I loved coming to see Bob and I'll always treasure my memories of going to those meetings and as a young curious fella listening to someone who seemed really wise and had a lovely Warm, friendly smile that had a confidence behind it that everything was all right and very kind eyes. My favorite thing about Bob, one of my favorite things I should say, but I think the thing that to me made, was most impressive to me or made the deepest impression I am a non-duality speaker. I am the one who is free to be whatever I wanted or needed to be in that moment. And then he would respond in such a way that it was clear that he was listening with more than just his ears, but he was listening with his entire being.
And I know that sounds strange, but I'm sure that other people here have experienced that. That he was listening completely in that moment. He was completely present for a person. And that's something that I aspire to be like and I try to be like. That was probably one of the best gifts he gives, his ability to just be there for someone. Just be there with them, be there for them. And almost in a superhuman way. But that he could do it to me was an inspiration. There's something deep and present here, and if it's in him, it's in me, because we're all the same. We're all the same essence.
So, that's one of the things that I took away most from our conversations, and one of the things that I valued the most about my time with Bob. Who the fuck do we think we are? Do we have a right? Do even say one thing for this beautiful, incredible, tremendous appearance of a man that has come into our lives. And for me I got to spend a very powerful two and a half years speaking with Bob, listening to his teaching and just appreciating all aspects of the Creator Himself in form. And yeah, so I'm forever beholden to thee, my dearest Bob. Hello, my name's David Gilbank.
I'm in the UK and the news that Sailor Bob had passed was shocking for me. I never met him personally but I had interviewed him on my podcast and spoke to him occasionally. He did share for me at my AA Zoom meeting which I was very grateful for and he was such a kind and gentle man and his story was very inspirational. He touched so many people in so many different ways and a tribute to him. The fact that he sat with Nisargadatta was always a big thing for me and I think we're all, I feel very much I'm a much better person for knowing him and I'm just very grateful that he was in my life at some shape, way or form.
So all the best to yourself Bob. Wish you all the best on your journey and Kat as well. My heart goes out to you. Thank you very much. What an incredible expression of that formless in the form of Bob. Beautiful manifestation. His form will be for sure really missed but where would he go in a sense He there in every breath we take Love you Bob immense gratitude and love And he would say, I am not talking to any body or any mind, I am talking to that I am. I find so much resonance with that pointer. And how many beautiful offsprings, true seers he has produced.
Kat, Terry, Jamie, Julia, Tanya, I hope all of them will carry his legacy. Kat, love you sweetheart. You are the embodiment of love and compassion. Thank you so much. Love you Bob. Hello, my name is Reggie. I first met Bob in 1997 when I was a 17 year old young man, so it's been a while now. But he's had a profound influence on my life, as you can see, and this guy here. So I haven't been to a meeting since 2002, so none of you probably know me, but you do feel like, in a strange way, my family, or my spiritual family, you could say.
If I could finish on one thing, I would probably say, you know, where is Bob now? He is where he's always been and that's here and now, waiting for us to discover that eternal truth. And we can enjoy that forever. Thank you all. Love you. Bye. I have been searching for the truth, I think most of my life. That was until I met Sailor Bob online. I've only met him online. I met him a couple of years ago. And what he pointed to was that I already am what I've been searching like crazy for my whole life. And he probably didn't say something I hadn't heard before, but with this beautiful, simple, clear spiel, And just the way that he presented the truth and how he loved the truth and how generously he was giving it out to everybody who wanted to hear it.
That just landed in me in a whole different way and I'm so grateful for that. I'm so grateful for having met and found whatever Sailor Bob, That wonderful, beautiful, loving, clear jewel that he was. So, yes, thank you, Sailor Bob. Amazing Grace Amazing Grace How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now I'm found. Thank you Bob. You were the missing piece of my puzzle, it seems like. Because even though everything is the same, everything's so different. Thank you for being around for so long, that I got the chance to spend a whole year with you over the internet.
Thank you so much for devoting your life to helping others not needing any help anymore Your form may be changed but your essence for sure remains I love you Thanks for everything Just that, only that. Hi, if you're watching this video of me, chances are I'm not there, but I'm wishing I was. I'm really a little sad that I can't make it, but if that's that just seems to be what's showing up. I don't really know what what to say, except that I moved to Australia a few years ago for a variety of reasons. I don't know what else to say other than how grateful I am.
I feel sad when I think about what we've lost, but then I'm also, I go quickly to yell, that's a thought. He's here. I am, he is you, he is that, there is only that, and what's wrong with now if you don't think about it. So, having been around Bob and you guys and Kat is really probably one of the biggest blessings of my life, if not the biggest. I don't know how else to say thank you. And I love you and I hope we can continue. Tasmeen, you here? Thank you, Bob. Thank you so much. Your influence has powerfully affected my life and I know all humanity is going to continue to be influenced and transformed by your presence directly but also indirectly.
There's so many stories of people who Thank you for your time. My favorite thing about Bob was that he once said to me the best way I can help you is to put you beyond need for further help. And he gave me the greatest gift that anyone can ever give anybody else. When I was about 19 years old, 36 years ago, he asked me the question, what am I? Am I? And that led to everything else. And he gave it freely, he gave it warmly, he changed my life forever. And I will forever be grateful that Bob was there at the right time to give me that message and spread the love.
Just a few short words about Sailor Bob I wanted to include in the memorial service for him. I first met Bob about 20 years ago through John Wheeler. I had been communicating with John and he told me there's an upcoming visit from Seder Bob. He was coming to the States. And so I drove down from Seattle area down to Santa Cruz. And there was a couple of days there. He was at a bookstore and he gave a talk. The next day we all went out to lunch together and then he spoke again the next night. I had been a spiritual seeker for a long time and one thing that I'd always really wanted was contact with a genuine spiritual teacher where I could actually talk to the person.
Bob was that person for me. I just knew that I had to spend some time with him. And so I traveled to Melbourne the next year. I said I want to spend some time with this with this guy. And so I went the next year and then the following I went there the following year also. We just spent some time together on his couch. I came for about a week each time. Every day or every other day he would spend time with me. It was so meaningful to me and it such a rare thing that he an incredible gift I will be forever grateful for The other thing that I really you know just confirming my experience for me And the other thing I wanted to mention is how somehow there was a freedom in what he was giving me.
To be deeply in my own realization, not be a parrot of anyone. Just like Sailor Bob, he didn't speak like Nisargadatta or his guru. It's an original blossoming seeing. And so I'll be forever grateful to Bob for both of those things. Thank you, Bob. Forever. I'd like to say thank you to Bob. This is my video message, really. It's just thank you. It started from the Advaita shows with Cameron, which were just fantastic. Just Cameron and Bob together on those shows really opened me up to many ideas. And Bob's down to earthness was brilliant. I was that hooked me just to hear Bob. So just thank you.
That's my message to Bob. Thank you. Also the book with James Braha, I think it was called My Extraordinary Summer, was very beautiful and with a few friends here in the UK, we really enjoyed that book. So thank you for the life Bob. And to all Bob's friends, Kat, obviously, condolences. Thank you for this opportunity. All the best. Bye. A big thank you to Bob. He was one of the first people I came across after reaching out to people who contributed to Rhonda Byrne's book, The Greatest Secret. I'm going to read a little bit of the book. So that's all. So thank you so much from Wales in the UK.
Take care. I just wanted to say a few words about Sailor Bob as I only met him once and his love and warmth and genuine sense of interest was really palpable the day that I met him. And he signed this book of his for me. And I live along my way from Melbourne, so it's quite treasured to have his beautiful handwriting in a style that reminds me of grandparents that I've lost, people that were I am part of my lineage and really exemplify that aging part of the body, part of the body that, you know, well, let's go. And there is that lovely sense that what remains is, as he says, as he says, who is already that.
There is in me that beautiful piece of Bob that I'll just keep sitting with and I'm very grateful and sending a lot of love to the people who were really close to Bob because I only met him I am a member of the Nisargad Nisargad Nisargad Nisargad Nisargad I met him in person and sending love to him. My name is Javier from Argentina and I am here to say about Bob that I am feeling a profound gratitude to him and Kat. I remember that I met him through some emails and it was like he knew me before my birth. Thanks Bob for be a light in this path and I know that you are with all of us now more than any time. All my love. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Hi everyone, I am Vilma and I want to say a few words about my darling Bob. Bob came into my life when I was in a very very bad place. Bob and Kat both. I got to know about him through a Reddit post. I read his book. I went to his website. I read his spiel like so many times, maybe a million times. I started following his pointers and I won't say my life changed, but things started getting better. I don't know whether I still have sort of got nonduality but I do know that just by knowing Bob, Kat, attending their sanghas, maybe not in person, never in person, I unfortunately never had the privilege to meet him in person.
I don't have words. The only if I have to describe Bob in one word it is generous He is the kindest the most generous the most amazing wise person I know And I can't believe he's no longer in this world. Like obviously at a level he is still there of course, he's not dead, but I really can't believe that he is not even with us. physically, it's like he's still here and I literally don't have words to describe what he is, what he means to me and I somehow can't put it in the past tense. He means so much to me, he and Kat both.
I mean, you guys are so, so kind, so, so amazing, so, so generous and Thank you Bob, the world is so much better because you are in it. Thank you Bob, thank you for being, thank you for being here in the body-mind, coming into our lives, ensuring that our lives are never the same. I just, I love you so much, I really love you. Thank you for being you. I hope you continue rocking wherever you are. I love you. Hello, dear friends. Hello dear friends, I wish to share my love for Sailor Bob by the ocean. I first met Bob in 2001 in Melbourne. And I was blessed to have a deep experience of peace on leaving this meeting one night in the car.
And I returned to Australia for another 22 odd years, where I met, had an amazing day with Bob and Kat in their home and came for the Sunday meeting. And my heart is full of gratitude for Bob because he just endlessly pointed you back to the truth of who I am. He never tired of doing it and he had such incredible empathy and kindness and joy. When I came for that amazing day with Simon and we were dancing with Bob and Kat to country I am a musician, I am a musician of the Western music. And there was just great love, great heart and he helped so many, helped me so much and would be always available.
And I always felt that he had no other agenda other than just to keep saying, look, you're not the mind, you're not the suffering, come to your heart, come to who you are and join me there. So I join you there today, Bob, by the sea. You are the ocean, not the waves. And I send my deepest love and profound gratitude for having met you and shared with you over the years. God bless you and you are always with us as we continue to share your message. What's my favorite thing about Bob? It his simplicity and his precision When I first met him I felt almost instantly secure and at ease When I first spoke about him to my daughter, when she asked me who was Bob, I said to her, He is the guy who remembered me that I am life.
And she asked me, oh you forgot? And I said to her, yes, somehow in my life I one day forgot this. And Bob recalled me this. Recalled me this simple recognition. But yet very profound and very precious. So yeah Bob, that's it. I think I'm not the only one who will say that, but I feel I can... I can feel you very close. So yeah, I'm glad I met you. One feature I enjoy about having an iPhone is that it helps keep my memories organized. Today, it brought up memories and reminders of how extraordinarily lucky I have been not only to be friends with the most remarkable and beautiful expression of life it has ever been my pleasure to know, but just to even know him.
I met Sailor Bob Adamson in 2017, but a big part of why I moved to Australia in 2021 was to spend as much time with him as I could while I could. Seeing as though Bob served as a pointer towards nonduality, it seems difficult to write about my memory of him without mentioning that the reality is here. Last week, Bob's body took its last breath. That said, he didn't die. Because Bob and everyone else was never born. He made it crystal clear that I, he, and everything else is life. There is only life, and there is nobody who lives a life. The truth of what we are is that which never changes.
The body, memories, personality, thoughts, and stories will all change and die. Seeing the changeful as unreal and letting go of attachments to these left us where we never left. Right here and right now as pure being. That said, the way life expressed through the story of Bob was absolutely spectacular. Most of the people who encountered Bob had met many other teachers before him. Bob often said, I can't teach you anything. I can't tell you anything. All I can do is point and ask you to look to where I'm pointing. He was pointing at the same I am that I am, that you are, that Jesus was referring to, that everything is.
The I am that he pointed towards was prior to and contains all words yet means no words to be. Julia too had seen quite a few teachers prior to Bob. The clarity which is so clearly demonstrated by so many of Bob's quote-unquote students is what made him so remarkable. That and I love that he walked his talk. Almost every teacher of nonduality stands alone on the stage with adoring fans. Bob also had adoring fans, but the community who gathered around Bob knew that there is nobody who is superior or inferior, And that there is no teacher and no student and this is clearly demonstrated by the fact that so many of Bob's quote-unquote students point almost as beautifully and simply as Bob did.
As much as I love the community around Bob, this mind will probably always have a preference for Bob, but who cares. I think of him a lot It seems suitable that I got to know Bob for a little while Thank you to Kat for sharing him and keeping him happy and healthy as long as you did. And thank you to the community who made me feel welcome from the moment I met you. I love you all. Thank you. Kat Mather, Hey Bob, the things that I loved about you were or are that you have been just Such a solid presence in my life for the last 28, 29 years that I've known you and just to have you there, always there, present in my life has just been so beautiful, so reassuring.
And yeah, and some of the other things, well, you know, you taught me to live in the moment, which is such a gift. It's, yeah, it is such a gift. And that my thoughts aren't real, which was just a radical concept and so helpful to my peace of mind. Well, it's all been so helpful to my peace of mind. You have been so helpful to my peace of mind. And just that I don't have to understand what you're talking about, I still don't. That to stop trying to understand it, it was, that's just such a great thing. And oh, and that life loves life. I love that.
Life does life life. And you know, I, yeah. I don't know where you are, but I think that presence is still here with all of us. Your presence. Anyway, love you so much and yeah, thank you, Bob. Thank you so much, Bob, for clearing all my doubts away. As I always say, you are like Buddha to me. Your presence and your words took all my suffering away. I am much happier, kinder person now. Thanks to you. I just want to say thanks so so much and I wish lot more people were able to come to you while you were here. I am sure that CAT will keep spreading your message and a lot of other people will get the relief from the suffering.
Thanks so much again Bob. Thank you. I was blessed to have known Bob for more than 20 years. When I first met Bob there was no Facebook, there was no smartphones, no Zoom calls, none of that. So you had to get in the car and actually drive up to see him. And you were always greeted with a big hug or a knuckle-crunching handshake where he nearly broke all your fingers. But he always welcomed you with an open heart. He wasn't interested in your past or what you'd done before. He didn't care about that. All he was interested in was setting you free. And he was just a wonderful man and he'll be missed very, very much.
Thank you everyone wholeheartedly for loving him with me. Not that any of us had any choice in the matter, but it is really appreciated. Thank you for all the beauty and all the warmth and love. As he would say, and he lives in my heart, Love you all. Thank you.
