I think there's a sitting room. Hi everyone. Hi. We still have a couple joining. But in the meantime, we can ask if anyone would like to start us off today. Would anyone enjoy giving us a little introduction? Not really? How about you Dino? How about some questions? Questions is okay. Questions? Okay. I'll shoot couple of questions at Yvonne then. There's still couple of people joining. But as they are joining, you can start answering first question. All this talk about consciousness. Doesn't consciousness come from the brain? That's the question. Whoopsie. Sorry. What you say to that Yvonne? Consciousness from the brain? No. The brain comes from the other way around I think.

Yeah. Yeah. Short and sweet. Exactly. When it is called consciousness, it is kind of confusing. Because it depends what we put as a definition. Bob used to call it intelligence energy. Or basically just life essence or life force or energy. Then there is no question. We know that before the brain even come online, before it was even formed, the life essence was already animating the little fetus, the little cells or the little body. But when consciousness is defined as electrical activity of the machine, then of course if there was no brain, there was no electrical activity of the brain. So yes, your answer is spot on.

Short and sweet. It goes the other way around. But sometimes it might require a couple of disclaimers. It depends on the definition. You want one more? Yes. So are animals and babies already in this state? Everybody is in this state. So there is no other state. There is only this. Only this, yes. There is no other state. Beautiful. The idea that there is a special state that we have to achieve and babies have already achieved that state is misguided. It is only this. No other states. Short and sweet. Brilliant. Perfect. How about plants and stones and stars? If they have another state, they also... There is just what is.

What is comes in everything. The stones and everything is dead. So there is no difference as humans. Everything is dead. Yes. Yes. Yes. Again, sometimes the elaboration of just exposing the idea of state and being in the state, meaning being possibly out of the state, is kind of highlighting the ridiculousness of the question. Because sometimes the whole joy of deconstruction comes from exposing the question, that it comes from the assumption that there is a state in which one has to find themselves, be in or out, while there is just presence, always. Like there is always... And forms like everything. Yes. Yes. Beautiful. Now, next question.

Are spiritual powers a sign of realization? No. That's the same question. There are no other... There are no progresses. It is just this. And some people have powers and they are psychic or something else. But that is no... Recommend... There is no... Not... Are you still there, Cat? Yes. Yes. Yes. Can you... Oh, okay. There is no something that is necessary to be what you are. You are... You are this, and that's all. Some people... Yes. Just like some animals have special powers, like the bats. They use sonar. other people have maybe psychic powers or yeah yeah it's just what is it's it's not recommended to be what you are you are already dead with or without special powers it's no difference it is different it is maybe important for the person who has it but not but not for the consciousness it's just all the same just like some people can can draw very good i like making mandalas you said you have a mandala group i make mandalas very and i uh i'm a kind of an artist and that is what i do and other people write books or poems or whatever but it's not that my expression is better than another person or animal animal can express too yeah yeah perfect beautiful and i encourage everyone who is with us here to reflect on those questions and see that you too know all the answers that those questions are really intuitive really simple and as yvonne answers just straight from the heart with one word you can elaborate and explain it because there are people who actually you know identify as a seekers and they believe that oh i can't trust someone who can't prove me that they already achieved some superior or supreme stage than i did and maybe they can walk on water then i can trust them those ideas are just a misconceptions are just assumptions and they are all reiterating the separation and i love your example yvonne special power you know what special power special according to who society today defines special power as walking on water might have been societies and communities where healing was normal or where singing was normal or a special power to be able to sing beautifully or paint or draw so again it's a matter of definition but yeah short and sweet is always good now one more question are there any methods that will help us achieve self self-realization no it's just this and any method will will will say time and there is no time it is just immediate without mediation just this yeah so it's only this this moment this only this point yeah absolutely only this nothing else yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes and and good point to just add to drop into the mix that you know method requires time where the method is applied and the result is achieved it also the method requires an entity that is using the method and it requires a becoming the idea of becoming and this is all against the direct experience realization or recognition that you already are present and aware yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes so this is a new approach to life so to the를 method you can call than measure or Point Gsee Which doesn't require time doesn't require method It's spontaneous and it can only happen here.

It can't happen tomorrow It can't happen in 20 years with monastery after thousands of hours of meditating. It's now or never and it's always now That is Elvis no one ever Did you read the question No, and says the palace people see in their teachers really only getting the way a lot of the time Yeah, absolutely and actually is really funny I have seen how those powers actually come online when I had a guru in India and That was actually quite a cute little story Because it really illustrated and closed down all those ideas of superpowers for me the guru was doing the Discourse or satsang and I had a group of people from Poland I think it was like 12 of us or 15 of us done.

I don't remember so And and and surgery the guru was speaking Hindi. So there was a booth with couple of translators who were Simultaneously translating from Hindi to English and there was an extra booth for myself where from English I was translating to polish for the group of people sitting in the room with the headphones on So if so She said something funny before that funny thing was translated the thousand people in a room would laugh and then it's good translated to English then it got translated to polish and then 15 second letter the 15 people would laugh and during the whole discourse the Meditation was offered just a slow relaxing close your eyes focus on your breathing now notice who is focusing anybody there Try to locate it and it was absolutely beautiful everything about this teaching and and this presentation was beautiful I'm still working on it As a service to this day with a lot of reverence and gratitude, but that's just what arises Being in that separate booth In a separate location outside of that of that whole Satsang big hall when The meditation was offered everyone had the eyes closed following the Guru's instruction Focusing on the breathing relaxing as guru was speaking to his little mic He walked out went to the first booth blow a little kiss and wave to the people Translating from Hindi to English and then he went to my little booth and waved and and blow blew a little kiss to to the person Allegedly person translating to polish and that was so very sweet.

He was still giving the instruction I was still translating the instructions and 1000 people in the room. We're sitting and following Obeying the guru with the eyes closed and guess what happen when the whole thing that wrapped up in an hour? And I walked out and I shared with the people Polish people how sweet it was that he would come and wave and the Polish people and the people around ask what would happen what happened so I told them in English what happened and suddenly the wave of whisper went around the room oh my god he must have been in two places at once he never left the room everyone everybody had their eyes closed I say hello hello wait wait wait a minute did you actually disobey the guru's instruction and kept your eyes open yeah no but he was in two places they wanted to believe it so much so badly that when I came there six months later with another group that was the standing story says she has superpower of appearing in few places at once and I had no intention of starting the rumor and I had no intention of starting the rumor and I had no intention of starting the rumor and I had all of the intention to debunk it by pointing out that no one had their eyes closed for me it wasn't absolutely necessary not only it wasn't necessary for the guru to be superior in any way actually the opposite was necessary and this was why in a few years later when I ended up in Bob's rooms where some of the Indian looking people ask if they can kiss his lotus feet and he said you can kiss my ass and gave him a bear hug instead we are equals there's no one superior here no one inferior here I'm not better wiser or more enlightened or holier than thou there is no separation so if if anyone is to have superpower that asserts separation I'm above you I'm better than you I can be in two places and you can't so that's not the point of the story that I'm telling you but pointing to non-duality is pointing towards already here if you can draw beautiful mandalas or you can sing or be in three places fine that's already here there's nothing that needs to be developed and that's the beauty and elegance of um of non-duality there's no prerequisite there is no qualification there is no necessary required IQ or amount of there is no necessary required IQ or amount of memory where you hold the knowledge amount of books that you need to read or practice that you need to achieve no it's a simple basic recognition of that which is already present if I can think okay that's what's happening I can't think that's what's happening I can walk on the water that's what's happening so that is that was just a digression and I think I missed out the hunt was up yeah that was Cornelius but Yvonne also wraps it up with by saying by saying we are omnipotent omnipresent and omniscient and there is no one else with powers there you go if anyone with powers appears it appears in your consciousness inseparable from it inseparable from you and I think it was Cornelius with the hand up but where are you Cornelius figuring out the technology ah there you are uh the idea of um duration came up that ah the idea of um duration came up that there's very tricky idea that there's a before now and there's very tricky idea that there's a before now and an after now and we get so involved in that it an after now and we get so involved in that it seems to feed so many other delusions that that when when it's investigated carefully there isn't because it's always just now this is it and always just now this is it nothing else but it's one of it's one of those things that you take it for granted that there for granted that there was just before and that you take it for granted that there's going to be just in a minute and then there never is i mean and all that um the story of trying to achieve a certain state is as is as bogus as that that the the people the other people with the special states are arising in consciousness or not that um i chased those special states for many years thinking that there was some um some value in in in being kind of half uh in this sort of weird drunk state now i i don't know where it came from and i don't know why it happened uh or or what made it happen uh perhaps there are certain characters who can do certain things to the whole uh biochemical system that enables them to manipulate energy in such a way that it does affect other apparent beings um now it seems uh like yeah some people can generate a lot of money some people can see what's going to happen in the future um , in the apparent future uh it just seems like a flavor of the um the show the Shakti the Maya whatever you want to call it uh but it doesn't discount that there is only this moment right now with this voice in these pictures and this floating ever-changing um tapestry of stuff so yeah other states and other people it's um it's not really not really happening yeah putting the heart in that which is happening prioritizing that which is happening and then yeah sure entertaining imagination if it's happening that's fine too but being with that what is now and really finding the finding the perfection finding the appreciation for this for this nowness rather than just being preoccupied with imagination what is not happening what is not going right and of course to certain extent that is also necessary if you break a leg and it's bleeding the attention is called there straight away and it is attended if there is um tax office ringing you three times a day yes attention is called there and it is attended uh but when immediate necessity isn't there well why not rest in the uncontrived singularity like the cat basking in the sun when it's not hungry and chasing food or is or is not needing to uh groom itself or or or peace itself is just basking in the presence in the sunlight of the spirit as Bob used to say just just enjoying the current breath enjoying the seeing the capacity for seeing for hearing tasting touching smelling entertaining thoughts yes there's always there's always silence I was out on Saturday night and there was a band playing and they were really loud I realized that with all that with all the people around talking and all the all the stuff going on it's still possible to become aware of the silence and that if there's no method there's no practice but if that's if that's um if attention is given to that then it's always there that's that's the um that's the the vast silent nothingness from which everything else comes from and it's to think about it too much to conceptualize it seems to form a duality until you unthink that to say well without the awareness of this episode or without the episode itself then there's nothing so that there is something so those two things are always together they're inseparable the the thing and the awareness of the thing um so it's easier to make pictures uh and talk about um the manifest and the non-manifest or the silence and the noise the silence behind the music it's always there the more attention you give to that silence uh in the midst of everything else in the midst of talking to the tax office waiting on the phone for two hours uh the silence is always there and nothing's happening particularly talking to someone on the telephone where they put you on hold there's just nothing happening nothing happening now and can you read it oopsie oh yeah I think it's just the last one yeah yeah but and also said earlier still dream stuff if you fly in a dream it means nothing exactly anyone says who gives the silence attention attention yeah lovely lovely yes see attention moves of its own like if you watch anything you don't know your next thought you don't know where you're gonna attend to next there may be a sudden noise arising and attention straight away because you can't separate the awareness or the attention from the arising whatever is registered is already some attention spent in registering that phenomena but there is always some attention left for the registering itself so there is no one who gives who directs attention and yet attention gets directed on autopilot by itself the dreaming machine is dreaming the self-organizing universe is moving everything is moving planets is moving blood in the veins and is moving attention that movement spontaneous movement constant response inseparable from stimuli seeing that all incredible phenomena of mind or so-called mind because you can't even find the mind of attending to things and yet even the movement of attention is registered is known there is an awareness relaxed space-like knowingness in which all the movement is noticed is witnessed is known you you often speak of the system as being like um um logistical um a software program um and that it can take a while for the nervous system the biological nervous system um and of course yeah at the same time I'm going yeah right that's just a story but okay in the story um the nervous system is is trailing behind the the apparent relations taking place to deconstruct any idea of it there being a nervous system so but the emphasis on on repetition on abiding in that nothingness abiding in the silence uh allow what the mind the mind reacts to the environment eventually the mind reacts to an environment where it becomes evident that nothing's really happening that it's just now and things appear to be changing because that's what the things do the inseparability of the things changing and the awareness of those changing things the nervous system perhaps catches up with that and kind of reprograms the whole business to not be so stressed out all the time it's just like all right it's just all gonna just like all right and that is already gone and that's gone and tomorrow may never happen uh so that seems to be like even with this uh imaginary physical form it adapts and adjusts to the new information I suppose yeah and this is this um this weekly discussion um seems to be part of that process yeah uh seems to be but because really like it's just happening now but that's so hard to put into words you're doing well really really it is impossible to describe in words but you're doing really well yes the large language models continually learns and exposed to this this particular frequency field which is moving the attention away from phenomena and resting it in that registering capacity or witnessing capacity it already reprograms the whole language model and it does bring much much more chill and much much more joy so if the large language model is actually uh um designed for survival for maximizing pleasure for maximizing um chill uh it's gonna eventually catch on yeah and just chill yeah uh that the the most evident thing here if I can say if anything has changed because anyone who lives with me go well he's exactly the same always raving on about his non-juality but he's still just the same guy it's like yeah and I've got a sticker on my computer that says just leave it as it is like he doesn't have to become someone else because all the becoming is kind of continuing to become whatever it's becoming but the biology seems to the biology that wants to survive and maximize pleasure seems to have caught on and go well you think all this stuff's going on like you think she's in the other room screaming but actually it's just a manifestation of some particularly energetic pattern that's flowing past and then it's gone as quickly as it arrives so if you don't get sucked into it by thinking that there's things like duration or a separate individual that has a has some skin in the game uh then very quickly it passes and it always oh back to like yeah just chill lazy old nothingness which is pretty super actually yeah yeah yeah yeah Yeah yeah mind is still mind you know the the program the software the language model the narrative is still doing whatever it has been conditioned to do is still programmed to maximize pleasure and survive and negotiate so now the less the more conviction in that in that cognizing emptiness witnessing the language model working work or that your goal is to can The more conviction.

relax the paused in the social state. And more relaxed than in the natural state the less loud unless dysregulated. Language model the less volume on that narrative on that speaker there. it's just not enough processing power available if the process. think. Promoting. you know because I don't. Wirkung toutes. Tanner team that network anything else to do ist yapt von las Was Linda. Just talk for a minute. I want just go to home he has. registering then playing that dramas is almost as if I think I was telling Dean the story a couple of days ago about a guy I was working with on the ships and Norwegian sailor who at some point watched a really fascinating movie and after that movie they were interviewed all the actors the director it was shown how the movie was made how the lights and the cameras and how the scene was made how the special effects were designed and for whatever reason his processor completely tripped that was decades earlier and since then he could never enjoy a movie ever again he could never make himself believe like following the plot of the drama or the love story of the horror he could never understand.

Then I told him for example that he may think he is actually all right, but he Grundfeld and I have friends and He could just see straight away where the camera was standing, how the costume, how the plastic or ketchup was played in, and he was very resentful about it. He said, people rave about wonderful movies. I can't have it. It's been taken away from me. That's just an affliction. People have different afflictions. But it is a great example illustrating how the sting is taken away from the horror movie when you realize this is just a horror movie. It is not the truth. It's not the reality.

So in the same way, realizing that you are the presence, you are the consciousness, you are here now, this is it. And now the mind is coming and throwing the anxiety into the mix or throwing a panic attack into the mix. And that is being registered. And in that registering, there's complete peace, complete neutrality. Mind is throwing panic attack. Wow, how brilliant. And mind is throwing panic attack because it has been conditioned this way to survive. At some point, this panic attack might have been lifesaving. Even if it wasn't, the calculation of the processor made it the most. It was the most powerful. It was the most powerful.

It was the most valuable option at some point. And it became habituated and it's thrown up again. And from registering field, seeing that phenomena arising, you can't help but just wow. Wow, that's incredible. And that which says wow is not in panic. That which registers panic is not in panic at all. It's actually quite entertained. Wow. It's just a stance. The that which panics. It's just those cameras put up and you know how it is made. You know how the panic has been created. You know why it is there. In response to what? And you're watching that acting mind, acting out of the role that has been rehearsed and has been programmed.

And what need do you have to do anything about it? Fix it, alter, modify it, correct it. None whatsoever. You see the phenomena. You are free. You are free. You are free from phenomena. You are the seeing of the phenomena, not the actor, not the director, not the controller, not even the seeing. You are the seeing of the phenomena. And the next thing may arise in the phenomena. Oh, shit. I'm sick of that cortisol running through my system. I'm going to go and do something about it. That is also being witnessed. That is also being witnessed. Oh, suddenly, oh, something is being done about the panic attacks.

Some, maybe trauma release therapy or some exercises or meditations being done. And the witnessing presence still sees, aha, impersonal panic attack. Aha, impersonal remedy to the panic attack. Wow. Wow. What an amazing entertainment. It sounds like The Wizard of Oz movie. And if I say it sounds like The Wizard of Oz movie. Yeah, it's better than that. I've noticed that people who seem to suffer from various different types of mental illness, from what I've seen around here, it's not that they've disengaged from the idea of the separate person, that they haven't disengaged from the idea of the world, they become so lost in the repetitive, the loop, that they can't get out of it.

It becomes like a prison that isn't even there, that they themselves seem to be spewing out and keeping it going. Because what is that like? Is that like a fear of the emptiness? A fear of the silence? And the importance of these repetitive thoughts, which seems to verify their existence as a separate being that warrants respect and warrants all these things that they seem so obsessed about not getting from this apparent external world. Yeah, that was what I wanted to say. Anne said earlier, my dad likes to point out the choice people have behind their experience. Obviously, there's no free will, but it's paradoxical that we feel trapped and the power of belief gives energy to that.

We don't see that in a sense, we do it to ourselves, even if that's not really true. And then he goes further and says, I also want to point out the idea of a paradox falls away when there's no duality. Great. Great point. Yeah. Yeah. Paradox is a mindfuck if you are looking through the lens of the mind. And it is actually quite beautiful that even though it is inexpressible, it can still be pointed out through paradoxes. But all the paradoxes are resolved if there is no thinking, no mind, no problem, no paradox, no person, no paradox. No mind. No past. No future. No here and there.

So this is again the joy of having even a moment of a respite from thinking. No mind, no paradox, no problem, no issues, no dramas, no person, no enemies, no friends, no gender, no nationality. All of that comes from thinking. And yet without that, existence shines. Yeah. Existence shines of its own. It's the luminous presence, the awareness of existence, never gone anywhere. Without the language model formulating an image, a conceptual image of me and the map of reality, how it is, how other people are, what is in relation to me, without all those things, existence dies. existence is shining of its own seeing is happening hearing tasting touching smelling being sensing perceiving conceiving all of that is happening so it shows clearly that the language model and the program the narrative program is just added it is not who or what you are regardless of what the thought is telling you if thought is telling you that you are a separate person and thought is giving you proof that you are a separate person without the thought you don't disappear without remembering that you are separate person existence is still there but what are you what are you if you had no memory if you had no thought no capacity for thinking they are working on the this helmets with high frequency helmets where default mode network certain frequencies are generated and thinking is disrupted and they experiment on people i i read an article about that don't remember where without thinking if anything the presence is more prominent it's not um so Oh, oh, you know, like watching 10 different television sets are thinking about this thinking about tomorrow about yesterday thinking about myself thinking about Oh, how do I look at what people think of me all that monitors watching around and scattering the, the, the attention into all this when that goes blank and there is no reflection nothing to tells me what I am where I am how I am what anything means?

Yes. presence if anything it just shines brighter but it shines even with all the tv sets and all the dramas and all the thoughts roaming freely it shines even if there is a mental illness and a looping mind constantly obsessing about me or about fear of death or whatever it is that it obsesses about and of course and it and it has ripple effect on on the dream within the dream one person suffering intensely has a ripple effect on on everything within that dream for one it will be a heart opening compassion for another one it will be a source of annoyance for yet another one it will be a personal drama and and and don't That's the dream.

Yet all of that is registered. And we don't really dwell much in what one can or should do in the dream. Because the dream is secondary. Primary is the recognition that the dream is only here because you are. If there is no presence, there is no dream, there is no drama. There is no fear of dying. There is no immortality ambition. There is no desire, no aversion. Because there is consciousness, everything else is. Yes, Cornelius? I read an interesting thing that said it doesn't really help much to try and figure out the why of Maya, the why of consciousness. Like, why is this happening? And why is it like this?

It's like this. That doesn't really help. It's more helpful to just abide in that nothing and stop analyzing the shit. The shit's there. You're aware of it. It's together. They're dancing. Just like you've got to sort of, what is it? Enjoy the dance or accept the dance. Or it's just all. Dancing. Figuring out the whys is kind of like a red herring that leads you back into the mental loop. Yeah, yeah, totally. Why? Why question is the shortest way to invite the mind to tell the story. To start justifying. To start explaining. Imagining. Imagining. Why? Why is the sky blue? Because one, two, three, four, five, six, seven stories, eight stories.

Why am I like this? Why is life like this? Not only it shows also the emotional content. But mainly it just invites the mind. Is the question why takes you nowhere? It just, I mean, it's a beautiful question if you really want to see a good storytelling. And it's nothing wrong in a good storytelling. It's quite beautiful. It's quite amazing. And even pondering at the mind. Oh yeah. The mind just exhibited the panic attack. Wow. What a strategy. I wonder. Hmm. And then it brings up the situations that may actually justify why this particular response, but looking at the mind and looking at the story, why from that cognizing emptiness, rather than from the mind.

And looking at the story, why from that cognizing emptiness, rather than from the mind. Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Like why am I like this? I hate myself. I don't like that. I don't want that. Yeah, the comment. Yeah, well, that asks is it's a very popular thing to ask why are we here? I think of Bob talking of cause and effect. Mind is the cause. And why are we here? Is just mind causing a problem. That's lovely. Yeah. that's a that's a perfect answer cause and effect mind is a cause causing problems yeah yeah and those questions yeah i think i have it on my list of all the spiritual questions from nisargadatta's books and questions that were asked bob a lot of those questions are the why question and the good good question to ask when you hear why question is what sort of answer are you expecting to get for the why question a story to believe and let's say we give you three or four stories option why why are we here ah because god made the man of clay and then put them in the paradise okay another story why we are here ah because of the karma and bad karma evil karma whatever we can say as many stories as we want the common denominator is for that that story to be valid there has to be a belief suddenly you reduce the all-pervading omnipresence omnipotence on omniscience to a mere little pathetic follower a believer a fanatic of some or the other conceptual story of origin so the why question always invites the story and then it requires a believer to validate the story and now you're going to have to do it again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again who am i not the omnipresence who am i not the omnipresence who am i not the omnipresence anymore i'm a believer of this i am a anymore i'm a believer of this i am a anymore i'm a believer of this i am a vegan i am a conspiracy believer i am vegan i am a conspiracy believer i am vegan i am a conspiracy believer i am jehovah jehovah jehovah something limited something separate go on something limited something separate go on something limited something separate go on cornelius cornelius cornelius um there was a story in india and uh um there was a story in india and uh you keep asking why and why and why ultimately why did why did shiva the one manifest as the many it's like the ultimate answer was well for fun for sport that was kind of that was as far as they got yeah yeah why not that was the question i got when i went on my journey uh 20 plus years ago asking the power plants for the answer why why would love inseparable beautiful oneness want to experience itself in so many different ways separation and the pain and fear and dread and the answer was brilliant was absolutely brilliant why not is the closest i could get to it but the answer was like an incredibly colorful psychedelic mandala of colors and shapes and patterns and possibilities of experiencing everything all at once and the beauty and the brilliance of that was just clear and obvious so the question wasn't really answered the question was laughed away why not is the best use of the word why haha yeah i love your comments aunt yep the best why not why i heard also because annoying answer why because but but because what who cares a rude answer who cares we used to laugh away with bob from that rudeness there's nothing rude about it actually quite beautiful beautiful pointer and reminder who who wants to know who cares is there anybody there or is just the caring arising is there anybody there is just the desire arising or aversion arising or the sensation arising sensation of thirst sensation of hunger sensation of cold the mind translated straight away i want to drink i am cold and straight away the presumption is that there is someone there experiencing the feeling but there is no one there is just the urge arising sensation arising bladder is full okay sensation moves the body to the toilet and the narrative commentary says i made a mistake i made the decision i chose to get up and walk away and do the p how would you even do it how you wouldn't even have a clue how to filter the the fluids how to order kidneys to work nothing it's just the language that creates the illusion of somebody being the doer being in charge being in control while everything is happening and is being discovered as it arises thirst arises i need to drink he is gonna live and the narrative always seems to kick in retrospectively to say oh i chose that it's like i've been trying to watch this moment because like i'm sitting around doing nothing and what the moment when everything the entire universe says it's time to go up it's time to get up and go and sit somewhere else or it's time to get up and go upstairs and start making dinner it's time to get up and go and call someone so there was no decision the the idea of the decision is like sort of something that's been backfilled for some reason so it's like to is it to reinforce this might sound like a why question to reinforce the um the notion that there's some geezer there who makes a particular type of decision or he has a sense of of time all right it's three o'clock it's time to go upstairs and start making dinner i'm kind of responsible so i made the choice that now it's three o'clock i'm gonna go upstairs and start making dinner or did something else some some sort of cosmic habit impose itself retrospectively on something that the whole universe conspired to make happen and and now we get carried away by this apparent millions of these little happenings and millions of these choices which coagulates into like a person who makes these type of choices it's um it's a circus this is good it's a circus yes and and the whole universe also conspires to create that thought at the same moment that i chose it yeah yeah the universe that created you and installed that narrative software and programmed it in this particular way to speak in this particular tone of voice you know people have the chastising inner judges judge voice all the time in the head oh you're wasting your potential oh you're good for nothing or you don't deserve that or you must do this other people will have the two voices juggling each other oh i should do that no you shouldn't oh you should no so many different voices it happens it happens in this forum the the apparent decision to speak or to not speak and either way there is a corresponding narrative that floods into the space of of words that says oh you're such a wanky i think you know all about it oh all right you you should you should you should open up and like open your mouth and and share uh because you've got such fabulous insight like both ends of the spectrum is kind of noise um um i sang in a band for many years and the last band that broke up the guy said to me he said you've got a real ego on you it's like when i thought about it it's like well i don't know if i'm going to be able to do this but i'm going to i don't know if i'm going to be able to do this but i'm going to be able to do this but i'm going to know whether it was ego or it's just like an x you accept that you've got to do this thing in front of people if you get on stage and you don't do it uh it's not really going to work so you get on stage and you do your thing and then like my colleague accusing me of having an ego it's like well it seems to be again it's the same thing like do i talk because we're all in this stew and you might as well just kind of swim around and enjoy it and and say whatever comes out and and and say whatever comes out and and say whatever comes out and and say whatever comes out because it's not like there's some guy behind here cooking this up and like i've prepared all week i tried that and it sort of didn't work like i wrote out ideas and quotes and stuff and it's like oh by the time it comes out it sort of feels like um dead yeah there's a spontaneous direct experience blah blah that comes spontaneously out of the direct experience see i couldn't have written that yep so um yeah perfect and that's why and answers like love the word circus because they are to be enjoyed and laughed at that yeah that's yeah that's it and the idea of one accusing the other of having an ego wow what a circus the idea of the ego of having an ego andrew would you like to unmute i see you have oh yeah hit the wrong hit the wrong button yeah i was i was thinking you know like um see we talked about advaita advaita not one one but not never never two and um but we never think of the second word is uh i advaita vedanta vedanta i don't really know what it means but apparently it means the ending of the vedas or the ending of knowledge and one of the things that has dawned on me so powerfully over the last few years is the use is is how use useless knowledge is is um like for example you could say well what knowledge did you need when you were when you were in the womb what knowledge did you need then?

You didn't need anything. You were just living, your mother's life was flowing through you. And the same goes when you were a young child. What knowledge did you have? But you're still breathing, you're still growing, your fingernails are growing, your hair's growing, the body's recharging very fast when you're young. You've got a lot of energy, you've got a lot of power. And what knowledge is needed for that? It's nothing. And then we go on a quest or whatever, start looking into things and we start to try and acquire knowledge, thinking, oh, if I only know this or if I only know that, I will therefore...

be somewhere or get something. And then with me is what's dawned on me is knowledge is completely useless. Because I used to love reading books. I used to love reading books and I was very acquisitive about knowledge, wanting to know things, you know, I've got to know this, I've got to know that. I wanted to learn a bit about Vedic astrology. I had to know everything about it. You know, I had to read every single book on the subject. And the time with yoga, you know, I read all about yoga and all these different esoterical subjects and occult subjects. I mean, I even did a course in tarot cards.

I was the only guy in the class, all these middle-aged women in the class, but I even did a course on tarot cards. So I was interested in all these subjects. A few years ago, it just dawned on me like the uselessness of knowledge. Like, I mean, oh, well, I wouldn't say uselessness. I mean, it has its use. But what you need to know, you tend to naturally know in the moment. Like, for example, my ankles are very swollen at the moment and my tendons and my ankles have blown up and I haven't been able to walk for the last few weeks. So intuitively, I just, I get two big bags of ice and I put my ankles in the ice and I soak my ankles in the ice for a few hours and then they start to itch like hell.

And then I'm itching like hell. So I pick up my scratcher and I'm scratching my feet. But what sort of knowledge do I need for these things? These things go on. Naturally, you just seem to what you need to know, you know, in the moment by moment response to life. And so all the acquired knowledge of the intellect, it's it can't compete. It can't compare with the natural intelligence that's there, the natural intelligence that's living you, that's breathing you, the natural intelligence that knows, you know, what to do. You know, the natural intelligence that's keeping you alive, keeping your heart beating, keeping your fingernails going, keeping everything going in the body.

Now the acquired intellect cannot compete with that. The acquired intellect is usually just secondhand knowledge you've read in the book or someone else's opinion. So I just dropped it. All of us, I've gone from a person who used to read a lot of books and that to just reading this. Absolutely nothing now. Absolutely nothing. Nothing. I cannot. Yeah, I can watch a YouTube video maybe, but I cannot read anything anymore about, especially about non duality because I keep asking myself how, what, what, why would I need to read about what I already am? What I already am. I already am. I already, I'm already complete and whole.

What possibly could somebody tell me that could make me complete and whole? Oh, when I'm already that it's kind of like all I'm going to, all I'll end up doing is confusing myself or moving away from what I, where I need to be, what I am here and now present and aware by sort of getting involved in all these sort of, uh, uh, I don't know, beliefs where it starts to become a belief system. It starts to become. Yeah. Uh, yeah, it starts to become like that. I just don't, I just don't, like I said, I don't think the acquired intellect has any ability to compete with the natural intelligence that you are and you are always that.

And see, the thing is, is you are, you've always been that you've always been that. So you don't need to acquire anything. So if you see that, uh, sort of a piece. Yes. Come out of you because you, you, you, you give up. You give up the striving to become. You give up the striving to need to know, because if you ask yourself the question, well, who needs to know what we would need to know that, you know, like you ask yourself the question, who am I? Well, who the fuck would need to know that you would then you have to create, you have to create an entity that sort of, then that entity starts to explore what I am against.

What I am. not and it sort of becomes like a fucking mind game you know rather than just being peaceful as you are be as you are you know and that's a bad all it's all good to say uh yeah you're gonna read it uh thank you andrew yeah be the peace that you already are okay come on let's last one here okay okay uh yeah yvonne did did tarot okay yeah you look like a bit of a tarot reader yvonne yeah it just happened and then says does the intelligence energy take the accumulated intelligence into the equation probably just gets in the way yeah and and this is this is not to say yes there is natural intelligence and if you look at this pesto here walking around and and and putting the tail into a camera there is a natural intelligence without any reading books and and the cat knows how to survive and like bob would sometimes quote a bible where you know your father knows that you have needs of those things the lilies on the fields the father knows that you need to be dressed and all what is is is provided in the moment and sometimes what is needed and what is provided in the moment is some sort of a training it's like medical surgeon training and that's also part of intelligence is is is not excluded like i was working at sea and we would have training every week we would practice survival skills i mean everyone knew that uh all of the people who worked at the world academy pointed out that every morning when they were the masters of today would be doing a series so you'll have the productivity of these exercises um of course if OC hoses were put in service you know all all those functions just all desire to stay focussing on something in your time it's you know force what brings home ка tired so why is it that you are not aware of these relationships and why is it can't you just always be comfortable for you know when you are forced to know those things instrumentally then .

. . wisdom will be given if the instinct is required behavior is required it will be given yes cornellis i wonder if life is actually completely automatic and it just unfolds how it unfolds and there's no necessity to have any um narrative at all it's still it's well it's just now anyway like nothing's happening but i resonate strongly with what andrew just said um uh thinking that sucking up all that knowledge and i was a kid who used to walk to school with my nose in a book as i walked along uh that that was um that was a big part of this story was like you have to figure it out so to figure it out you've got to rule the books um but ultimately as he just said like it's just this and nothing else there's there's nothing to do and nowhere to go and you don't have to yeah i seem to go through the same thing like oh like it's just this and nothing else like it's not going to get any better or more because this is already the most um that more information more knowledge uh you put wisdom in a different category a different wisdom is referring to something else but is wisdom just the the uh the um a skillful manipulation of the stored knowledge uh or the stored information uh but um if if it's all just unfolding automatically as it does if um what is happening uh without uh without any particular preference um then that's it uh so yeah i've stopped reading all those books all those books um uh me too yeah i still have a fantasy about sitting down and reading a book, best of all novel, but it's just not happening because i have so much so yeah i've slept a bit today because i know tonight is fineそれと上 tomorrowの仰天は much fun chatting with other people but uh a lot of my intersoriations happened and futurelarını upến and non-duality then it is just not happening one day maybe it happens i always travel with a book and barely ever have the chance to open it but again this is on life you know there are people who actually get quite but i do like what what andrew pointed out you know the the vedanta being the end of vedas end of all studies the lack of necessity to study is the motivation behind the study i will have to become i have to figure it out i am incomplete there is something wrong there is something missing there's something lacking that's why i have to watch another video and i have to read another book or listen to another audiobook there is nothing wrong it is just to recognize that there is nothing wrong already in this moment as it is and if from that recognition you find yourself looking at the book well there is no agenda here that's just what's happening whether you're watching or reading a book or watching a tv show or sunset or yeah that's just what's happening or watching a screen full of people we could make comment oh well no well uh and says actually you would you would want the required knowledge so as to not be confused and the detriment but i feel life will only put you places where you are equipped to deal with it yeah and and and if you are not well the dream will end the the body mind expires you know the time comes when yeah that doesn't happen i mean you know the people are put in places when they get abused you know i was listening to the audiobook sometimes i have time for that and on on medical science and apparently just by mistake a documentation has been discovered about the tortures that took place in japanese prisons in during the second world war far far more vicious than the ones in germany and nobody would even know about it the doctors responsible where the documentations, the papers were signed and it was hidden out of the human view.

And those horrific experiments on people whose life put them in a place where they couldn't possibly make it, that wasn't, they were not in the right place. The documentation, for example, how long it takes to kill a person through sleep deprivation or through starvation. Every experiment done to its very end until the person died. And what is the dying? Awakening from the dream. And if those people did not die prematurely in this horrific way, well, they would be dead anyway right now. This is not to diminish the fact that sometimes life puts people in places where they won't make it. Car accidents, cancers, jobs in the city.

Jobs in which they will be abused. It does sometimes happen. But in the greater scheme of things, even that is part of the play. And then having the attitude that whatever is happening to you, well, that's life experiencing itself through you, as you. And if it doesn't make it, well, guess what? In 100 years, you're not going to be here anyway. So what does it matter whether it ends tonight or in 20 other nights or 20 other decades? Right? But yeah, it is lovely to trust life. Is there another one? No amount of prep or knowledge can equip you for that. Absolutely. Yes, Cornelius, would you like to unmute?

Yeah. So this floats around here. The idea that, yeah, but you know, like there's terrible things that happen. There's torture. There's accidents. There's the threat of nuclear war and global warming. And it's a crisis. And everything is getting worse. And the fascists are taking over. And all this terrible shit is going down. It's like, no, it's not. You just could think that there is. And you could give attention to those particularly flavored thoughts. But it's not happening now. There's no accidents happening. There's no car accidents happening right here now. There's no nuclear war. Climate change has been pretty mild since this morning. So if I was to leap into the story and be the fucking crazy Irish rebel that I really am and get really excited about all this stuff and scream about how capitalism needs to end today for the sake of the planet and every living thing on it.

Well, you know, I've done that. And I'm just rabbiting on with the mental loop in my mind. And that's not to say when this forum finishes, I'll go and rave at whoever I encounter in the street about what I just said. Because that seems to be the way that this Irish lunatic has been programmed. But for now, and if now is always, we'll see. We'll see. Always? Well, then, really, Cornelius, there's nothing to worry about. Nothing wrong with right now, unless you think about it. Unless you think about it. There you go. He said it, didn't he? Yeah. And I love how we actually really collectively deconstruct all the ideas because it's only the idea that can seemingly enslave us.

That's the only freedom. The freedom from the prison of believing ideas. Believing the idea of me. Believing the idea of whatever, nuclear war risk. Or any ideas. And sometimes the ideas, like, just because there is more freedom, like there is an incredible value in everything that everyone brings, and opposite is also included. You know, like what Andrew is saying, natural instinct is absolutely there. Totally there. Life is having inbuilt program of self-protection. It is there, like it or not. And yet, the other thing is included as well. If the wisdom or knowledge or specific skill is required, that is included also. And this is also on life.

And then, of course, there comes an idea, well, life will provide. And sometimes it is not. Sometimes it will not provide. And that is also included. Sometimes it will provide hostility. Sometimes it will provide cancer and kill it. That is too included. And then Cornelius deconstructs even that. Because this is not right now. And that is also included. And this is just brilliant deconstruction of all ideas. And, Andrew, would you like to unmute? Yes. Well, I was just thinking about what you just said about, you know, what, what. What's wrong with right now? If you don't think about it, you know, you just have to look and say, well.

Am I a man or a woman if I don't think about it? Am I old or am I young if I don't think about it? You know, you can anything you can think about. So. So you can negate everything by negating thinking. So. So you take away thinking. And that leaves nothing. There's not nothing to be objectified anymore. So you can't say whether you're a male or a female. You can't say whether you're old or young. You can't say you have a nationality. You can't say you have an age. You can't say you have a name. Right. You can't even say you have a body or you have any form.

If you take away. So. So. So you say you say what? What's wrong with what? That's the real power in that statement. You know what is wrong with right now? If you don't think about it, if you don't think about it. Well, there isn't anything that you have to. There's nothing to worry about. There's nothing to become. There's nothing to be. There's nothing you need. You just are present and aware as as that pure beingness. And that's that that's that's what you are. And then you then you can just see that everything that's super imposed upon that is basically a thought induced. Some sort of thought induced.

What would you say? You could say like the mind is like a giant. I don't know what you'd call it. The mind is just a giant field of of of every single potential. Appearance of of of of life is available in the thoughts. Fear. You know, you can go online. You can go online and you can and see the internet is is a very good way of seeing it. You know, you go online and you just see people. It makes me kind of laugh how how people get so pissed off off a post. You know, they just have to vent their spleen. You know, like they have to they have to come up with the most vile, just nasty comment.

You know, like they have to just say. You know, you think, why is this guy getting worked up about? It's a friggin internet post. That's, you know, tomorrow. It's gone in five minutes. The way the internet works like a Facebook post. That's here one minute. It's gone the next. And people are working themselves up into a ladder. Their blood pressure is going up. You know, their heart rate's going through the roof. And there's absolutely no reason for it. You know, and so the whole thing is just one big joke. You know, you just you see it as one big. Appearance, the appearance of the world.

Like Jesus said, you wear the world like a light garment. You just can't take it seriously. Like what's his name said a minute ago about all the wars and the strife and the trouble. And people ask me about it. And I can't give a fuck about it. I just don't care. I just don't care. None shall come. Thy dwelling place is the biblical saying. Ten thousand can fall on your left and one thousand can fall on the right. None shall come. My dwelling place. You walk through the world and you don't give a shit about what's going on because, you know, ultimately, it's just a transient thing.

It's it's just an appearance. And there's nothing you can do to alter, modify or correct it because you didn't start it. You didn't create it. So you do. You can't change it. The only choice you have is to leave it as it is. If you're meant to change it, if you're meant to do anything, you'll leap in and do it anyway. And you won't be able to stop yourself from doing that anyway. So just be in your natural state and just see everything for what it is and be. Be that state that that what's the saying? What's wrong with white now? If you don't think about it.

And I. And the only answer you can come up with is nothing. No thing. That's all you can ever say. And just be that. And just be. Be content with being that. See, the mind is not content with that. The mind wants to be entertained. The mind wants to be. Wants to be something wants to become something. Wants you to be something. It's not content with that. It's not content with what you are. It wants to, you know, just to be and live a normal, peaceful life. No, the mind doesn't want that. The mind always wants to become, to be something at some future time, and that creates the paradigm of time and space.

You're caught up in that, and it will go on forever. And the whole thing is just an illusion anyway. So just see it as an illusion and be free from it. That's all I can say. That's beautifully put. See it all as a dream and be done with it. Love all of it or none of it. Yeah. Anne says, it reminds me of a comedian that joked about, the fear mongering on the news. And then you go outside and there's crickets and birds chirping. Seems okay right now. And always a pleasure hearing you, Andrew. Yeah. As well, and from us. Yeah, it is. And there's another comment on Facebook.

On Facebook Live. Another, Andrew. If we are not going to be here in 100 years and we are all going to die, it seems that the mind and most religious and spiritual beliefs are preoccupied with what happens. After death and all the stories around it, which bring you away again from the now. Yep. Well put. Yes. And there's one more comment. And continuing from Andrew, when there is no thought as we need to be constantly focused on things and doing things, the mind has to use thoughts to take action. If there's no thoughts, then I can't pick up the cup and have water, et cetera.

Oh, really? I can tell you. That my cat can totally drink from the bowl or the cup, even without the thought. Try it. Maybe, maybe you will be surprised to find out that without the thought you can totally drink anything. You can totally do absolutely everything. You may even find out the thought happens post-factum. You may even go and research if you, if you trust science, the Benjamin Liebet experiment in London, which is, uh, in which he actually has proven beyond the doubts and it has been repeated in, in thousand other situations and, and, and students and universities that the blood flow in the body making you reach out for the cup happened before you had the thought the whole biological machine was ready to do it.

And mind only needed few seconds to catch up. With that biology and translate that impulse into a thought. I need to pick up the cup. So perhaps the narrative, uh, is like a commentary. When you watch the football play, the boys are kicking the ball, they getting a goal. So they're getting a miss and the commentator is watching them doing it and then commenting. Oh, look, this guy is not getting it right. Or whatever post-factum. That's what the thought is, uh, in, in that narrative, like thought of taking up the cup. You can see, of course, you know, there is also a creative imagination. You have the science fiction writers noting their own dreams of visions.

And yet, even then the words appear post-factum, they are a translation. So the thoughts are absolutely wonderful, wonderful evolutionary, um, uh, adjustment, advantage. See at us, look at us people through the thinking, through the storytelling, we gather in groups far, far greater than any other park animals. So we can achieve far, far, far greater destruction of environment and converting it to our own likes and needs than any other. So it is an another evolutionary instinct, but it doesn't mean that you require things. So it's not just thinking, uh, but of course, don't believe me. Verify it for yourself. Check it for yourself. And you can see it like while you were driving a car, you know, you don't need the thought to say, I need to turn the steering wheel this way or that way.

The steering just happens. But like even, even, um, even, you know, picking, picking up a, even a cup or whatever, whatever it is, there's an impulse. And, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and if you, if you watch carefully, like the thought, the thought my mic claim, anything it wants, but like it, it just happens. It just appears as part of the same appearance and the thought appears in that same appearance of everything. The nothing appearing is everything, the emptiness appearing as form. The silence appearing as sound, the absolute stillness appearing as movement. Yeah, go for it, Andrew, I was also going to talk about that driving the car.

Like you just drive the car and your awareness would, that's why we get caught by speed cameras and the government know it because your awareness drops out. Your awareness, you go on autopilot and the body's just doing everything as it is and you go over the speed limit and you don't even know. You don't even know it. And I always tell the story of I was down in St Kilda one night and I was at the crossing there of Ackland Street and Fitzroy Street and I went to cross the road and I stepped out onto the road and then I stepped back. I just stepped out and stepped back.

And as I stepped back, this car sped. I went through like the red light doing, you know, 80 Ks. I would have been killed. And see, I had no awareness. I just stepped out and stepped back. And there was no thinking. See, thinking is too slow. Thinking is way, way too slow for life. If you are driving a car, for example, and you're driving a car, for example, and you're driving a car, for example, and you, someone pulls out, someone walks out on the road in front of you, right, you don't think, oh, there's somebody walking out in front of me. I've got to hit the brakes.

I've got to put my foot on the brake. It's too slow. You'd have hit them and be 50 metres down the road. You intuitively, your natural intelligence intuits what's going on. You naturally put your foot on the brake. And you don't even think about it. And that's, see, if you look at your life, that is going, see, you've got to, to be a really intelligent person, you've got to bring your awareness to the stage where you start to notice that intelligence and listen to it and be aware of it. Because it's, that intelligence is prior to the intellect and thinking process. And that intelligence knows everything and knows what to do.

And so we talk about your intuition. See, you have to trust your intuition. I remember when I was doing Vedic astrology, I can't remember how many times my intuition, told me, no, this is it, this is the answer to the problem I'm looking at, and then my intellect would kick in and talk me out of it. It would say, oh, well, you haven't looked at this and you haven't looked at that. The natural intelligence that's there that comes up automatically straight away, see, we have to learn to trust that. See, we don't trust that. We second-guess that and say, oh, well, geez, maybe not. Maybe it's not right.

Maybe it's not true. But you'll often find, and you'll find it most of the time, the first intuitive thing that comes up was the right thing, was the right thing, and you ignored it and the intellect kicked in and talked you out of it. Thanks, Andrew. And just wrapping it up, Ant says, like in being creative, it's out of the mind's depth. Yeah, exactly. And Andrew from Facebook Live also says, thank you, that helps. I will trust in this more. Come from the heart, it's true. Yeah, and thank you for your question, Andrew. They always kind of direct, you know, you are voicing a question that many people may not have the chance to voice, and it's always good to look deeper and to just, yeah, contribute.

And thank you, everyone who contributed. Thank you. And thank you for hanging out with us and exploring and lots of love. And we're going to be here in a couple of days. Thank you.
