't even the person that is claiming i'm still not there yet i'm still not getting it even that is just the appearance when you go to sleep all of that disappears it's not the separation disappears the all phenomena disappears the idea about getting not getting all disappears and then the mind comes along whether it is through the dream when the body starts dreaming the consciousness stares and a dream appears or whether through that waking dream where this body mind is utilized for the dreaming or whether daydreaming fantasy about another person who is not present in the immediacy that's yet another level of dreaming so that dreaming appears because you are i am therefore the world exists therefore there is experiencing going on hearing seeing tasting touching smelling thinking meaning past future all of that is happening because there is a presence the omnipresence the presence of consciousness because there is a presence of consciousness the idea that i'm encapsulated in this particular vehicle in this body i am this body and I'm enlightened or I'm an unenlightened or this is my second or or seventh incarnation in which I may or may not get it whatever the story content is it appears in omnipresence in omnipresence there is no story there is no division there is no inequality there is no one who does get it there is no one who does not get it there is just pure existence existence consciousness bliss satchitananda within that this is the reality being awareness of being and appreciation of being or existence knowing of existence and appreciation of existence now within that space which is one one space with the three aspects highlighted because you can't divide it the being from the awareness if there is no awareness you can't say there is a being if there is no being you can't say that you are aware is is obviously inseparable appreciation for being is self-evident otherwise there would be no being and there would be no knowing of being so this is the space the three aspects are really just just just this and within that there is the whole manifested world which are two other aspects in in hindu scriptures called maya nama rupa illusion name and form pattern shape form color sound sight dream past future drama separation shape of a human boundary the presence is here it's not out there it's just here and it ends here you know the sensation of the skin is here outside five centimeters out there is no sensation So my presence, not my presence.
That's just the storyline. I am my car. When I'm on the road, I am my car. Oh, I'm speeding. Oh, I have to slow down. Oh, I have to push the brake. Oh, I'm running out of fuel. I'm my car. Right now, for the sake of communication, I'm this body. I'm a person. I'm female. I'm 50 plus, whatever. I'm in Australia. For the sake of a story. But this happens only because there is a presence of consciousness. If there is no consciousness, there couldn't be a story. And if there is no story, consciousness still is. And if there is no consciousness, there couldn't be a story.
If the body is corpse or is deep asleep, there is no story. So giving credit where credit is due. First things first. Consciousness. Without consciousness, nothing else is. I'm going to just check if there's any comments going on Facebook. And as usually, as always, anyone is most welcome to interrupt, contribute, ask question or add the angle or throw a quote or contribute in any capacity that you feel like. I can actually contribute the first of the cards that comes from Bob. And there is a beautiful sunset here. And this is in Poland. And it says space is the absence of mental constructs. While awareness is the knowing of this absence of constructs.
Realize the indivisibility of space and awareness. How timely this is just that beat. And I didn't know. I just picked the card which I was explaining that such it and under there are three aspects of one indivisibility of that space and awareness. Absence of mental construct is a space. It's the pure potentiality. And awareness of that absence is the knowing of that absence of that mental construct is the awareness. So it is the consciousness. It is the actuality. It is the. It is how the potentiality plays out. And Hank, would you like to mute? Yeah. Yes, I can hear you. Hey. Yeah. Hi. Hello. Yeah.
And it's like to just before I forget it, I was just, you know, reminding of. Yeah, I've been, I've been following a guru for many, many years, you know, and Tibetan guru. And it was, you know. It was like, you know, I felt all the time. They kept. Yeah, I don't want to say anything bad about him, but they kept me hanging on the hook, you know, like I was just it was all like hanging the carrot or something. I was just very near. Near the near the. The. Perspective that he was supposed to enjoy. All the time, you know. Yes. And all the all the colors and all the.
Beautiful perspectives that were. Described, you know, to us and very inspiring, you know. Yeah. The same. It was more. It was more or less the same that Sailor Bob was. Was. Presenting, you know, in. Mm hmm. I mean. I. Think. Sailor Bob. Also has a jocks and master and. But the difference is that. Yeah, what I feel is that the sailor Bob, he he talks from his. Experience or even beyond his experience. It seems for me. Yeah, I've been. I don't say I have been wasting my time and many, many years I. I. Sacrifice my holidays, you know, and a lot of money and. All the time hoping that one day there would be a breakthrough.
And there has been a breakthrough occasionally, you know, only one or two times. I feel, yeah, this is real. You know, it's happening. But it's all the time. It's, you know, it disappeared again. Yeah. And yeah, this this meeting. Sailor Bob, unfortunately, I only once met him. When he was still alive and then online via Zoom or something. But it was, you know. Yeah, it was so simple. And. I have to say, I lost my train of thought. Hmm. Um, actually, you know. This is why. This is motivating me to participate here. But at the same time, I'm aware of, you know, that. Yeah. But this is my question also.
And does the F all the efforts what I made and so many other people are still made or still making. Is it necessary or in order to arrive at the point that you can give up all the expectations, you know, about and then. Then. Is that necessary? So. Yeah. All the great questions. Great question. Oh, yeah. Is it necessary? All the effort, including brushing your teeth since the age of four, since you started having a teeth? What was it really necessary to brush your teeth? If you didn't brush your teeth, would you be where you are right now? Well, the question see how theoretical the question is.
What would be. If I didn't. What would it be if I didn't pray? What would it be if I didn't go to that guru? It's completely, completely theoretical question. Life has unfolded this way. See, Bob said he was sitting going on the path. Shaktipat meditation, chanting, seva and all that stuff. Was it necessary? Neither. It was neither necessary nor unnecessary. It is how it unfolded. Was there was that tsunami wave in in in Thailand or Katrina, Volker, hurricane in America necessary or was it unnecessary? It unfolded this way. You can only talk retrospectively about that when you look back. Yeah. And and say and see how in a good mood you say, oh, that's.
That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. Yeah. That was the greatest blessing in my life. But when you were. Yeah. In a bad mood, the same thing you say, oh, no, it was horrible. Mind is adding meaning. And holding on to the story and keeps the coherence. Yeah. You know. Like I remember whatever the childhood trauma story. Oh, it made me who I am. It gave me resilience. Oh, no, it broke me. Oh, how would I be without it? blah blah there is no possibility to find out how about instead of training your mind to speculate on what is not happening how about bringing the mind to resting in this moment right now if it can't stay quiet then maybe it can engage with a subtle background sounds of the leaves on the tree or or birds singing or maybe air conditioner or heat anything or maybe it can rest in experiencing the breath the mind maybe it can monitor the sensations in the in the body if it can't stay completely relaxed let it be busy with that which is happening right now rather than speculating oh was it necessary you know Yvonne actually said here in a comment you are not the doer and did not waste time money or whatever see Bob again he sold all his property when his wife left him and he went to India and he stayed and he meditated and he was doing all sorts of things there was it necessary I'd seem so otherwise we wouldn't maybe not be sitting here now the truth is the story yes or no it's just a speculation it happened yes stop it happened because was it good or was it bad uh was it um waste of time or was it not and now again it goes on it goes to both sides of the coin okay I had a guru I served him faithfully I left him all my money that's just an example my guru didn't take any money uh but just an example and maybe even the Guru took advantage of me accused me sexually or whatever this thing happened I I have a couple of girlfriends who were following an Australian Guru here who actually uh with if you were attractive enough he would he would tell you that he can transfer the Enlightenment through sexual act that things do happen and now is he guilty how dare he he's not the doer either that's just life unfolding if there is only one life is there is only one essence there's one essence speaking to a person who says oh you get it you should not be speaking or you don't get it you will get it next lifetime this is life speaking there's no one there if the guru says oh you enlightenment is going to cost you 10 000 hours of meditation plus million dollar weekend for the retreat that's the life speaking there is no one there oh yeah but i shouldn't have followed i followed the trap this was an abuser this is life speaking there is no one there and yet is the story invalid i was abused i spent 20 years i waste my money i waste my time this is the story this is the life speaking the story is the story true no story is true it's just an appearance story of trauma story of war story of holocaust it's an appearance where is it now it's a spoken word spoken story is a mental image it's a cloud on the sky is the cloud that has the capacity to completely open up the heart make you cry make you scream wow wow it's not to undermine the incredible power that the story gets when it is believed into reality is the story nonetheless and what is it now yes Upset but still you know i'm sorry for the buts and um but still you know i think you know like your we are like when we are in life you know it's like playing chess and play chess also you have to set you have to make the next move you know do you do you do you really have to next move do the next move make a move then you know my time my flag will fall and then i lose it did you learn before the Razak?
No, not at the Razak. It's the other way around. you ever did you ever try did you ever try to not make a move because what if you try and you fail and you realize that it is not even in your power to not make a move for example try not to move your heart for five minutes good luck you'll find out oh shit the heart is moving anyway so the chessboard is here okay the Bob had this story it was used old old story but it's a good story the guy came here to the meeting and he got really worked up and offended with the idea that I am not the doer I'm never done a thing in my life that's a crap if that's true and I've done the career I've graduated and I rose children I built the house and I planted the tree I've done so much and you say I've done nothing fuck off then I won't do anything ever again okay okay see if you want to get up from that sofa and you will see that you will be moved because your bladder will get full and you will need to pee and you decided never to do anything and suddenly you're walking oh shit doing happens the guy called oh shit doing happened from the phone box on the way back home and bob told him okay you resolve never to do anything fine i don't mind stay in the phone box see if anyone in 30 years from now will go and collect the skeleton life will move you you don't move life moves you you are being believed like for example you know what are your next move gonna be on your chessboard doesn't it depend on 10 000 things doesn't it depend on your mental clarity on the day doesn't it depend on what the move the other person did on the chessboard doesn't it depend whether there is an earthquake or the or the or the or the earth is stayed stable or steady it depends on the person's move on absolutely 10 000 things and now also doesn't it depend on the thought that just spontaneously comes up to your mind and can you choose different thought it has to show up first right to even be or not be chosen so it is it is and thank you for the question it's always good to revisit and remind that very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very basic realization that you are being lived the thoughts are showing up the the life is moving you to make the move i'm being lived i know but still you know i mean i feel that you know then i feel like uh i'm following some kind of pattern you know some kind of uh but to say according to my my imprints you know what i have experienced my my childhood etc i'm following some kind of pattern i'm repeating the same things you know the same situations in different uh variations sometimes very beautiful but i'm not that i'm just i'm the observer of it you know i'm like that you there you go there you go there you go witness i'm bearing witness of it that's how i this is my personal love i'm my person is not existing of course but this is how our language is limiting also but this is how i see it is that something or what do you think absolutely you see there is a presence omnipresence within that omnipresence there is hank yeah hank is being witnessed hank is being registered hank is moving the figure on the chessboard oh this is registered hank is having a thought oh my guru took my time and was it necessary yeah this is being witnessed hank is taking a breath this is being registered all of that is in that knowingness that satchitan being knowing loving to be in that consciousness hank as a car on the road is speeding hank as the body is getting older or is eating food all being registered and the registering capacity is always there see even when the body mind of hank is falling asleep and is dreaming of flying still registered in consciousness what is registered the lying sleep body or the body flying which one or maybe both or maybe neither maybe what is being registered is the reflection of consciousness whether it is flying whether it is sitting in the room whether it is moving on the chessboard see if the if you actually with then the witnessing if you can witness your own eyes if you can taste your own tongue see what is registered and what is assumed the assumption is that there is a me doing the registering and see how even that assumption is registered yes thank you thank you and and thank you for the question it's always it's always lovely to revisit this which sounds like a really bad news i have no power no free will no decision-making capacity i'm absolutely hopeless everything is just happening so that i'm not gonna i'll just i rest my case this is yeah disempowering i'm powerless this is wrong no it's not it's the best news in the world you are being lived your heart is being taken care of seeing is happening everything is given it's like in the in the old 12-step serenity prayer god grant me the serenity god is the power higher power of my understanding which i usually call life the life essence life grant me serenity to to accept the things i cannot change which is like my next thought i don't even know what to say i don't know what it's going to be how can i change it courage to think to change the things i can and the wisdom to know the difference and the more realization that the higher power is all the river is life is all the river is that's the only power that there is the less illusion of personal power is left yeah yeah now even my next thought belongs to life even my next thought belongs to life even my next thought belongs to life words belong to life and if i realize that shit you know it isn't my thought belonging to life i am life everything is within me appearing in me it belongs to me there is nothing outside there is nothing separate there is nothing i ever need to long for or wish for or desire because everything that is appearing is already a fulfillment of the desire for this moment to appear exactly as it does and how do i know that is so well look around that's how it appears proof in the pudding and where does it appear well in the consciousness in the omnipresence so what what can i ever do wrong all right and the guru look at the guru you know how dare he make himself superior tell you that i know something that you don't you give me your money so i can share my secret with you he doesn't do it but he doesn't do it he is your dream he's appearing in your consciousness there is no one there no one inside there's no little person inside who's want to scam you yeah yeah yeah like every day and it unfolded this way bob was sitting for 16 years in meditation almost everyone i know got scamped in some way or the other that's how it unfolded but what does it have to do the content of the dream whether in the dream i'm rich or poor i'm pretty or ugly i'm smart or dull what does it really matter if the dream is just a reflection?
reflection of aliveness in the experiencing so whatever the experiencing is it already shows demonstrate the aliveness behind it if there was no aliveness if there was no satchitananda being awareness of being an appreciation of being no bad dream good dream medium dream could even be reflected in that mirror of existence so whatever appears in the mirror points to the mirror yes but i want my reflection a little bit nicer so that one thing also reflects in the mirror yes but was it really necessary for those people you know for bob to die or get cancer was it really necessary well well well well that speculation that dreaming that speculation that dreaming that speculation that dreaming that mental chatter is also reflected in that mental chatter is also reflected in that mental chatter is also reflected in the mirror the mirror the mirror and the only purpose of reflections and the only purpose of reflections and the only purpose of reflections are to point to the mirror point to are to point to the mirror point to are to point to the mirror point to existence existence existence so whether the reflections are pretty or so whether the reflections are pretty or so whether the reflections are pretty or ugly ugly ugly they're neutral they're all neutral they're neutral they're all neutral they're neutral they're all neutral and then the mind has the opinion and then the mind has the opinion and then the mind has the opinion because that's its nature nature.
And of course, the dream is a happier dream. If the opinion is pleasant and positive, the dream is a happier dream. If you have more skills, if you can sing, you know, that singing or jogging, it's like mind training. It's like meditation. It, it makes the body brings the endorphins and it, you know, it kind of makes, uh, feel, feel happier and more appreciative. Yeah. The dream gets better. Or if you win the lottery or whatever, or you have loving relationship or less trauma or whatever, but that's secondary to the fact that no matter what the dream, it points to the reflective surface. My guru, actually who never took any money and who never made false promises and who was, and he still is a beautiful, beautiful creature back in India.
When, before I met Bob, he would say, you know, every thought brings two messages with it. The second news is the content of the thought. For example, the thought I'm not good enough. The second message that the thought brings is I am not good enough, quote unquote. But the first message is I'm here. I'm alive without that consciousness, without that aliveness, the content of the thought, the thought couldn't even appear. So who cares? What's what's the content. It could speak Russian or Chinese. Who cares? Who cares what the thought says? The presence of a thought is a proof. Wow. There is an existence here, the miracle of life, aliveness shining bright here out of itself.
Wow. But habitually the attention goes to the thought. And the more attention goes to the thought, the more real that thought appear. And if the thought says I'm not good enough and it appears so real, so tangible, it is so convincing then of course, well, the consequence, shit, you know, I got to get drunk or maybe I got to shoot myself or shit. Or maybe, or maybe I got to work on myself and go sign up for a therapy or whatever the consequence. But the truth is the news behind it, the news behind the presence of thought is like, wow, I'm alive. There is an existence that could have been nothing, but there is, Ooh, wow.
The seeing is there, the hearing who gives a shit about the content of a thought. First news first. Sorry. Yeah, go on. Go on. When you drop the, that sort, you know, I, I have that, I had that, I experienced also one, one, you know, with the guru that I was trying to remember a question. I wanted to ask him a question and I had to repeat it many times in myself. And then at the moment, yeah, it was there. And I was sitting in front of this bed and then I forgot the question that he saw me struggling. And then he said, so what, you had a question.
So what the drop it, you know? And then when I did that, it wasn't very, you know, like I had to laugh. I was laughing, you know, and very, very, um, how to say it was like everything dropped away at that moment. So I felt also, uh, yeah, like connected with something very big, you know? Yeah. Yeah. It was not, uh, yeah, it was my small mind. It was totally, I was connected with everything and I felt nothing to get loose. And I would say, thank you. And then he said, well, I was laughing. He said, yeah, that's, that's you remember that, you know, that's really you, that's really, Hey.
And then I, uh, I was out and I say, okay, thank you. And then I left and I didn't tell anybody. Completely. You know, it didn't matter where I was going, you know, so outside or stay inside or just, I was, I felt completely alive that time, you know, no fear also, no hope and no fear like this, you know, it was so amazing. And, but that was only possible because yeah, that's what my, my interpretation, of course, that, uh, when he said at the right moment, he said, well, drop your question like this, you know, mm-hmm, that's how that was my interpretation. So was it, was it necessary to, yeah, to be in that situation, you know, that meeting with the guru, then, then this happens.
Yeah. Yeah. Maybe it would have happened or maybe not. I don't know. Yeah. Again. Yes. Yes. Again, the question wasn't necessary. It happened this way. What would have happened if he didn't say that word, what would have happened? If you had green socks on that day, what would have happened if you didn't have a breakfast and you came late for the train and you came late and you, you were aggravated, what would have happened if your vitamin B 12 was a little, a notch lower, you know, you could go forever asking those type of questions. Yeah, you're right. So I just wanted to share this thing.
I will. I just want to share with them. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But that's a, that's a great thing that you shared. You actually shared a profound insight, which really is an often a conclusion after answering several questions, how many more questions you want to come up with? Because if you give a mind a job to write questions, you can start writing them now. And in 10 years, you will have probably a hundred thousand questions. It will never stop. But you know, you know, because you probably heard it. It's often enough that no matter how many questions will get answered, it will only give you a temporary relief from the nagging mind, but it will not give you a lasting freedom from the mind because the answer is not there.
You can't find the answer in the mind. You find the answer in the mind to I'm thirsty. Okay. You get a water. That's the answer. But to the life and everything, the only answers that you can find in the mind is 42 absurd. No answer in the mind. There isn't, there can't be a conceptual answer to life and everything to the mystery of aliveness, because it isn't a question. It is self evident, obvious, clear fact that you can't question. Can you question your own existence? Can you negate your own existence? There is no question that it can't be answered. It is self evident. You are alive.
You are here. You are present. All the questions are appearances reflected in that mirror of existence. So the answers are also reflections appearing in the mirror of existence. And after having 10,000 questions, 10,000 questions appearing and answered, you finally land up in the realization. Oh, shit. What a waste of time. Okay. Forget the questions. Forget looking for answers. Clarity. No questions, no answers. Drop it. And in relaxing that mind, questions go out with the mind. Answers are not required. Because when there is no mind, there's no questions. There's no answers. And wow, I'm alive. Wow. Well, I've been alive when the mind was busy with some nonsense too, but all attention got into that entertainment, into those reflections.
Now, as you defocus from all the questions and all the mind's preoccupation, with control, ah, okay, wow. Suddenly, first things first. The whole wow, comes in force, the appreciation, the satchitananda, aliveness? Wow. Awareness of aliveness? And the appreciation for aliveness. Wow. Okay. when the mind the nama rupa name form asking answering blah blah blah reflections dropped wow so that was that was beautiful yeah he spot on your guru good on him he's shown you the way now now walk it how about now what questions do you have now drop it one short meeting i had this sailor bob you know when just a few months before he passed away that uh you know and also something like this question like that but he he asked me are you but are you are you aware are you aware you know yeah that that kept that kept me uh how to say after the talk i was that was coming back all the time you know so yeah something similar i think yes yes yes yeah what what question can you question that no you can't are you aware that it's all yeah yeah yeah can you question it can you deny it can you can you try and stop it no you can't in that no questions clear and obvious yeah yeah absolutely yeah thank you so much yeah thank you hank no that's that's that's perfect okay that's beautiful thank you very much and and i see you jenny and as you are unmuting i'm gonna uh read question from sandra uh question registering and witnessing are different because for witnessing it has to be a witness so there's still duality and with registering okay for seeing there has to be a seer is that right so the idea that for witness witnessing they have to be a witness for breathing they have to be a seer right yes a breeder for heart beating they have to be heartbeater is there a heartbeater for raining there has to be a rainer is there a rainer see for witnessing that doesn't have to be a witness witnessing is the immediate activity is the consciousness registering witnessing seeing there is no me looking and seeing seeing is a capacity that this particular body mind machine is equipped with it has the capacity to see to hear to breathe it doesn't mean that there is a little someone which does and how you can prove it to yourself keep your eyes open seeing is happening if there is someone who does that make that someone stop without closing your eyes oh no it's still happening i'm telling hey little little someone imagine someone can you stop it no it's still happening witnessing is like seeing is the same there is no need for imagined self to to be in the capacity of witnessing when we say ink it means it's a function it's a pure functioning that's just for the sake of clarity and thank you sandra for asking it because that might not just be your question and it's always good to highlight the ing shows the singular functioning rather than the half of the equation of one-third of the equation of doer doing a deed no it's just the doing just the happening and i also have blazenka says quote unquote i lived but not i christ lived my life only one life one doer yeah beautiful christ christ consciousness is there is the 보여 gion temperature in various ways consciousness living a part of life the six beatothe the pure awareness of pure existence.
And we have Jenny and then we have Kimo, Jenny Yuan. Kidoki. What came to me when I heard your sharing and your way to talk with Hank was also the simplicity of when Bob used to say full stop. You know that even though one pitfall can be to try to recreate an experience one has had, because that too is just an experience in consciousness, even if it's an experience where the feeling is of that the self, the ego or whatever dissolves, and it can be really addictive. It like can be such a good feeling that you want to have it again. And to be you could, I mean, compare it with an orgasm.
It's like having a spiritual orgasm, you know, like, oh, wow, I want it again and again and again. But, you know, we can all imagine what life would be like if we would walk around with a constant orgasm, it would not be very functional, you know. And so walking around with this so called no brain, no head, no whatever this supposed enlightened state would also not be very, very functional. But we can taste it in what Bob always reminded us of with the full stop, that if we just hold our breath or stop the breaths or focus on the pause, that little still pause between the in-breath and out-breath, that's where that stillness resides.
We can actually in any moment find it, the mind, that empty mind. The empty mind is so close, so close that we, we're not aware of it because we think it's supposed to be so big. You know, or it's supposed to be so big. So that's just what came to me is that, you know, it's even in this so called spiritual realm, it's like we've been brainwashed to believe that more is better. You know, we think that we'd be happier with more money. We'd be happier if we had the perfect spouse. We'd be happy if we had the perfect job, or we would be happy if we had fame, or we would be happy if we had this big bang realization where everything will never be the same again.
And all that's just fairy tales. Like sitting here waiting for the prince arriving on this white horse. Like Cat always reminds us of, you know, that Santa Claus, we believed in Santa Claus until we figured out that Santa Claus is just a story, you know. And maybe that's the best way of looking at that. Everything is just the story and just here and now and the pause is where the pot of gold can be found if anywhere, you know? So, that's what I wanted to share. And thank you for this, Cap. Oh, thank you. Thank you. And thank you, that's beautiful. Yes, the big mind – they even call it a big mind.
It's infinitely big, and it's infinitely small. It's infinitely big because it's the whole vídeo. Yes, the big mind, they even call it the big mind. It's infinitely big. It's infinitely small, it's infinitely big because it's they're the whole video. and it's infinitely small is infinitely big because it's the whole lullaby mode you have, the mind that's meant to be there, the pure mind of hoop. It's infinitely big and it's infinitely small. It's infinitely big because it's the whole universe. It's nothing that's not it. And infinitely small because it penetrates absolutely everything. It's nowhere that it is not. So it is completely beyond qualifiers. And yes, it's never not here.
So move the veil aside, even if for a microsecond. And it doesn't mean that the veil is not going to come. Yes, it is pure functioning and it's absolutely perfect the way it appears. Who is there to argue with reality? If the mind is chatty, well, there is a chatty mind. Okay. So the only response if the space would have is just totally unconditional acceptance of whatever is reflected. What the mirror has to say. Oh, no, I don't want this reflection. No, no, this reflection is a little bit crooked. No, it doesn't. The space, the mind, the big mind, the emptiness, the aliveness is there underneath every story.
And yes, pause the story and have a glimpse. And then appreciate the story too. Why not? The good story is. Delightful too. I mean, he doesn't like a good movie. And Sandra says here is a good story here. We will all be happy if we get enlightened. Ha ha ha. Yeah, that's that's an old story. Old story. Yes. How about now? That's the beauty. There is nothing to get. It's only to recognize that absolutely everything is already. Already. Fully present. All that you would ever want to have. I'm not talking about the money in the bank and all that stuff because his the story of me wanting it is just an appearance.
But all of real value is right here to be discovered, to be acknowledged, to be appreciated. The aliveness, the consciousness, the presence, the being, the love of being. And even wanting a money is love. And if I didn't give a shit about myself, why would I even want it? Not that I care. It's just an example. Okay. And we have chemo. Would you like to unmute? Yeah, I would. And, um, I have a real world example here of what we're pointing to. And, um, I think it's going to be a good analogy. And the good thing is it's super early in the morning here in the United States.
So I, I think for everyone it's Thursday, October 8th. So my. My analogy is going to. Work even though it's a concept that we're all on the same day. But, um, have a real world example here is that there's, there's a hurricane warning and I think it's going to be 100 mile an hour wind. So we have to evacuate today and there's all kinds of things to do for a hurricane. You know, it's like you say there's there's stuff to do or there's nothing. To do and they're varying levels of preparedness. There's money to make the gasoline stations are going to make 20 more cents per gallon.
All the convenience stores are going to sell all their bottled water and little hand wipes and snacks and everything's going to go off the shelf and batteries are going to be gone. And some people aren't going to do anything about it. Right? Nothing. You know, it's like, okay. There's a hurricane coming. I'll take my chances. I'm going to put my car away and hope that the floodwaters, the storm surge doesn't come. But then there's a spiritual aspect of hurricanes too is like, okay. There's a board called the Federal Emergency Management Association, FEMA. So that's kind of like the guru. And, and, you know, they, they have a book about preparedness.
I am. Prepared. It's kind of like, I am that. So, you know, I can go to this guru to talk about the hurricane and I, you know, I can say I've read, I am prepared and it resonated with me. So my psychological suffering about hurricanes is gone. I know all the things to do. I I'm the best talker about this. I know all the pros and cons and, you know, I've had, I've had two, you know, a couple awakening experiences. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. There's like, I will tell you how many times I've heard stories of hurricanes of how to be better prepared and how to be free, free of worry.
And then I don't know, Australia is probably still the spring, you know, even though you hear my story about the hurricane, you may or may not think of me today, you may remember it Tuesday. When I come back online, but you're going to put in a biscuit or make some coffee. It's no big deal. of things are happening. There's tons of stuff to do. Evacuation, putting out sandbags, clearing the pier of stuff, all kinds of stuff to do. But right now, whether you're in Europe, there's no cyclone, whether you're in Australia, whether you're here in the United States and Florida, taking action for the hurricane, doing it, so-called doing it right.
I'm doing hurricane preparedness right. Or that I'm just totally freaked out. I'm bat crap, just wired, bouncing off the walls. I have all this suffering about the idea that the hurricane could destroy my home. There's tons of stuff to do, tons of stuff to worry about, tons of stuff to be psychologically free from. I've talked to the expert. I've read the thing. I've had all the I've had all the preparation. I've had all the preparedness experiences. But what did I have to do for it to be Thursday? What did you have to do for it to be Thursday? What if you did nothing? Would it still be Thursday?
Everything that's happening right now is happening in Thursday. And I know that's a concept, but it's the same thing with awareness. It's the same thing with your pure being. It doesn't matter who you talk to. Whether you ever got involved in spirituality, whether you ever had a jolt of I get this, or you didn't, or you lost it. It's not to be found. The answer to this stuff is not to be found in the mind. It's not to be found in the activities of reading or attending meetings. It's the simple fact that it's Thursday. It's. It is. And what is it is? We say it's Thursday, and we don't look at the it's part.
The it is is the same thing Nisargadatta is pointing at the I am. I am that. That is Thursday. That is Thursday being hurricane-y. That is Thursday being confusion. That is Thursday being a muffin and coffee and not caring because I don't have cyclones in my country. That. That is. Can't get away from that is can't get away from the fact that it's Thursday. No matter what you do, drunken stupor. Making $10,000 today. Getting all the hurricane stuff to protect your house. There's nothing you can do or nothing you can't do to change that. It's Thursday. I guess you could get a paper calendar and circle Friday and say it's Friday, but it's not true.
It's Thursday. It's. It is. I am. I am that. That's the basis of what we're talking about. As soon as we get into books, as soon as we get into meetings, as soon as we get into experiences, as soon as we get into. There's something to do to get. There's something to do to be. Think about how ridiculous it is. There's something I need to do. For it to be Thursday. Like I don't understand that it's Thursday, but I wonder what I have to do to make it Thursday. Can you see the ridiculous in that? Every everyone who's hip to what the calendar is knows it's Thursday and knows that you're in Thursday, whether you know it or not.
It's the same thing with your true nature. There's nothing to do to be. And there's nothing to do for today to be Thursday. There's nothing to do for today to be Thursday. There's nothing to do for today to be Thursday. I land there. Thank you. Yeah, that's that's brilliant. That's really spot on. And and and Jenny also says here great analogy, chemo and heart. Yeah, lovely. That is see that really kind of highlights to which extent it couldn't possibly be a matter of achieving. Achieving Thursday for me in the future. When I practice enough. It's a simple recognition of what is already so. And there is nothing to do to be beautiful, says the end.
Yeah. So it's a simple matter of recognition. And honestly, for the mirror, for that field of Satchitananda, does it even give a shit? Whether that recognition is present or not. It's just temporary. It's just temporary appearance in that eternity of nothingness. Temporary dream appearing on the screen. Whether that realization even dawns or it doesn't. Whether that recognition. Oh shit. It's Thursday. Is there or not? Does it even matter? But of course, if I'm locked up in the cage of concept. I'm locked up in the cage of concept. I'm locked up in the cage of concept. Of being limited, poor, miserable, unworthy character who needs to.
Achieve Thursday to be happy or to liberate it. And I'm obsessing about that day in and day out. And I'm on the search. And I'm victimized by the fact that I will not like Sandra was saying, I will not be happy until I get enlightened. Then yes. The natural compassion comes. Hello. Wakey wakey. It's Thursday. And Jenny says. I'm going to put the glasses better. Put the glasses. Jenny says now we have a new name for stillness. Space awareness consciousness. It is Thursday. Yay. Yay. Since then. Since time immemorial. They called it today. Or now. But of course, since time immemorial that time that now and that today have been abused and associated with so much crap.
Thursday will do just nice. Yeah, that was beautiful. Anyone. Any contribution. Any question. And I quote any willingness to perhaps answer question or maybe add or highlight or summarize or anything. Anything jumps up. I just I mean, I just want to say once more to chemo. That was such a brilliant analogy. I mean, it was sometimes, you know, words can be used in a way to really paint a picture. Of concepts that can be. That the mind, you know, when you paint a picture with words that the mind is so surprised. That it cannot protest. And the way you use this analogy with Thursday was just so brilliant.
I mean, it will stick Thursday. There's just so much joy now when I just say Thursday. I just wanted to highlight that once more. Yeah. And the hurricane in itself. The weather, the hurricane, the wah, that's what's happening. Did it was it necessary for the hurricane to come? Maybe. We can have a story about, you know, like, why karma. But did or, you know, gas stations making money. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. With stations making money. Is it ethical? Endless, endless conversations. Stories can be painted over that simple appearance. I'm going to just pick the card. Just going to pick the card. And that's another another stunning stunning sunset.
Recognize that it says mind which duality works in interdependence. Yeah. works in interrelated opposites it can't work in any other way it grasps things it can't grasp no thing any trying is futile there is no answer to life in thinking obviously and yes we did address that one already that there is no answer to life in thinking and it explains it really really well it explains why it can't be it can't be the thinking is designed symbolic language is designed to represent things with symbol things with with words how can it represent or grasp that which is underlying the pure consciousness which isn't a thing so i can just read one more maybe it will start spark the discussion and this is it looks almost like a front of a hurricane but oh wow it is from the sky view from the sky and there is another view from the sky but this one is after or perhaps eye of the hurricane or maybe in a um clarity of stillness after reverse so it's going to be a reflection of this real world that's kind of like a kind of a a a i i i i i i i i i i i i i i you you are this bundle of concepts that was a reminder that you know people told you what you are some things you told yourself you added you added the the concepts the memories the bars to the cage solidifying the sense of identity which is not really that solid it's quite fluid and it's and it's ever-changing and it's adapting it's it's a construct it's a mental construct it's a map it's not the territory where you're born with them where you're born with all those concepts with those maps of i am a person i'm female i'm this i'm that it's uh it's it's just a loose garment and it should be worn loosely for the navigational purposes and we have birut says hank has a nice background of him watching the speaking hank that reminds me of the two the two Two birds parable from Upanishads told in the other meeting.
Two birds sit on the same tree. One bird is on the lower branch eating the sweet and bitter fruits of the tree. The other bird sits silently on the higher branch, simply watching the other bird. Please comment on that. Okay, we have Yvonne has the hand up and is on mute. So would you comment on that? I was commenting, I had to hand up for a little while because when we asked, was it necessary? Was it necessary that Bob was an alcoholic or was it necessary that I went to that special guru or whatever? That reminded me of the quote of Nisargadatta, does love act deliberately?
Was it necessary that, yeah, does life act deliberately? Yes or no? Was it deliberately? Was it necessary? Yes and no? Yeah, it's a thing and it's a... Yeah, yeah, the whole idea of the necessity is the idea coming from the reference point. Necessary for who? And from the birds, that is the one who's still on the tree. That's the one who... Yeah, that's our nature, our... That does nothing, that is the still... And the other one is the one, the person who is eating and the one is only watching and the other one is thinking that it's a bird and does the things and it's identified.
And the other one is still and watching. Just happening, the natural state. Yeah, yeah, so you can see, you know, there is the mind acting and there is an awareness of the mind acting. So there is a bird eating and there is a witnessing of the bird eating simultaneously at once on the same tree. Yeah. There is a metaphor of just that one activity. There is a metaphor of just that one activity. Which is on one hand is being utilized, on another hand is being registered. Mm-hmm. Mm. Anyone else? Anything? And again, in that metaphor, we have birds because it's beautiful and it's visual. But for the registering or for the witnessing, you don't need pair of eyes.
The knowing, that's the knowing. Mm-hmm. Which isn't I. Which isn't I knowing. It's just the knowing. The activity. So I just have couple of people joined us. And welcome. So again, anyone would like to jump in, add something, contribute something, summarize, highlight? Otherwise, I'm just going to pick one more card. Oh, yeah, Isabel, you go. I don't have my lights. My lights, that the page being on the speakers today. I don't hear you very well. How about you guys? Are you hearing Isabel all right? Because I have like, oh, yeah, try that. Try that. Because it's kind of breaking like if the microphone is covered up or...
Yeah. Yes. Oh, what a difference. Much better. Wow. Yeah, I was speaking about your spiel today. It was really, wow. Yeah, beautiful. I cannot bring something else with it. But, you know, and also the question from Hank. Yeah, that's so important that we have questions that you also can open up and have an insight for to unfold everything and from every side. Beautiful. But really, yeah, the mirror, the mirror, the mirror, my Dutch, the mirror, yes, the reflection. That's everything, like you say, even a thought that is a reflection to the I am. Before everything is appear, everything is singing a song or hearing a song or tasting.
Yes, the reflection. That's such a beautiful. Yeah, how you say? Yeah, mirror is really. And then you can also see it's all empty. And it's all there. That's the that's that's the so rare. To see it. The reflection and yes, especially when I when I go when I when I walk, you know, when you walk and you have to reflection, and it's always here. It looks like the body moving because it's coming. It's it's it's follow and that is the reflection of the mirror is such a great recognition. And you can speak like that. And you see all the colors, all the forms and this beautiful life.
This morning, I was listening to something. And they say listen, in India was it's really in the old times, the body was a bag of bones. And only the the seeing was important. But you know, now and now we can see we enjoy the body. We enjoy also the reflection. It's there. And it needs this body for to taste something or to hear something or to make love or make dancing. And that is also so good to recognize. For He was also a long time to see. Yeah, that's only witnessing and the body is not saying i'm not this i'm not that and the time you come back and yeah there is this beautiful vehicle this uh sometimes are really a little bit sad i cannot use the the beautiful language as all of here but uh there's a really repeating here but uh yeah to see that it is also that's a miracle that you have dreaming this dream and existence is before everything and then you look and you see and you taste and all all senses are open yes that's also such a beautiful thing to see that the senses already are open always and yeah maybe can dean say something beautiful on the end i'm a little bit stumbling with my language and give it a try dean when you want yeah you are invited now i i i sort of listened from in the car um the last sort of half an hour that i could could make it so i i heard i heard chemo and and the thursday and but i didn't hear you the mirroring um at the start um but you know i so i don't know what to summarize but but you know like i was listening to thursday and hearing the the undeniability like what did you do to to to for it to be thursday you know and and the fabulous like metaphor and example and pointer in it all and you know it just reminded me of so many magnificent pointers of bob's and and all of them are so brilliant that like they're they're all showing something and then you know it's like as brilliant as it is and this is not disrespecting any pointer in any way um is there a thursday if i don't think about it you know you know all of a sudden the pointer it does its job and then there's poof there's it's absolutely let go it's like letting go off the survey of the problem d and nothing's going to get past it's like letting go of the stress somewhere else so depending on one thing or the other it'll just turn it off.
It's like letting go of the stories of that big demo to the rest of the puzzle and like that's kind of it's like this reading the puzzle is sort of a very comprehensive understanding of this world ofaoedomity that's possible and so we've heard lots of thinks about every single point of mob compliance. of the you know the observer the witnesser the the observer of the observer the the all ideas like it's like a collapsation of all of them because everything every movement is is the mind every movement so you know like say relax but like the idea to relax is not relaxation um relaxation is the collapseation of all movement of all movement of of any energy that is in looking and seeking and and searching ah that pointer that brilliant pointer ah now i get it who gets it no one gets it it's it's an absolute resonance and and the resonation is not for anyone either like there's a collapse of the resonation as well and and all that's left is absolute immediacy all that's left is absolute nowness the presence and in that presence with non-conceptual presence non-concept no concept no label no distinction no no position no distance no no formulation of any any energy any idea that anything should be anything at all you can't do no one can do this you can't do this but like It's like the energy of that mind that has been created to embed it in those thoughts is an idea that there's a me running the show.
That whole system, that whole system is the collapse of the mind. The collapseation of that system itself. And what is left? What is left? It's unknowable. It can't be known. And yet there is a knowing. The knowing we talk about is not knowledge and something that's learned from a book or from a teaching or from a pointer or from an experience. It's the knowing of the existence. That's the shit. The knowing, not the shit. The shit. And what is that? That's here. That's immediate. And no one is excluded from it. There isn't anyone because it's one show. But in that, you know, there is no exclusion from it in any way.
It's the. The chip. It's a shit. Shit. As Jenny says, the shit, the shit, shit. Yeah. The whole chip. The whole chip, chip, chip, bang. Yeah. So it's, you know, yeah, it's, it's nice listening to everyone and the mirror as well. Like, you know, looking at the mirror, it's, it's wow. This is like a, this is, you know, you can see that what is being. Reflected. Who is it? Who's being reflected? What, how, who, what it's been reflected on. It's the whole reflection. The whole shebang is the reflection. Um, and the, the reflection appears in seeing in the, in the seeing itself and, and everything's inclusive in that reflection.
Um, but like if, when you look at a mirror, like there appears to be space and, and distance and, and this and that, and the other, it's a mirror. It's a, it's. Complete fast. There's no, you can't touch it. You can't grab it. You can't, it can't speak. And yet when you speak to a mirror, it appears to be speaking. You know, when, when, when, when that mirror moves, there appears to be movement, but there's no, the mirror can't move. The mirror can't speak. The mirror doesn't have dimensionality and, and space and, and distance and, and time and cause and effect or anything. It's just, it's just a piece of glass.
It's a mirror. Um, and. Yeah, that, that, that reflection analogy is, is absolutely brilliant. I wish I'd heard all of it, um, from, from the very beginning. Um, but I guess there's a little reminder here about, about all the pointing and pointers and, um, you know, to, to you take them on and then you let them go. I think the Raman is, you know, the thorn to release a thorn, but I don't like quoting, um, anyone really. Cause, cause all that comes out. Of this mouth is, is the direct experience of that. Nothing, nothing, anyone or anything can be said or read that can, that can actually describe or tell some fictitious character that this is it because this is undeniably it.
Um, and it's, it's that it-ness and that is-ness and that alive-ness for everyone. No exceptions. No, no, no exemptions. Um, no, there is no, nothing. There's no one that can be said. There's no one that can be separate from it. No one that can be, um, more in it or less in it, or because it's all encompassing. And that's why it's called the absolute. And, you know, that's why Bob started the meeting with like, you are start with that fact, start with that absolute fact that you are that. And in that everything is, and, and everything isn't too, because everything is the thing-ness is a reflection.
Um, so everything appears. The unreality of it is also there. Um, and the beauty that it feels or seems really is also there to be celebrated as life itself as the alive-ness. So there's a lot of little emojis flying all over the place. This is like a, like a space invaders game. And, um, thank you for listening and it's nine o'clock. Thanks guys. Ah, thank you. That was pure delight. Yes. That's. And that's really. Such a vital point pointers. And I think Kimo has highlighted at some point also, you know, pointers are to be used. Don't dismiss them before they do their job, but when they do their job, by all means, you know, they, uh, they note the boat that, you know, once you cross the river, you carry on your back in the forest.
No point point, no point in the pointer and the answers that was so beautiful Dean. And Jenny says. Thank you so much, Dean. Brilliant. And so lovely to get a belly laugh from the shit. Cheat. She bank. Hallelujah says, uh, has, uh, says Hank and DN says, uh, God, I just found the frogs and was looking for the. And, uh, and that's that. So back and that's that. Yes. So. Yeah. He's got a last word. Maybe. Does it. I'm sorry. I just wanted to thank you Dean. Thank you. I mean, because always when you come and when you, when you are asked to, to just, uh, make a conclusion or you wrap something up.
I mean, what comes out of your mouth is so brilliant. So profound. And. And also always there's something that really evokes this belly laughter. That comes so natural. And I just want to highlight the big gift of that. because you know so many times all that has to do with spirituality blah blah blah is always so much serious business and when you share the joy that comes out I mean it ignites it lights up the universe you know and that brings out the brings out the part in me that wants to come out and play and I'm so deeply grateful for that I just wanted to highlight that okay thank you thank you Jenny let's all play together as that one essence playing celebrating as that one yeah and yes by all means it is energetic you know like walk the walk just it's not it's not the words that I spoken but but also the the energy you know like walk the walk just it's not it's not the words that I spoken but but also the the energy behind it yes so thank you everyone thank you for hanging out and hopefully you have a wonderful weekend and then see you see you next time lots of love thank you all bye bye
