Good morning everyone, we have Simone with us, Mark, Marty, Tanya, Bob and one of the persons. As usual we would like to invite someone, preferably to give us a spiel, give us an introduction. Anyone feels strong, curious of what's gonna come up, you can share the spiel also, you can do 10 minutes each. www.nisargad.com.au I'm grateful to be here. Thank you. I'll do a long spiel. No, I can talk a lot, but it's wonderful being here back in Melbourne for the seventh time, the sixth time here, and one of the great pleasures is coming and seeing Bob, not only to see him in form, but to also hear his golden nuggets, as I call There are so many people that I've told about what's wrong with right now and full stop and keeping it simple because if you get into this blah blah blah mind you're going to find yourself caught in story time.

And the key to all this is to just travel in a way that's just more free and joyous and just follow a lot of stuff that Bob is talking about. And there's a lot of love always in this room and I just am so grateful to be here. Wonderful. Well, I don't really have really anything to say to be honest. I don't know, well first of all thanks for having this. Yeah, you know, I really, I don't know, I guess I get the mic and it's like you get to share but I don't really have anything to share with anyone. I think that's probably the most special thing about this whole thing is that no one's giving anyone anything because you start from the fact that you're already that and there's nothing that needs to be given or gotten.

There's no one here that can tell you that that's the case either. I'm a member of the National Association of Indigenous Peoples of the United States. Once that's investigated and seen that life is, for lack of better words, happening, then there's no longer anyone that has to get in the way and try and control what happens. And really in short what that seemingly gives to someone is joy and happiness and peace, all of those things, those things that the me wants. But really the me doesn't get any of those things, it just already is the case. And you know it's so simple like Mark said it's very simple and you know we can talk about it and talk about it and talk about it but really we're not giving anything.

We're just saying you know there's nothing that we're giving here. You are already that. I don't believe me when I say that either because I actually don't know if you're that. So there's nothing understood but there's something that's known and that's all that needs to be known is that. But, yeah, I wouldn't take my word for that. Tanya, do you want to go? Thank you, thank you everyone. That's beautiful. I love that little twist that, no, don't believe that, I don't know that you are that. I don't know. Check it for yourself. Very fine. I don't know what I did, but I don't know anything.

Beautiful. And that's actually the freedom, that's the true freedom, when there is no need to have anything worked out, when there is no need to know anything Freedom from any concepts any ideas any need to figure anything out Anything for any freedom also from wanting what is not Freedom from resisting Thank you so much The machine that is programmed through different algorithms showing up throughout life and conditioned through the responses to the environment, those programs run by itself. You don't know your next response, you don't know what the next situation, next thought, the next feeling. And when you realize that life runs by itself, you are being lived, you are just the presence, the pure, free, already free conscious awareness of field of knowing, of witnessing presence that is somehow cognizing whatever is unfolding and is also already fully aware of its own existence.

You know you exist, you know that you are. That is undeniable. And now in that field, there may be anxiety arising. Oh, I want to be safe. I want everyone to love me and like me and I want to have security, the money, the prestige, whatever it is. And you can see how those desires, seeming desires, are part of the algorithm. They are part of the survival instinct. They arise in every single body. In human body, they are translated into concepts. In the animal bodies they are translated into direct action without the concept. You know, if the animal is hungry, it's going to go hunting.

If the time is to procreate, it will find a mate. Those algorithms run the same way, but humans have one more piece of software installed and this is the commentary. So whatever the urges of the body are, are then translated into the language, into the The inner narrative or monologue that is commenting. And somewhere along the way, by imitating people around, the identification with that voice happened innocently, absolutely innocently. There is an idea that, oh, this is I, they are my thoughts, they are my worries, my feelings, my anxieties. And that idea is to be investigated, is to be looked through. See if you really think your thoughts.

See if you can start thinking better thoughts maybe, and you will see that you can't. For a moment if there isn't a strong inspiration to be a positive thinker, where that inspiration come from? It also got come somehow from outside, so from the environment. So, see if you can stop thinking altogether. If there is really anything, if there is anything that alleged you can actually do. There is definitely an illusion of doing, there is an illusion of control. That's what this brilliant, magnificent show is all about. It's life experiencing and expressing as a seeming form. And somehow along the way believing to be a form and that's amazing, that's marvelous, but it can be easily seen through.

Seeing through is really easy because as Simon and Mark and everyone said, you know, what's wrong right now if you don't think about it? Who are you if you don't think about it? What is happening if you don't think about it? And you see the world is just the same as it is for that beautiful cat. Nothing is happening, it's just a spontaneous unfolding in the field of seeing, hearing, tasting, touching, smelling. No definition, no meaning-making, no interpretation, just a life ever fresh, every moment, full of itself, full of life, ever changing. Just the content is ever changing, but the presence in which that change happens, That presence is what you are.

You always take it with you wherever you go. The seeing, the hearing, the tasting, the touching, the smelling is a translation of that pure presence into those capacities that the human body has. The pure presence or life essence is what you are. Through the human body it translates into those capacities. Through the body of a cat, the capacity of conceptualization isn't there. Through the body of whatever, the bat or a lizard, there will be different capacities expressed. But that life which transformed through that brilliant transformer is what you are. And now that life put through that instrument expresses as those different shades or capacities. And you can see that even capacity is there, like Bob often shows in a spiel, you know, the capacity for seeing.

That one doesn't change. The content changes all the time. Capacity goes where the body goes because it is a direct translation of the power of existence or the is or the being through that brilliant bio So you take the computer elsewhere and the camera goes with it and the viewpoint or the perspective will still be available through that computer, that bio-computer. But you are not that, because when you close your eyes you don't disappear, there is existence still there. And even if those capacities are all switched off for some time, when you are in a deep sleep or under some influence of anesthesia or other drugs or whatever, those capacities are switched off, but the life is still beating the heart of the body.

There is no consciousness per se of I Am, there is no sense of remembering that there is an existence, there is no illusion of control going on, but the life is still pouring through. And that life has only capacity to be aware of its own existence through the means of consciousness. So the pure potentiality or that pure presence-awareness transformed through the body becomes consciousness. Consciousness channels through the seeing, hearing, tasting, touching, smelling. Seeing that everything happens without any need for any imagined entity who runs the show, life becomes very, very simple. It becomes just a curious unfolding, just the way you watch a movie that you've never seen before.

And you are completely detached, nothing is personal, you just experience the unfolding. The same way of living is available if you investigate and you find out that life runs by itself, that you are being lived. All the fears, anxieties, desires for more, desires for pleasure are inbuilt in the instrument. You tempt the cat with too much of a food and it will become overweight, I promise you, it happened before. So it runs by itself including fears, aversions, desires, all of it. It's not personal, it belongs to the machine, it belongs to the conditioning. And conditioning depends on everything else because this is one fabric, one reality, one nondual, singular field that expresses us, the forms.

You can experience it directly when you stop thinking. You can embrace it intuitively. You can see that you cannot separate without a thought the content of seeing from the capacity of seeing. It is just one seeing. And Bob says it beautifully again in the Spiel when he says it, can there be a seeing, anything that you see, if there is no capacity for seeing? Well, obviously not. Without the seeing, there is no objects that could be seen. So you can't separate the objects. Without the seeing, can there be a seer, the I that sees? Obviously not. If there is no capacity for seeing, you don't call it seer.

Simple as that. And then Bob, another line of investigation is, is the I doing the seeing? Is the I saying I see? And then you understand, you know, you again look at the computer, switch it off. What the camera can see when the power is off? So it isn't the I. I is just an instrument which conveys that capacity, utilizes that capacity, but it is not the seer. And the I, the idea of separate imagined self, which came on board only when there was enough of a language To even construct that idea. Seeing was there before, before the child had enough words to learn language.

So obviously the I, the imagined self, doesn't have a capacity for seeing. It doesn't have the capacity for thinking. It doesn't have any capacity whatsoever because it doesn't exist. And have a look and see if that fits, if that sounds right, If it doesn't, just verify, but with open mind, without already a preconceived notion to find it or not find it, because the mind works on the confirmation bias. If you believe in something, the evidence will show up. So this is not about changing a belief in a self to a belief in no self. It is about getting rid of all the beliefs altogether and see what is left when there are no concepts, when there are no beliefs.

This is that open awareness, open, free, unattached, unbound, uncontrived by any beliefs. Then this is the truth. When no belief is clouding it, the natural presence is all there is. And in that presence, without the thought, can you possibly separate anything or yourself from what's happening? You can Just see it for yourself Darling would you like to add something Or are you just enjoying listening What needs to be added? If that is all there is? Anybody who is not that? Anybody who is not that, he says meow. Anyone who is not being. Anyone who is not being, yeah, good point. Or knowing. Or knowing that they are.

And loving to be. Full stop. Full stop. You can say it to the camera, my darling. Hi camera. Beautiful. That's it for the online contribution. So now I would expect the contributions. Anything came up, Tanya? Amoeba. Amoeba? Amoeba. I was watching Bob play with Pesto's tail and thinking, oh, just stimulus response, stimulus response. And are we much different in our functioning? Floating around in a petri dish. Me, me, me, me, me, here I am. Little pointy stick comes and pokes your apparent outer boundary and you respond, poof. Or you don't, like a cat might not respond much first time you pull its tail. Second time, maybe not.

Third time it's gonna learn. It's stay out of reach. But it's not gonna carry any psychological suffering with it about what happened. So let us all be cats or amoebas. Amoebas. Amoebas. Floating around in petri dishes. Next. Yeah, great example. I didn't have anything to say, so it's just... Yeah, it's just what happens. I am a It just sort of comes up and the story is believed in but you know where does that story where's that story come from or even more simply you know are you a story what's the response when that question is asked it's no I'm not a story okay cool so So, then what are you?

And there's no answer. It's just left with silence. And then this voice comes in and is trying to explain, give an answer to that answer, even though the answer is not in words. And you know it's really simple when that question is asked, the answer is there. Who am I? If I'm not the story, if I'm not this thought, have you fallen apart? I haven't fallen apart. There's still this presence, you know, we give a name to it, but it's not the name that we're talking about. We're not saying the name is what it is. The name is not what it is. We're just trying to explain, well, there is explaining happening, and that's fine.

That's what's happening. There's no one doing any of that. Sometimes the stories can get carried away and there can be this apparent belief and even that apparent belief is just happening. The investigation that is being asked to be had is happening. You can't choose to investigate this because if you could choose, there would be someone that could choose to investigate it. I Am That, Ramana Maharshi, I Nisargad tata, presence-awareness, Maha Maha,

There's nothing I can give you. There's no I here, but I don't know that. And so what is it that you're looking for? Well, you're not looking for anything. It's just happening. Because you already have what it is that we're apparently talking about.

Everyone has what it is. There's no every one. There's only one. And so that just has to be seen and you know you it's always seen but if you try and see it that is happening and that's fine but yeah there's really just nothing you can do. You can't do anything. You can't investigate it. You can't get the magical pointer that gives you the final answer. You can't sit in silence. You can't relax into it. You can't do any of those things. They just happen. And if it happens, that's great. It's an experience. We've probably all had experiences, so-called spiritual experiences, silence for long periods of time.

What happens, they eventually change, you know, fade or whatever you want to call it. And so that happened, now this happens, and there's talking happening, and if there's someone here that so-called doesn't want to be talking, they want to be in this quiet, you know, spiritual space, in this spiritual experience, well, I'm sorry, that person can't make that happen, Because it's either going to happen or it's not happening, but it is happening. But I don't know that. So, yeah. I think everybody out there who's watching this, just write down some of what I call golden nuggets in your life that are simple, simple things. Everything is correct, just what's apparently I am a Sedona Method coach and Hale Dwoskin and Lester Levinson have had golden nuggets for me.

But one thing that always resonated and simple, there is peace, love, joy, and happiness in each moment, really for no one. But the and the veiling of it is the only thing that basically blocks that out. The veil is the conditioned programming that Kat was just talking about that in quote life experiences gets in the way. And also in talking about stories, Marty, when you end your story, you're basically back, this form is back to living a life and having the joy and peace and love. I guess it goes back to keep it simple, write down five or six of your favorite golden nuggets that resonate with you and just be aware.

Awareness is a key too to everything. If you're caught in a story and there's an awareness that you're suffering from a story, you can end that. And again, you know, I know nothing too, just like Socrates. So I align myself with Socrates who said he was the wisest man because he knew nothing. So... Yes, wow. Well, this experience has been very energetic, not so much verbal. So it's a bit of a surprise to even be here today. But one of the knowings I experienced was who am I not to be anything that me doesn't want to be. So that was a bit of a relaxation of the me.

The me still likes to crop up quite a bit. Once you've seen, as Bob says, you can't really believe it for a long time. Again, it might catch you for a little while, but then you go, okay, let's just let go of that. It's just continually, for me, it's continual, oh, is that happening? Oh, and yeah, just relaxing. Also, no self, no problem. Golden Nugget is a well-known resort in Las Vegas. You been there? Yeah, yeah. And Aussies love to go there with their families when they travel to Las Vegas And in the middle of this resort there a big pool and there this shark tank which gives the illusion that you swimming when you in the pool with the sharks and with all the corals and the fish and everything and the kids love it But it's a wonderful experience but it's just an illusion.

It's so easy, fun, because it's fun to get caught up in the experience and that's fine while it's happening, but like Marty said, is there a beginning, is there an end? Well then, that's not it. That's not it. And again, you know, who can do anything about anything that's just happening and that's why they have the word grace. Because that's all you can really say about it. And, Isaac, yes darling? Oh, the ram, when he heard all, he jumped over the cliff. He heard the Beatles singing a song, There'll Never Be Another You. And we have the whole box of golden nuggets in here. And yes, you can just pick any golden nuggets.

We have, oh my goodness, 88 of those. Can we read one? Linesage terms are available at the end of the event. No one to be, nowhere to go, you are already that, the emptiness itself, the no-thing-ness. Mine is related to relax into that. And it's intelligence energy means an activity of knowing. Cognizing emptiness is space with the capacity to know and cognize. It is equals I am that presensory and personal basic screen, presence-awareness. That intelligence functioning now is the razor's edge. Presense means prior to senses. It is ever fresh, just this, there is nothing else. Gold. Gold. Yeah, Tanya, would you like one? So many fell in the lap that, but two really resonate.

And this one is great. So this one, just like the eye can never see itself, you can never grasp it or understand it with the mind. So trying is futile. But this one, that was resonate. Can I do another one? The conceptual image is based on a believed past. You put energy of belief into it. The me is the past. It is dead. No freshness and no newness in it. Without it, you simply are. Who or what you are is an unknowable mystery. Oh, beautiful. Yeah. Magic. Beautiful. You don't ever need to figure it out and find the answer in the mind. What's yours my darling?

What? You wanna read it? I forgot my card. Golden Nuggets from Sailor Bob. There is no need to practice effort or future time for you to become what you are already. Being is not becoming. You are being. Being is not becoming. You are being. You are here. Yeah, yeah, beautiful. Yeah, it just touched on so many things, you know, those few cards, just a few cards, really touched on so many beautiful aspects. And this is really what we love about that investigation, that there's just so many ways of, you know, put it back in the box, so many ways of just pointing back to the truth, which is non-conceptual, pointing beyond concepts.

And I love when Marty was saying, yes, you cannot figure it out, you cannot guess it. Tania was also saying, no answer in the mind. And then investigation can still happen and it happens true as we have options on the card. Relax, back out of the thinking, right into the space. Reflect, you can reflect on the pointers if you are inspired to do so. Resonate resonation can bring about the inspiration and recognize recognition There is nothing new If there is anything that you haven known already even prior to getting out of the womb don't bother with it, it doesn't matter. If it is something that you gained from some teacher or learned from some philosophical system, you're going to forget it.

So that's not the truth. Whatever has the beginning and the end, whatever can be remembered and forgotten, is just a passing phenomena. Again, like the guys were saying before, you know, no matter how gorgeous experience, swimming with the sharks, or watching an exquisite thriller, or going and jumping off the airplane, beginning and end. Being a human, beginning and end. Being a school teacher, beginning and end. That's not it. None of it. No identity, no experience, no passing phenomena is the ultimate truth. Ultimate Truth is the fact of the being. And that one doesn't have the beginning. You may say, well, but you know, I remember being born.

Nope, you remember it now. This is only now, right now, right at this moment. Whatever the past memories or whatever the concepts about what happened before are there available in the imagination, so-called memory, part of the imagination, is still happening now. Now is ever-present, ever-fresh. Now you are. Now you can't deny that you are. Past and future, what happened, what will happen, that doesn't matter. And yet we still love that aspect of pointing at that intelligence, which is still kind of, I think, Michael was always stressing how much you can do with a plain logic in pointing. It can be diffuted very easily, but it can also work as a great pointer.

You look how the body was grown from the fetus, but grown from the food that the parents ate and create that reproductive cell in the body and those cells joined together. You can see over time how those capacities, how the personality and how everything got programmed, how those different algorithms started running and responding to the environment, stimulus response, even though there is no time. And still we can use the pointers of a logic which doesn't even have any validity, but it can inspire appreciation of particular aspect of that unknowable mystery. And that's what we delight in here, just looking at that unknowable mystery, grasping the ungraspable, delighting.

This is like a poetry, you express something that is beyond expression, but you translate to words what is intuitively known in your heart. That's really what it is all about. And relaxing out of any obscuring ideas, I think Mark you were saying, whatever stands in the way, veiling it, the obscuring ideas that this is not it. I will get it in the future. There is no I, there is no future, and there is nothing to get. But on that note, I was actually remembering there was a documentary made about Bob, it was nearly started nearly two years ago, and it's been, I think it's still being edited.

And I think part which I found the most attractive of that documentary was edited out, And it was the beginning of what you were saying, Marty, when you were saying how you met Bob. That was so brilliant, that was so fresh and so authentic. When you were saying that, you know, you came and you saw this guy and he wasn't, you know, he looked like an ordinary guy. He didn't even meditate and he ate meat. Can you come back to that? This is so refreshing. Well, yeah, I guess I'd... Well, the funniest thing was actually how I came across Bob, which was... And this is kind of, you know, this shows you that there's no one here that has any sort of control over what's happening.

I was just going on Reddit, you know, and this is the most unspiritual sounding story. I was on Reddit and I was... Yeah, it doesn't discriminate. So I was on Reddit scrolling down and I was just in a bit of a haze, just sort of, you know, at least apparently I thought I was. I thought I was in a haze. Just scrolling down and all of a sudden, you know, I hit the bottom of this long post. I don't even know what it was about. I don't even know why I was on Reddit. Anyway, rolling down, hit the bottom, and then I just decide to sort of start focusing.

And as I focus, it's just this one comment that says, John Wheeler's great. And then I just was like, oh, okay. So I searched up John Wheeler, started watching his videos. And then that was sort of the first time that I was doing a lot of yoga. Before this, a lot of yoga, to the point it was stretching my ties with my family. I was more invested and was very open about telling everyone that this was more important than all of them. Basically, there's a lot of investment into it. Yoga was at the point where it was actually starting to ruin my life because I was doing it for so long every day.

My wife now was considering what to do about it and I wanted to go to India and just live there as some of these ideas that were coming up I don't know what I was going to do there. Anyway, so John Wheeler comes along and he presents this message and I was like, oh, he's actually saying something here and things were starting to click. Then I found out that he had a teacher and his name was Bob. And I was like, oh, there's no way that this guy's alive. And so I just searched up Bob, Sailor Bob, and then there was a website and I was like, oh gosh.

I clicked on it and then started reading through it and realized that he was still alive and he was in his 90s. And then you could just have a Zoom call then just send him an email and have a Zoom. I was like, this just sounds all so random. I listened to a lot of Nisargadatta before that and I sort of listened to everyone and I heard that he visited Nisargadatta and so I sort of held Bob up to quite high esteem in the spiritual world I was living in. I was in the room with my wife and I was like, wow, this is happening so quickly.

Anyway, I got home after work and we had this Zoom call and I called through and there's just Bob on the other side and I was just sitting there and he's not saying anything. I was very comfortable with the way I was speaking. I explained to Bob how I got to this point. And he just asked me, you know, what is it that this body is contained in? And I started thinking, and I was like, oh, I guess it's energy. And he's like, yeah, energy, you know, where's that energy contained in? He's like, oh, space. And I was like, yeah, space. I am a member of the National Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

I am a member of the National Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I'm a space was this divine space was just here and I sort of fell into sort of this nothingness and all of a sudden Bob still talking and he's doing his spiel and and and everything's I was just making sense and it felt like I could have died, you know. It really felt like I was just in eternity and I was there and I just knew so clearly. It was like, it was just eternal space, this infinite space that has been here all along. And all I could see were these patterns sort of moving and forming and saying and speaking and doing these things, but I wasn't any one of those things.

I am a member of the National Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I am a member of the National Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I was like, whatever happens really. It's always been that case. It's always been this way. I was like, oh yeah, there's no way I could ever lose this. Then I started getting worried about losing it. And I was like, oh shit, what happens if I lose this? And he'd just keep coming back to the basics. Are you the space? Are you this? I said, yes, yes. Okay, so it's still here. So then my mind was content at the time and then I just started realizing all these things I'd done for yoga.

I was a vegetarian and I woke up at 3 every morning to do yoga and I wasn't allowed to eat certain foods. And there were all these sort of barriers that I put on myself and then I sort of asked about it. So what about these things like, you know, can I eat meat? And he's, yeah, I mean, is it going to change the fact that you're that? And I was like, no, it's not. Okay, so and all of these barriers that were put up just started unraveling themselves and I just started to see that I didn't need any of those things to be that, that I was already that.

There was nothing I had to do to get it and you know that's why I'm eternally grateful for for this because you know I thought I had to work for it that's what we're taught growing up you know you're gonna work you know you have to work to get something exactly you know I Am That, Ramana Maharshi, I Nisargad tathagata, presence-awareness, Mahavakya. But Bob had, like he said, once you see it, you never quite lose it. And the mind had, I had reminded, I had the memory, this memory had reminded itself that no matter what sort of happens, that I was still that, even though I thought I wasn't experiencing that.

And so then I decided to come over here and try and clear things up and now you know I know that I didn't do any of that and that there was nothing ever that I had to change or do and yeah that's basically basically yeah and I'm not trying to find well sometimes there might be an amazing spiritual experience that happens but there's no one here that enables that or has it or www.nishadam.nl.gov.au Nothing changes. It changes, but anyway. Beautiful. I remember that part which was really refreshing, made me laugh my ass out, when you were saying, yeah, this guy doesn't do any yoga. What can he teach me?

Oh, he is eating meat? I mean, come on, can he possibly be a real deal? But those thoughts weren't really strong enough to switch off that part of that heart that was ready and ripe and open for the resonation. So you still persisted, you stayed in the meetings and... So can you say something about that? That was so, so good. Yeah, I mean I guess I judge, you know, there's a judging, the mind judges, and I thought I had an idea of what someone who was enlightened would look like in doom I was just really confused and I just couldn't fathom how Bob knew anything and he doesn't know anything actually.

I guess I just, there was a listening that happened and I was, I'm grateful that I was freed from all of those stupid things because they are so not necessary. I mean if it happens that's completely fine but I mean really it's just another belief in a spiritual self that is just the same as believing in being in an ordinary person or being whatever else it's the same thing but except it's probably you know arguably worse being a believed in spiritual person I've met a lot of them. I met a lot of them and they're like, oh, what do you practice? You know, oh where you gonna find out the lineage of that of that the lineage isn't right, you know then you're gonna be careful and sort of You know, we got to work really hard.

You get a chance for you know, eight hours a day and You know, I really believe that Yeah, well actually what happened is, you know to some extent it helped seemingly helped and then eventually it just stopped and and nothing I was I would put more and more hours in and get nothing yeah exactly nothing nothing else happened so that's at that point I was open to maybe just getting the bloody answer like like why am I doing this this is I'm doing it I want something that I don't know what I want and yeah luckily it was just it came it I was just thinking about the fact that it happened It was happening It happened but then I realised it always been happening It just a thought that thinks that it not I don know Yeah Again the expectations are such a trap in a way It not really happening But the seeker characteristic, the dream of becoming, that's not it.

No. Because you start from you are that. Start from you are that. Nothing to gain. Nothing to become. Nowhere to go. But if the dream character does, that's all fine and it will get you as far as it can and then it will start to drop away. And you'll realize that actually the greatest freedom of all is just not having any of those sticky concepts, requirements, duties to do to be a vegetarian or a vegan or whatever. And what came up too when you were speaking, Marty, about your experience was that, like, oh, it's kind of all okay, you know. There's an absence of what we label, interpret, the mind does, as fear.

What is there to fear then? What is there to worry about? If you're in the pool, seemingly with the sharks, but actually the whole time you were never in any danger. There was never any threat to the real you. Yeah, that moment's quite a... I feel like almost every seeming, probably, person, spiritual person that's looking for this has that moment. It's just like, oh, it's always been perfect. And then it's just you laugh because it's like, oh my god, I can't believe I thought any differently about it. And that's the awakening to the dream. So how many self-help books have you brought out there? How many seminars?

How many retreats? How many practices? It's a 14 plus billion dollar industry and yet it becomes more simple when you realize just what's apparently happening for no one. And it's really sort of fascinating to me. I mean, really, there's comedy in all this too. And there's humor. And really, there's even laughter yoga. I Tadlash, I Nishad, I Nishad, I Nishad, I Nishad, I Nishad. gone, gone, gone to the other shore and having arrived having never left and it's really all about what Marty's talking about and you know even you out there are talking about it's just what's apparently happening for no one. Beautiful. I am not at the moment.

I had something but it's gone. It will come again. It will come again. Okay, so I'll just... Oh, it won't. I'll quickly include our online community. Deborah says, funny Bob. And Julia says, you look and sound amazing, Bob. You can't breathe The need for last week. Last week is just memory and imagination. The apparent future is memory too. Both are less than hundred thousandth of a second from now. There is only this. And Ariel says, beautiful Marty, and first time I saw Bob it felt like he could have been an uncle. Bob's your uncle. Bob's uncle, such a normal Aussie bloke. I felt so at home and still do.

And ditto Ariel, we felt so at home with you coming. The other one, the rude one, Bob down and kiss my ass. Yes, especially when people try to kiss his feet. He doesn't like that division to superior, inferior or anything. It's the same life expressing as a messenger, the message, the messenger listener is all the same one life. And Julia also says, replying to Ariel, saying that Bob's your uncle. Me too. That said, I have a funny story about Uncle Bob. In Australia there is a popular expression when something is simple and done, it's Bob's your uncle. Oh yeah, sorry, Julie, I didn't know you wrote it later.

I sat around Bob once and he said no I am not I love Bob sense of humor Well that concept apparently comes from the political background and it wasn really a good thing to say you know if you have someone high in the government and that where you are Bob Wok And about the practices, you know, life from the perspective of individual, oh my god, what a trap, what a waste of time, but there is no perspective of individual because there is no individual. So if life takes particular body-mind to the situation when they, let's say, become marathon runners, what a wonderful training of stamina and determination.

Meditation practice I am the one who created the movement. He went through the Siddha Yoga and all Kundalini experiences. I went through a lot of different modalities as well, it's just life experiencing itself through all those different things. During that there is expectation, there is a narrative that this is gonna purify me forever being vegan or whatever, This is going to get me somewhere, this is going to polish the mind, this is going to train the mind, whatever. This narrative can completely be discarded. It is just what is happening. That's it, end of story. And then it is what is not happening anymore. That's it, end of story.

And it is amazing because all of this is utilized, you know, the practices that Bob went through, it has been utilized. He's been through alcoholism, having a beautiful focus training, month training, concentration training, determination training. Well, it just brought him where he is right now. Everything that is happening through life is just the way life is writing that particular scenario, or making that particular movie, and everything's in it. It's juicy, it's interesting, it's fascinating, but it doesn't mean anything, The I joined a little late but was so enjoying Marty's story and could relate to so many of the BS concepts and even ideas about Bob.

What? He eats meat? I'm actually starting to live life without giving a crap about right or wrong. So grateful for this Aussie guy Bob who has made living fully really simple. Simple. And then yes, you see what's happening. You may still not be attractive to meet, but not because you are right, not because you are superior, not because you are on a mission to save the world or release a suffering. Not that there is a you with any agenda whatsoever. It's just what's happening. And sometimes the life is experiencing and expressing through a belief system. And that belief system may be like a governing belief system for that particular machine.

That's fine too, you know, we believe that that's whatever, we can't walk on water or something. And nobody questions that, nobody bothers that, it is kind of transparent. The cats seem to believe that too. Or any other governing concepts that are happening. But again, whether the concept appears or it doesn't, life unfolds as it should. And I found on the floor one more card that just fell out of the box and it says, Mind duality works in interrelated opposite. It can't work in any other way. It grasps things. It can't grasp no thing. Any trying is futile. There is no answer to life in thinking.

Knowing that, understanding that, that is really the only thing for the so-called intellectual or cognizing capacity, the reasoning capacity that needs to be understood. This is not a tool for the job The mind the thinking the dividing the conceptualizing the good bad pleasant painful and anything in between is not going to bring the answer to life Because life is prior to conceptualization It was happily there before the language has been invented And the trying is futile What is thinking? What is your experience of thinking? It's just like a ghost, just phenomena that comes and goes, comes and goes. I am the one who is the creator of it.

Really, there was never anything substantial with its own integrity. It was only existing in this backdrop of awareness, which we call space. And then it goes, and then you're just left again with what? Just awareness. In fact, the whole time, it's always awareness, seemingly clouded by thoughts, seemingly. And then, you know, you put the power of belief into it and then, oh, then it's really real. But what are thoughts really? Really? What does Bob say? He says thoughts are, you know... Yes, Sky, right, thank you. What do you say? Something about... Actually, he said this to me the first time I ever spoke to him, was, you know, what's a thought?

The thought is sound, subtle sound. Sound is energy, energy is vibration. And vibration is happening in space. You give meaning to that vibration or whatever. There is seeming meaning given to vibration. And when he said that it sort of stripped any meaning from the sounds. And then there was sort of just sounds, vibrations happening without any rhyme or reason for it. There's no meaning behind any of it, but that no meaning was what it is that I guess is being spoken about or not spoken about. The sounds and the meanings are arbitrary. And they vary from one seeming entity to another. And that makes the whole thing so interesting, doesn't it?

Because your entity's apparent interpretation of the concept of fear might be quite different to here. Are we even all talking about the same freaking thing? I don't know! And who cares? Yeah, it's beautiful. Just see what the... just like the dream, when the dream unfolds, you don't know what's the next scene going to be. You're just the point of consciousness watching the unfolding and watching yourself responding to it. Sometimes there is flying, or there is running, or there is fighting, or there is arguing, or there is moving somewhere. But this is all just unfolding as it does. And same here. That seems there is, because there is more of the conceptualization, it seems more stable, it seems more predictable, it seems that there is a space for planning.

And of course there is, but that's also a spontaneous activity. But in the dream, and this is really not that different, in the dream, Not only you don't really hold much of a past, but you also just see the vehicle, the point in consciousness responding. Just like the cat, like Amoeba. And I see there is one more... Oh no, I read that already. Did you have... I'm reminded, I'm pretty sure I may have heard someone in this space or field, Meach and Rumi and out beyond the idea of right doing and wrong doing there is a field so you're talking about the field yeah and I that's one of my favorites as well yeah I love in the self-help world when people go this is all an illusion I just want better illusions Yes, and even in Rumi's song when Kavisha sings it, I will meet you there.

There is no I, there is no you and there is no there. Everything in the experience is just here. But that is also a beautiful way Rumi brings it to the level of human experience, which is not excluded. We are not excluded. We are not in the denial of appearance of being separate entity, appearance of being the somewhere in the body-mind, being a do-where. This all feels like, it feels like there is someone making a decision. It feels like there is someone in control, that is someone who just gave Bob the painkiller or whatever it does. But that's the grand illusion, that's the beauty of that incredible, mysterious manifestation, unknowable, incomprehensible manifestation, that just as when the actor plays on the stage, it takes, it embodies the role that is being played.

And we, in that human experience, we may have tons of those roles. Bob is completely different as a husband than he is as a mentor. I am a member of the

The Anything comes up? What's the title of that book? The blue green page one. The blue book? The Treasure of Basic Space of Phenomena? Yeah. The Precious Treasury of the Basic Space of Phenomena. You don't need anything, you don't need to even read the book. Don't need to read the book. Because basic space, when you look into space, Can you conceptualize anything at all that could be outside of space? Can't be. What would it be in?

It would have to be in space. And that other one, they've got nothing, there's seven treasuries. They've written all about space. Space is, they call it a cognizing emptiness. This is the emptiness that has the capacity of cognising. Or cognising is knowing. If you're knowing the emptiness of everything, that's it. You don't need the bush. It's all contained in those two titles. And there are a few other titles that are pretty good darling. What's Wrong With Right Now If You Don't Think About It. What a brilliant title of a book. And we have that book on Amazon if anyone doesn't have it yet. And that's what I say.

Everything is in that space. Spaces is a cognising emptiness. And what do they say in the Nsingbe? Emptiness here, emptiness there. Yet the infinite universe stands ever before your eyes. No difference. It's all that cognising emptiness. Beautiful. What's your next thought gonna be? Don't know. Let's find out. Not that there is anyone to find out, but it's just being relaxed, empty space in which that next thought appears or doesn't. I don't know, there's something about the things that occur in the empty world. The world is basic space. It's nothing. But everything is contained. So it's all appearance, only seemingly so. And that's the definition of phenomena.

That's what it appears to be, only seemingly so. You are dreaming your dream, you call the world. Stop looking for ways out. This is Nisargadatta says. The dream is not your concern. Your concern is you love one part of the dream or not the other. But love all of it and the rest will be done for you. And it happens to be true. You're loving your dream, my darling. Yeah. And that there's no fear of death here. Where am I gonna go? You'll die, yeah. What happens when you die? The life goes out of this pattern of energy. Life goes out. But what happens to it then?

Life will break down, the body breaks down, the society deteriorates. Life will break down, it will break down into just dust, as they say, ashes to ashes, The Whether the body should deteriorate, rot in the soil, go to given to the science of being burnt or anything? The Great Day way is not difficult for those who have no preferences. Why would you care, would you? When love and hate are both absent. That's not only love and hate. When all thoughts, concepts and ideas are both absent, everything becomes clear and undisguised, just as it is. Yeah, he once said that he, you can roll me to the gutter if you want to.

Can't care less. Yeah that pretty amazing That a great demonstration We have it like day by day to actually have that sense of freedom and attitude and love for life or the dream in the given situation when, yes, there are pipes hanging in and delivering no cure, just a pain relief for the body. Padma says thank you Bob so profound and Michael says awesome to hear Bob sharing an awesome story from Marty. Much love to you all. Padma happy birthday. Itchy nose. That'll go on his face too. So why worry? Because it passes. Sooner or later. Even the itchy nose. We find yourself scratching or not.

Every moment is fresh and new, isn't it? Every moment is fresh and new. No need for energy of belief into stuff that seemingly happened or the imagined future. Just fresh and new. And Bob says, you know, love all of it or none of it. I Am Self-Liberation Through Seeing With Naked Awareness. Well there you are, there it is again in the title. Self-liberation, freedom, seeing through, naked, awareness. Awareness is not a dawn of any concepts, ideas or images. Yes, that's right, Pistou. You got it right. And we have other titles like One Essence, experiencing and expressing as everything. Another title of Bob's book. Beautiful, simple.

Not in my books, but in most every book that's got that understanding of saying it. But that one is yours. And presence-awareness also, that's all there is. Just this and nothing else. There is nothing else. One of my favorite titles is by Joan Tollefson, who I think you know Bob well and brought. It's just, it'll catch you if you just see it, but it's death, the end of self-improvement. And believe it or not, we love, we all love John. Bob was staying with her in Chicago 21, almost 20, 20 and a half years ago, and they became friends, and they stay in touch through email, and we just finished reading that book one chapter a day, Delighting in every word.

There is a lot of message presented in exactly the same way that Bob presents, but there is more of that beautiful, honest, clear and fun elaboration on things that are not normally considered to be even speakable or brought to light. But yes, end of self-improvement, death and aging. It was just delightful, wasn't it darling? Yeah. It is ups and downs at the time, but it does, life does. Life does, yes. But you just relax back into it. Everything is perfectly resolved in the unborn Buddha mind. As Bengi said, the 1600s. Perfectly resolved. Perfectly. And, yeah, no, that's no more. No new comments. Anyone? It's so beautiful to be here.

I just feel moved to say that everything is love. I could keep talking. They're just words again. Intelligence, energy, love, light. I really like love. I don't know what it is, but it resonates. And it's all that, you know, it's the, it's what nurtures everything. It's just all that. There's nothing else. Nothing else. Just appearances of apparent differences and phenomena. Just pesto, it's just pure love that cat. You don't know what it is, but then you are expressing what it is. Beautiful, yes, beautiful. It's that, you know, like Jesus was saying, open your mouth and the Father, which is the presence, the Lord's presence, or just the pure presence, will speak.

If there is no personal agenda, if there is no belief on wanting or trying to impress or achieve or whatever just steps out of the way and that presence speaks And sometimes it can say things that will be judged by the audience as inappropriate The whole thing one of my favorite expressions is never mind the BS mind I say never mind the bullshit mind because all the you know when we get so worked up over different things and the mind starts worrying and worrying and listing different things yeah I just say never mind never mind and let it go and Bob would say there is no mind if I remember.

The trick is, you know, I've said this one before, but there's a quote in Lawrence of Arabia. And he does this little trick with burning his fingers with a little match, you know, and the other guy tries to replicate it. He says, oh, damn, that hurts. And Lawrence goes, you know, like, mate, the trick is not minding that it hurts. Enjoy, enjoy everything in that moment, that's it, love it all. I Am That, Ramana Maharshi, I Nchagiri, Dzogchen, Veda, Vedanta, presence-awareness, Mahavakya. The mysterious radiance, which is always fresh and new, which yes, you may call love when you see it in its full glory, but it also includes the darkness, it includes the dread, the grief, the unpleasantness, the humiliation, the fear, all those surreal things.

Survival instincts flaring up because there is love for being. Behind it all. Behind it all, of course. Behind it all, it's still love. Who would ever be worried about being humiliated if they didn't have a preference for being loved? So there is a way love experiences and expresses itself as the opposite, but it is still the same one, which of course in the manifested world the only way to know and experience The There is nothing in the dream even though everything is made of the same matter of the mind, of the same space. It still feels like there is ten thousand things in the dream even though dream ends and it all folds up back to the gone.

But it still appears to be different. Couple of things you said there twice. There is no body. Whatever the other body is doing, it is seeing, so obviously it has the eyes and they are open and it's eating food or whatever. While the alleged physical body which doesn't exist in the present experience of the dream is on the bed motionless with the eyes closed. So there is no body really, there is an appearance of the body, there is an experience of the body or there is an experiencing in which the body arises There is an experience, a sink in which the dream arises and different role arise.

What an amazing play, what an incredible show. And all that, none of that would have happened if there was no awareness of presence. That is the prerequisite, that is the baseline, that is the basic space or what you call it. And the seeming mind which doesn't exist, which is really nothing more than that basic space. It where it arises in behind the whole shebang It not separate from this no need to dislike it or hate it or have any contrasting whatever Tantrum nonduality meeting And it's bloody fantastic. You were saying it then, the pre-sense. Instead of saying presence, pre-sense. Prior to senses, yes. The presence prior to any interpretation of any sensory input.

Seeming color, seeming differences in sound, Seeming changes in texture, seeming changes in taste. And you know, it's like Bob says, go down to the ocean, get me a bucket of blue water. Good luck with that. I am a man. I am a person who is not aware of the world. It will come up later. The conditioning is to scream or yell or drop or break a plate or cry or whatever it is. When the button is pushed, the only or the best way to deal with that tendency is to learn about it as much as you can. Just relax and see how the tendency arises, see how intense, see how often, See how the reflection of that response or reaction looks like or appears in the body, whether the breathing is changing, whether there is a knot in the throat.

There is a lot of curiosity around that mechanical conditioning. When the certain algorithms start playing out, the button was pushed and then like the bull charging the red blanket, the conditioned response, stimulus response. Learn everything you can with the curiosity, including the preference for that response to not arise. Watch that too, because you are the space-like awareness. If you manage to relax and actually join that free attention of space-like awareness and see that response arising and learn about this response, You will notice that the response cannot be that inflamed anymore because part of the attention that was fueling it is now relaxed watching it. So even though this is not a prescription how to break the pattern, well it naturally eases off the pattern just from the simple mathematics.

Some of the energy is pulled out of it and is relaxed to pure awareness, to witness it. Salaam alaikum. Salaam alaikum. What did you want to say to them? Yeah, leave it go through to the keeper. That's what I used to say years ago. If you've got a whoop playing the game of cricket, cricket's on now, and you don't swipe it, the ball doesn't hit it, it's not going to do any damage, unless it's on the wicket across. But just let it go through. Beautiful. Swipe it, it can go up and be caught, get hit, all sorts of things. It can be cold, it can be...

all sorts of things can happen. Just relax and let it be. Let it be, relax, because what you are is a space like awareness, it's not tense. What is tensing is just a pattern, you're not that pattern. Well, you're all of the patterns, but not that particular one, not the one singular pattern of resistance, that pattern arises, that comes and goes, and you are there prior and after and through that pattern. And we have Primali sending cards and saying thank you and Sital thank you so much. And Primali, wow, that dream example is amazing. And I think that took us to the point where we wrap up and thank you everyone for participating and for asking questions and commenting and thank you guys.

Wonderful to have you here. Great to be here. Yeah. Thanks, Bob. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Subtitles by the Amara.org community
