Andrew, Andrew, Peter, Tess, Joe, Joseph, Nathan, Coral, Mitra, Julia, Geraldine, Terry, Jane, Josh, Maureen, Dean, and Bob. Well, Merry Christmas to everyone. Merry Christmas Bob and Kat. I'm not going to teach you anything new. Same old, same old. So is it. And I can't teach you anything. And I can't tell you anything. All I can do is point to a word and ask you to look to where I'm pointing to. To see for yourself. Because that's the most important thing. Nobody can do it for you, but you've got to see it for yourself. And the other way I put it, I'm not speaking to anybody.

I'm not speaking to any mind. I'm speaking to that I am that I am. That I am is a sense of presence. That each and everybody already know that I am. But instead of seeing that I am is the absolute or the great perfection, you're seeing I am this person. I am Bob. I am Harry. I am Peter or Jane or whatever else your name might be. Julia. And we take on that idea that we are this separate entity. And, uh, our parents gave us those names. And you weren't born with any words. Understand that. You didn't pick up any words until you were about two, two and a half.

Somewhere around that age. But you were living before that. And what would that tell you? Wouldn't that tell you that you're prior to the word? You're prior to the thought? You're prior to the mind? You were functioning quite well for that two and a half years. Your parents were looking after you. But you'd let them know if you were hungry or you'd try or other ways you'd let them know. But we had no words. And we've taken on all those words since then when the capacity of reasoning developed us to about two, two and a half. Which is the capacity that these humans have which is more developed than what it is.

And other insects, birds, animals, all things. And the word is not the real. Take the word water. Try and drink the word. Can you swim in it? Can you drown in it? You can't. The word fire. Can you cook with it? Can you heat yourself with it? Can you burn yourself? So all these words we've taken on, we've put meaning into, uh, not what the, the, the, what the meaning is. The word is not the real. It's not the real. It's the thing. And you were not born with any words. So you're prior to the word. Prior to the mind. And what we point to here is what they call in Hinduism Advaita.

Advaita meaning non-duality. One without a second. Not two. One without the other. Not two. One without the second. What would that tell you? That there is only that. Hey! Good to see you. One without a second. One without a second. They describe it as Sat, Chit, Ananda, Nama, Rupa. They're the five factors. Sat is existence. Chit is consciousness or awareness. Ananda is loving to be. And the Nama, Rupa, name and form, body, mind. And they tell you that name and form is Maya. It's illusion. It's illusion. This body, mind, this pattern, shapes and forms we have, it's illusion. But look at the rest of it, sat, existence.

Anyone who's not existing right now, you know I'm existing. Anyone who's not conscious, not conscious, or unaware, now you know I'm aware, I'm conscious, anyone who's not happy to be. Well nobody would be dead for quids right now, would you? You'd rather be than not be. So you already are that. And what is the point of trying to become something that you already are? Name and form as they say is illusion, maya. And they call it a phenomenal manifestation. And the definition of phenomena is that which appears to be. So you and I and everything else in this manifestation is just appearance. And what's the great mantra they tell you?

I am that. Everything is that. And innately you already know it. Because that's the chair you're sitting in. That's the carpet on the floor. That's the space in the room. That's the room itself. That's the trees, the flowers, the birds. Everything is already that. And what are we trying to become? And realize becoming is not being. Becoming implies a future time. And when you look into time, the concept of time, you'll see that time is a fiction also. Is there a past if you don't think about it? And you can't say there's a past without thinking. But you'll say, I was in the past. Or go back and live yesterday.

Go back and live last week or last year. You can't. You can recall it. And you can't recall everything. You can't even tell me what you... said a moment ago or what you thought a moment ago. Unless you recall it. If you can't recall it, well it's gone forever. If you can recall it, it's only there why you can recall it. So you can't say there's a past. What about a future? Well a future is anticipation and imagination. You can anticipate, tell me what you're going to do when you... this meeting's over and you leave it. Imagine, but it's not the actual. Even though you're anticipating in such a way, it mightn't happen that way.

So time, past and future, is presence, past is gone, presence is this immediacy, and future hasn't arrived. All concepts. So where does that leave you? Present and aware, timeless. Pure being. Pure knowing. And pure knowing that you are. But not what you believe yourself to be. We've taken ourselves to be this person. Because the parents put the name on us and we take ourselves, and we've never questioned that. That's why they call it ignorance in the scriptures. Not that we're dull or stupid, but it means we're ignoring our reality, our true nature. And taking ourselves to be this person. Where does the word person come from?

It comes from an ancient language. Latin, I think it is. Persona, the mask. Saying we've got a mask or a concept about what we are. I'm Bob, the Australian, the good fella. Or not so good. People like me, people don't like me. All these concepts, thoughts, ideas, images. But can anyone negate your existence? You can't. Your beingness. And anyone who is not unaware. You say, no, I am aware. And anyone who's not happy to be. So you're already that. And the great mantra, I am that. We take ourselves, I am to be this person. And instead, so now with what our parents told us, we've never questioned it.

And so if somebody asks you who you are, you'll say, I am Bill, or Jane, or Jean, or whatever your name might be. So we're pointing to this conceptual image and not the actual. Well, non-duality is one without a second, not two. Absolute. What can you add to absolute? Nothing. It wouldn't be absolute if you could add anything more to it. What can you take away from absolute? Nothing. If you take anything away, it wouldn't be absolute. Or as they call it in Buddhism, perfection, the great perfection. You can't add anything to the perfect. You can't take anything away from it. It wouldn't be perfect.

And they give it here in one sentence there. The great perfection is non-conceptual awareness. It's that awareness that's with you already without putting any concepts, thoughts, ideas, or images. Just as it is. Fresh and new. Spontaneous. Naturally. And we didn't learn any words until about two, two and a half. And that's when all the problems started. With word. And doesn't tell you in the Bible, in the beginning was the word. The word was with God. The word was God. That's all that God is, is a word. All things were made by him, by the word. And isn't that true? Everything in this room you got names on.

And everything outside the room you can look at, you got labels on them. Everything was made, all things were made by him. There was nothing made that was made. And we've taken the word on, the leaf, and seen the word real. But it's not real. It's not actual. So, we've learnt words. And the primary thought is that thought I am. The sense of presence translates through the mind as the thought I am. So I am this, or I am that, or I am Bob. Shakespeare told you 400 years ago, there's nothing in the world, there's nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes us so.

Again, putting it, our only problem is thinking. We're thinking dualistically. How does that come about? Well, something comes up, and you like it. How do you know? Well, I've experienced this before and it's good. And I like it. Good morning everyone. Good morning home. Good to see you. Something comes up and you like it. And we don't want the things we like to go. We want to hang on to them at all costs. Not realising that this manifestation being spontaneous is transient. And that no matter how much you love it, no matter how much you want to keep it there, it's going to change. We don't want it to change.

So what do we do? We resist it. Don't you realise that resistance is conflict? If you're resisting something, you're in conflict. And conflict makes you unhappy, miserable, anxious, fearful. Or another way of putting it is uneasiness. You're uneasy when all this psychological conflict... Another word for uneasiness is dis-ease. So there's resistance, conflict and dis-ease going on all the time in these bodies. Something comes up that I don't like. Oh, I shouldn't be thinking that thought. That's a bad thought. I'm a sinner. I shouldn't think that at all. So again, what do we do with that? We try to get rid of it. Resist it. Conflict and dis-ease.

So whichever way you look at it, this is constantly going on. What happens if we leave it as it is? What is means unaltered, unmodified, uncorrected. Just as it is. We're not trying to change it in any way, shape or form. And then you realise that me, the resistance, brings up the fear, the anxiety, the distress, the guilt, the anxiousness, the unhappiness, the despair. All our psychological suffering comes about this resistance. And it's only the believed in me that takes it on and is resisting it. So me is the cause of all my psychological suffering. It's only me that can be fearful. Only me can be unhappy, depressed, guilty, shame.

Me is the cause of it. And the anxiety, the stress, the guilt, the shame, they're the effects of the cause me. Cause and effect. Isn't that what so-called karma is? Cause and effect. What would happen if I recognised the cause, the me, is a fiction? And asked myself the simple question, can there be effect if it's not related to a cause? Well there can't possibly be an effect if it's not related to the cause. So what would be imperative to do? To recognise this believed in me, this conceptual image, is not what I am. Not what I am at all. And as Christ told you, whenever he was around, I can't remember, He said, 2022.

Hmm? 2022. I am the way. I am the truth. I am the life. People thought he was talking about himself. But he wasn't. He was talking about that sense of presence. That expresses through the mind. As the thought I am. So you can say the same, that sense of presence is the way. It is the truth. It is the life. Is there anybody unaware right in this moment? And you know you're not. I keep repeating that. You're not unaware so you must be aware. The Sargent had told you there is only life. There is nobody who lives a lie. Life lives on life and out of life more life comes.

So look at that one. When did you come about? Where did you come from? And you realise you came from the life of your parents. That animating life essence in your father and your mother, your parents. Intelligence energy. In the father that life essence enabled in that pattern a little miteswap of a particle called a sperm to form. You can't see it with your naked eye. Now that sperm was there. That sperm was suffused with intelligence. It knew what to do. The same in your mother. That animating life essence in your mother enabled in that pattern another miteswap of a particle called an egg or an ovum to form.

That ovum was suffused with intelligence. It knew what to do. It attached itself to the wall of the uterus. And the sperm knowing what to do swam to the ovum. When those two came together what happens? The innate intelligence in the two. The sperm penetrated the ovum. And that innate intelligence coming together and growing from that adding to it doubled. That little sperm and ovum doubled and redoubled. Formed the little foetus. The little embryo. Which is what you are today. What were you doing about it then? Nothing. But it was happening naturally. Naturally and evidently by itself. Just the same as it is right now.

The earth is rolling around the sun. Seasons are coming and going. Tides coming in and out. Going and coming in and out. Tsunamis. Stars. Planets forming. All this manifestation. It's breathing you. It's beating your heart. And it's growing your fingernails. The same intelligence energy. It's energy. And that is what you are. That is what is. What is means unaltered. Unmodified. Uncorrected. Not what was. Or not what will be. But as it is right now. Timeless. Bodiless. Mindless. You are that. No being. No ending. No becoming. Just as it is right now. What do you have to do? What do you have to do about this right now?

Do you have to think about taking that next breath? The breathing is happening. The heart is beating. What about, what's your next thought going to be? You all tell me you don't know what your next thought is. Doesn't the thought I think come up? As soon as that thought I think comes up, what are you doing? You formed a subject. A thinker. A subject that's thinking. This thought. Which becomes the object. The thought becomes the object. So can there be a thinker without thinking? Because there can't be a thinker without thinking. And can there be the thought without thinking? There can't be the thought without thinking.

So subject, object, dualism are concepts. They're a fiction. Thinking is spontaneous. It is natural. And the thinking is the reality. Not the I think, but thinking. The same applies to the seeing, the hearing, the tasting, the touching, the smelling. So I see, I hear, I think, I taste, I touch, I smell. Relating to this fictitious image. This ego. Ego is a self-centred reference point which is the cause of all my problems. And it's a fiction. It doesn't even exist. We're taking it to believe that it does exist. And functioning from that point of view. But what needs to happen is to recognise your true nature.

That you already are not unaware. That every thought, feeling and emotion. And everything else appears in that awareness. And you don't have to become aware. It's the background on which everything appears. Consciousness is existing. Existence. That is utterly aware that it exists. So the awareness is there prior to the consciousness. And the conscious breaks it down into words, concepts, ideas and images. So you already are that. That is all there is. Don't pretend to be what you're not. As Ram Dass told you. And don't refuse to be what you are. You are that. Know it for certain. That is what I am. Everything is that already.

So it's the one essence that's patterning, shaping, forming. Experiencing. And expressing as everything. So know the truth and the truth will set you free. So that'll do. Come on. Now it's Christmas. You want to tell me all about it. Satisfied. You never will be satisfied. Until you know the truth. It's only the truth that will set you free. You're free of the bondage of belief. Belief is never the actual. Look in your dictionary. The disinclination of belief is an unquestioned acceptance of something in the absence of reason. Acceptance of an alleged fact. An alleged fact mind you. Without positive knowledge or proof. So it puts you to belief to that test.

And you'll get a different attitude and a different outlook on what is. What is is unquestioned. Unmodified. Unaltered. Unmodified. Uncorrected. What is. What do you want to read? What is is unaltered, unmodified, uncorrected. Just repeat it. She just wants you to repeat what you just said. Yeah. What about it? What thought? Or the definition? No, just what is. You've already done it. What is is unaltered, unmodified, uncorrected. No preference. No partiality. No comparison. Just as it is. Was it the thing about belief? The thing about belief. The thing about belief. The thing about belief. The definition of belief is an unquestioned acceptance of something in the absence of reason.

That means we haven't questioned it or looked into it. We've just taken a look at it. Like when your parents told you that I am so and so. Santa Claus. Yeah. Yeah. To run the belief that I am that. And if somebody asks you who you are, you'll say, I am that. I am Billy or Jane or Gene, whatever your name might be. We're never questioned. An unquestioned acceptance of something in the absence of reason, acceptance of an alleged fact without positive knowledge or proof. When you put your belief to that test, if it's not the fact, it'll fall apart. It's acceptance of a belief, acceptance by whom?

By the believed in entity. And who accepts that belief? The seeming person. You believe you are that persona. And who believes it? That's what I don't know. Who believes when we say you believe? The seeming person. What do you know? Geraldine. Geraldine. Geraldine believes. The person. Unless you don't. But if you think of yourself like five years ago, did you believe you were a person? What did you believe about yourself? Maybe you have absolute full clarity right now, and that's wonderful, wonderful. Welcome home. But if you remember when you were going to school, who did you consider yourself to be? Did you consider yourself to be a little girl?

Or when you got your first work or you fell in love? Or five years ago? You considered yourself to be someone, because we were conditioned to identify as someone, as a person. Usually, either the body or the body-mind. That's what we were growing up, since children. We learned to identify as this object. So this object is also conditioned to accept belief in Santa Claus, belief in seasons, names of the countries, you have the belief where you come from, what's your name. All those things were conditioned by that imagined entity to consider. So that very entity, imagined entity, accepts the beliefs. That's part of the software.

Believe yourself to be a human being. Sorry, Bob. You believe yourself to be a human being. Yeah. That's right. Yeah, as I was listening, I'm trying to extract myself from these thoughts. Mm-hmm. So who is trying to extract themselves from these thoughts? Who? That's what you need to look at. Isn't it Bob who should ask you that question? You should be answering who is trying to extract. Who is trying to figure it out? I have the same question. Yes. I have been having kids. That's the thing. This question, we are in the middle of it. We're in the middle of it. We are inviting you to ask yourself, who wants to know?

It can only be another thought. Yeah, that's a good answer. Who is aware of that another thought? Then how do I get out of that? That's my question. Yeah. Who is having that question? Who is it? Who wants to know? There is no one. It's very clear. There is no one. But I still identify, as Geraldine says, so much. If there is no one, who identifies? I can definitely hear that. You know, like birds singing and realize there is hearing. There is no hearing. It's been a while. I can identify with all the negative things I have about myself also. I don't know. It's all, I'm waiting for something to happen to wake up.

There is no one. But intellectually, I think it dropped. Intellectually, I know there is no one. Because I sit and I meditate and I find no one. Well, have a look at that. But it hasn't dropped deeper. Do you have the same thing, Geraldine? I'm still trying to understand it intellectually. It's not possible. It is not possible. Because the one who is trying to understand it intellectually is a software. It's a program. It's a broken record which narrates what's happening. It doesn't have any capacity. It doesn't have any capacity to understand anything in any way. So how do we come out of that software? We don't.

Because there is no one. Bob wants to say something. You've got to, if I ask you who you are, you'll say I am, won't you? What's that I am-ness? Isn't the sense of presence, of being aware? So you are that sense of presence, really. Not the body-mind. The sense of presence was expressed as form. It's not the mind. It's the thought. I am. But I still want to recognize it with a thought. I don't know. Impossible. It's thought-free, ever fresh, presence awareness. Just this, nothing else. Thought-free. Free of the concepts. Thoughts are concepts. What's a thought? A sound, a word, a vibration. What's a vibration?

A movement of energy. The same with the body. You say my body. Just the same as you say my coat, my car, my house. You know you're not the coat. Just energy. Just energy. Einstein will tell you that. It's all a ruse, is energy. And can energy understand anything? Like, does it have a brain? If the thought, if the idea is that thought has to understand non-duality, what sort of means the thought has to actually understand? Thought is just a sound. Thought is just a sound, a vibration. Yeah, that's a good question. It doesn't have a brain. It can't understand anything. The thought is like a sound.

Can the sound of the thunderstorm have any understanding in the way that you look for? Yes, it doesn't. That's right. So who is that that understands all that? That's the question they're inviting you to look at. Exactly. I've been looking at for a while. I haven't got any idea. So if you always get, let me just say this out loud, and correct me if I'm wrong. Okay? But my, well there's no understanding, but if when you ask this question, who wants to know? And what comes up is no words at all? You've got the correct answer. Well, let me clarify. You suggested I'm as I am, like with all my ignorance and everything.

I'm that. Yes. Everything. Everything is that. With all my illusions. Yes. Everything included. Because there can be anything else because, you know, there is only one thing. There's only one. That's why I say intellectually it's understand the book. Okay. So if there is only, so who is, actually ego then doesn't exist. Ego is not a person or anything. It's just a verb. Right? Yes. Yes. Because it's true nature egoing. Yes. Exactly. Correct? Yes. So that is understandable so far. The word ego. This is how I go about it. And then, okay, so I'm egoing, so ego is a verb. The word wasn't even invented until about 150 years ago or something.

Sorry? The word ego hasn't even been invented. It was Freud who invented it. Freud invented it 150 years ago. Yes. Before that, the word didn't even exist. Exactly. So it's not even a word. It's just a verb. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. It's a word. Yes. Before that, the word didn't even exist.

Exactly. Yes. So the ego didn't exist. That's right. So when I actually go in, sorry if I'm wasting too much time, when I go in, I see the person is egoing. I clearly see from the day, from when I wake up until I go to bed, I'm egoing. So I'm that that is egoing. And then there is a commentator on that that is egoing. Yes. I think it's let's call it super ego there is also that that constantly comparing what I do with you know spiritual now it's spirituality I compare it with the spiritual am I doing the right thing or not what should I do now do I need to accept let go you know what the hell I need to do right now like I'm constantly trying to work out what I should do or commenting on the wrong things that I do you know but you think so that's super ego so there is sick third person here it's true nature who wants to fix it I think Bob can say something now he was you're wanting to add to it keep adding to it instead of letting go we did you know what I'm saying I'm not saying that I'm attached for it just be pure that pure sense of presence the being knowing the loving to be but you add on to it all sorts of stories attached to it and burden yourself down with it that's what they call it ignorance in the scriptures not that we dull or stupid we ignore it it's that simple we ignore it focus into some concept or more story add a but to it or what if or why and keep the story going can I you mean like just feeling the present I mean that's another thing I don't know how to do it like okay you mean I don't need to work all of that at no you can't but I can't okay so you're suggesting that I just basically a lot what's wrong with right now if you don't think about when I first came to this many years ago the mind was just trying to figure it out and you know and I had a very useful book handed to me and it was krishnamurti actually and he talked about the me and the me is what we identify as us our label right now that me cannot live in the moment it cannot it can only live in the memory and that member by traded into feature so what's happening is when the mind is confronted with something it can't figure out it goes into a tailspin it's it's not sure because it can only work in the parents of opposites pleasure pain happy such as G colors you may not nature it's a clunky mechanical thinberts approved thing but it can only work in those parameters right so whenever I'm in conflict I have to be in the past or the future I cannot be right now I cannot be right now if it's so what I'm saying is so the me so whenever there's a question it's the me right right so so a useful thing here was who's it's had who's this happening to it must be me where does the me live the me has to live in memory or has to be projected into the future so who's it happening to me so then I take a big breath what's wrong with right now if I don't think about it that was very useful to me and you know Bob says there's no practice but to me that was the thing that helped me the most was firstly I am life itself secondly whenever I'm in resistance or conflict I have to be in the memory of myself what about addiction I mean I'm an addict I'm an addict I'm 38 years off booze 36 years of of smoking dope 32 years of cigarettes habits can be broken so can the habit of being referred to as addiction and that's what I'm trying to do I'm an addict I'm an addict I'm 38 years off booze 36 years of smoking dope 32 years of cigarettes habits can be broken so can the habit of being referred to as a separate entity it's a habit that is not true that is the false belief that is just the mind looking for an out I hope that helps yeah what I just like to know what happens when you do the investigation you come to a place where there isn't anything of emptiness moment of not knowing maybe that's where you find the answer just in that empty space let that start to talk to you it's anything like that's a good thing yeah that's false but that's me yeah I get yeah but you know it's I think it's if I'm the one you know but I'm addicted I have to admit that and addicted to many things not just substance to towards everything it just and when I when I I can have a brief moments of not identifying with it I I can see there is no one there I can see it I mean it's so obvious I think that you know that this is something that's not a practice but it is in the way it is if you just keep looking after a while there's no need to look you know what I mean it's just something you did there's an invitation to take a look because if there's any frustration I think the ultimate question and the ultimate answers same who wants to know who's trying to figure it out who gives a crap right and then if there's a little me I do ah there you have it well what is that I think gives a crap yeah I have to just keep going back that's that's who is exactly that's right that's exactly right that's all you do is you just keep going back and then you go oh yeah okay but it has to be genuine okay it can't just be oh who cares but it has to be genuine okay it can't just be oh who cares It has to be an honest, genuine...

No, no, it has to be... Yeah. And so what happens after... Well, it's... there's no time, but it seems that the more that this is looked into and investigated, the less you need to. The less there's an interest in even... It feels like... it feels like there is an enemy. I know there is none, but honestly, I feel like there is an enemy here that... because when I slow down things, you know, and want to see really how this happens, this energy come and take me over, when I slow down, it actually really tricks me to run into addiction. I don't know how it happens, but every time I'm made an issue, I'm like, oh, I'm going to get addicted to this.

And I'm like, oh, I'm going to get addicted to this. And I'm like, oh, I'm going to get addicted. I don't know why, I didn't have any intention to do that. So it doesn't want me to see what is actually happening. It doesn't want me to see it. Bob wants to say something. Does he? I heard you taking a breath. Maybe Kat wants to say something. No, no, you want to? Do you want to? Bob has said something I've heard him say before, that the false cannot stand up to investigation. If there's a thought happening, it's false. Yeah. Okay, but there you go. You can just like, just making it simple, but you can take a look and go, right, there's an enemy.

You just stated that as though it's a fact, right? So let's investigate that, right? The energy feels like an enemy. The energy feels like an enemy. Okay, but let's explore it. Okay, can you find that enemy right now without, there you go. So now you just answered your own question. You know, there is no enemy without a believed in thought. There is nothing. Why am I egoing so much? Like, what am I scared of? What is the I that's scared? Is there anything worse than what I'm living now? Like, the way I'm, what I'm doing to myself? This was. So you look pretty damn good to me.

You got lots of energy. That's great. Fabulous. So what are you, what are you telling yourself? Well, I'd just like to say that, as Bob said. It's still working. It's still working. The only real question is where's the hand? I'm trying. The more you just sit with the emptiness, the more it will become the solution. It's like the emptiness is the solution and the solution is the emptiness. Yeah. Just the small moments will add up to be real long stretches of time, supposedly. And in that time, you know, as you are the emptiness, time will disappear. You'll only realize this presence awareness, this sense of presence, which is all there really is.

It's not a noun, it's a verb. Isn't it, Jane? It is. You know. So when you say that I go to times I have to do more practice, you know. Who? Who? And I know it's another illusion. I take, my mind takes it like that. So I have to do more meditation, sorry. I have to do more meditation. I have to do more this, more that, you know. It just, it's just. It's just another illusion. Now Bob wants to say something. That's what I say, you just add to it then. Makes it worse. Yeah, keep adding. It's a matter of detaching from it. Leave everything as it is.

Unaltered, unmodified, uncorrected. What's wrong with right now if you don't think about it? But we add to it, we start a story. And then we've got the story on top of it. And then the story starts a story. And it goes on and on. And we keep adding to it. And we've got this conceptual image. An image made of a concept. And the great mantra is, I am that. That is all there is. That's the chair you're sitting on. That's the carpet. That's the room. Everything is that. The one. And you are that. See, it is really all about simple recognition. It is not about achieving something.

It is not about practicing. It is not about resisting and labeling. This action, this is resistance. This is mind wants to survive. This is me not wanting to go acting. A lot of story like Bob says. If you actually recognize what is simply happening. Heartbeat is happening. No story. It's just happening. Pumping blood happening. That's it. No story. Breathing is happening. That's it. That's what's happening. That's a simple recognition. Body is breathing. That's happening. Nothing else to say about it. Now narrative is happening also. Blah, blah, blah is happening. That is also happening. There is no need to listen to blah, blah, blah. And there is no need to even have the story.

Oh, blah, blah, blah. It means there is an ego. It means that I have to keep practicing. It means that blah, blah, blah. No. The blah, blah is happening. That's enough. The simple recognition. Ah, narrative is happening. There is no difference between the habitual brain being programmed and conditioned to be responsible for the heartbeat and the breathing and the narrative. Those are all automatic functions that have been preconditioned to preserve the body-mind. See, when the narrative is telling you, oh, you need instant gratification right now. Right now, you need instant pleasure, chocolate or sex or whatever you need, whatever the addiction of. Yes. Straight away.

Why is it doing it? To preserve the body-mind because the brain is conditioned. If something is sweet, it's safe. If something is savory, it may be poisonous. So this program. Being completely out of tune, being completely, you know, lashing out into the craziness doesn't support body anymore. Why? Because it has been hijacked by the belief that there is a me who needs to get that gratification, who needs to achieve that peace of mind. If it is recognized as a simple software, simple program, which intention beyond its work is to preserve the body-mind. There is nothing to say about it. Narrative is going on. That's it.

So for someone like me at this stage that I am, like I obviously don't have, don't see things the way you think. But can you see it now? I absolutely intellectually get it. I absolutely get it. But when that tendency comes for someone like me where I am that deluded. Yeah, yeah. But is it the tendency now? What's the best course of action? Is there any? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. But is it the tendency now?

What's the best course of action? Is there any? See? No. There is no best course of action. Exactly. That's irrelevant question, correct? Yeah. There's no me for a start to be someone like you. Yeah. There's no me. And also the idea that okay, right now I'm seeing it. Right now there is no trigger in situation. But next time, someone smokes cigarettes in front of me. Next time what am I gonna do next? See? By vacating this moment, divorcing this moment, and deciding that, you know? Yeah, yeah. that no i'm not going to be focusing on what i'm experiencing right now no i'm going to be experiencing the story about future what is going to happen next if someone triggers me that is precisely how this out of whack crazy narrative got to the point where it is now refusal to be with what's happening and instead of it focusing in what could have happened in the future insane it's instantaneous so what you can do right now in this moment forget about the future forget what's going to happen when the next time somebody has a glass of wine or when the next time somebody abuses you no be with this moment now because if you are actually fully present to what's happening including the narrative right now then the chances are that in the next moment when the trigger is around you may also respond from the present moment but if you don't if you don't do it now well you basically practice living in your story because asking okay right now i'm happy i'm fine but look this is jesus's 20 2022 birthday right but we know how it ended on the cross hello now i'm okay but what if i'm nailed to the cross tomorrow well but am i nailed to the cross right now no i'm not so instead of being present in the life right now i will be imagining being nailed to the cross what's the point thank you see that's the point instead of being present and awake and enjoying this moment now i imagine what happened when my mother calls me again or what happened when when somebody offers me a joint or what happens when they nailed me to the cross or what happens when i get old what happens when i will be dying that's All irrelevant questions, right?

Absolutely! You see it now. I just see it. Wonderful! That's all you need to see. Oh, they say with me though, I tend to forget. Just relax. That's the point. When the mind comes and invites you to divorce this precious, miraculous, mysterious present moment which will never ever happen again, when the mind invites you to go for the story instead of living fully, just smile. I see you. Thank you. That's the invite for the ride. But when you recognize that this is its function, that's what it does, that's what it is for. Preserve the body, supply the entertainment, that's its job. It's doing a good job.

There's nothing wrong. It's not the enemy, definitely not the enemy. But the recognition makes you free now. The freedom. Ah, okay. Now that is happening. Ah! That's the invitation for the trip. Look, I know people who have absolutely incredible talent to take any situation and interpret it as an opportunity to beat themselves up. Like, you know, even my sister, you know, she hasn't been invited to Christmas to my home. Of course she wouldn't come. She lives in Germany. It's absolutely impossible. It's just ridiculous. But now she may be feeling offended. I doubt she does. But she may be feeling offended that I didn't invite her because I should have invited her and she should have said no.

Well, she didn't invite me either. But I don't have that tendency. But she does. So that's the point. Everyone has the tendency to unfold the story. The story of being wounded, the story of being inferior, the story of being bored, the story of not being fulfilled. And find the evidence to confirm that that story is correct, that is true. If you recognize the pattern, again, of the storyteller, you recognize it. You can just, ah, cool. You're always recognizing it from that space like empty consciousness. The story about me, Mitra, or me, Katarina, is here. That's what's going on. But when I see the story as an object in consciousness, that's obviously impersonal.

That's an object in consciousness, under consciousness. And relax. You can do nothing. Imagined self has zero power. Imagined self cannot even meditate. Meditation happens, it may happen, but that's not Mitra doing it. That's life setting up all the circumstances, influences, and thoughts. And to just bring that back to what Bob said so beautifully, was that this me is an alleged fact without proof. This is the whole, you know, we base everything on this me that is just a belief. Just a thought. Yeah. It's very real though for us, right? But yeah, it's just a thought. That's amazing. Just, just, um, yeah. I'm sure when we realize, we're even more surprised how we believe that lie all our lives.

And the mind can't change the mind. So the truth eats away the lie, not the mind. The mind cannot change the mind. The mind's nature is to operate the way it's been so beautifully explained here. So the truth itself, that presence or that awareness, eats away the lie. You can't, this alleged Mitra can't do anything. It's pretty tough. It's like impossible. This is like an evil demon. And it's, no it is, it's casting its spell, and it's leeching our souls, and stopping us from seeing things, and it's corrupting us, and giving, creating memories and times and futures, and this evil demon is like, is me.

But there isn't one. There just isn't one. It's amazing. It's like all the dramas and, yeah, it's a phantom. It's a bondage to a phantom. And what a wonderful time to, to discuss that stuff when we all believed in Santa Claus not long ago. And you can see how the Santa Claus was real when you were a child and you were waiting for the gifts. I spoke at four in the morning with my family back in Poland. The kids weren't opening the gifts yet. They didn't know whether Santa was coming. The kids were like three and five year old. So then I called them again at six or 6.30 in the morning.

Oh yeah, they were good kids. Santa had been there, left the gifts. There is a different tradition. We celebrate Christmas Eve. So that's, that's why. See, they still believe at that point. Bob has this beautiful little story about, you know, like we were lied to about Santa. And we realize at some point that it was a lie. Some people take really distrust and offense. They hate their parents for not telling them the truth. But most of the kids understand that this is just a kind of like, you know, a wink, a joke. It's a joke. It's not, it's not serious. It's fun. It's funny. So when you realize that that imagined self was like a Santa, there is no one to be offended there.

You can see the joke. It really is a cosmic joke. So the me doesn't have to die. The me doesn't have to stop appearing. You just recognize that this is a costume. It's a personality. It's a costume. So-called ego is a costume through which that, you know, it's like a flute through which that life plays its melodies. So you don't resent it anymore, whichever way it appears, whether it has this pattern or those patterns or that pattern. Of course, self-destructive patterns may be recognized faster or sooner or maybe even helpful. But there is no one who needs to die. Santa Claus didn't have to die.

You just see that wink and you see, ah, that was fun. That was a joke. Yeah, the I, the me is a joke. That monster is a joke. Santa Claus never brought a gift. That monster never hurt anything or anyone. It's a joke. It really is. And it feels like it's not just a thought. As Bob says, it's a collection of mental images, past conditioning, feelings, traumas. All of that, that whole collection held back like a shield. It's heavy. It takes a lot of energy to actually hold onto it. But I didn't know that before it fell away. I didn't know how much energy I was packing into, holding into that imagined self because it was automatic.

But the moment you start recognizing that all energy is released and then suddenly you travel lighter, like Jay often says. The light of Bob was last week was talking about enlightenment being lighter because that heaviness of associating or identifying with every wound, especially the one that is in the heart, the one that's out in the darkly, those darkest feelings like, I'm not good enough. I'm not worthy. Everybody else is alright but I just, I don't fit in. It doesn't sit right. I'm out of luck. Those are all, those mental, emotional images, that heaviness. This is Santa. This is a joke. Because without it, you wouldn't taste the freedom.

You would be taking it for granted like cats and dogs. So you imagine yourself the cage of concepts, concepts just to see when you see it as a joke just to fully inhale that freedom of being who you always and ever been because when you realize the me is is is a dress it's a funny costume you realize it has been a funny costume always and ever since you were little it's like for me when the me that emotional self was seen through the obvious thing was that there was no emotional self yesterday either it was just an illusion just the appearance of it so if you recognize it just for a moment and since you're here you obviously have glimpses and not to mention every every night when you go to sleep image goes to sleep dissolves disappears there's no image when you when you're in presence of a beauty or great joy or when you in the moments even when you watch a good movie or listen to the music the self is not being constructed because you are too busy having all the senses overloaded with seeing, hearing, tasting, touching, smelling you're fully present with what is that image is not constructed what are you then?

when you don't imagine your face do you have it? what is the experience? if you don't think about the past is there any? if you don't imagine the future can you experience that? because this is really totally not, see? there is one world that you know for certain directly experienced here and now and there is another world completely imagined that you know from other people that you learned with language that you project the past to the future modifying, dreaming it daydreaming it even when I think about my family that I called in the morning at four in the morning I'm imagining, I'm daydreaming them because they're not present here now and this when you recognize how it comes into existence the whole world you see the joy of it you see the dance you see the play you can't help but just be amazed and love it and this is not stressful anymore because it's automatic it's not personal it's not my experience but I love it experiencing it like that isn't it ever?

do you feel anything resonating what is being said here? of course of course of course I mean but it's not never been my experience I mean I had some grace I didn't realize but I was experiencing the byproducts of that you know for a couple of weeks or so but I never really realized that I'm that never and but I can I can imagine what stands in the way? don't imagine? yeah it's so... it's the thought it's the thought yes yeah yeah yeah I'm honestly today for the first time I just had the possibility of just really considering it it's really a thought seriously yeah nothing more and also the fact that everything is as it is like just considering that it's also moving like that's it?

yeah like that's it what's the argument? like there is no point really I want it to be this way or that way it's just nonsense beautiful this is but you know it's very shadow you have to give it a five up yeah it's it just moved me a bit just considering it all is a thought nonsense thought like really doesn't even make sense yeah yeah for the but I have to go back every time basically I suffer as you mentioned it's a good I have to go back and see who is suffering basically and the person that is suffering apparently doesn't exist right I have to just keep repeating this for this belief to be dissolved because it's a very strong thought it depends what resonates with that because I've never asked that question myself it's just I'm not that verbal for me it was more of the emotional thing so for me it was more kind of like even look what's looking just putting because it was emotional for me it was the question of where do I place my love with the story or with the truth so it was really just coming back and see what's happening in the heart what's happening behind my eyes who is looking who is feeling who is experiencing that wasn't but it's not a verbal way who?

is there anybody there? is the emotional is there any sort of a shape or any presence or is just a plain sort of a mystery of being so if you just focus behind where is the seeing starting? yeah when I do that I see that internal gaze non-verbal completely yeah non-verbal yeah but I can describe it like that an internal gaze just that and quiet internal gaze that's all I can feel and what's wrong with that? subtle yeah nothing it's much better than the egoing for sure there you go and can you remember because see when you really fall in love with the truth because you had the glimpses of that internal gaze or that depth or whatever you had the glimpses you see the peace in it you experience the peace yes very subtle but yes very subtle very subtle but there is the peace yes can you actually see are you drawn to it?

are you in love with that? can you feel longing for that to expand and embrace because if there is that longing for the truth yes there is a yarn that is a wonderful vehicle okay there is a point in which in my whole experiencing of seeking I always wanted to have perfect marriage this that and the other but the point came where I wanted nothing but the truth only the truth and Bob was in the same place when he went to Nisargadatta the same place nothing else doesn't matter I can even hang on that cross I don't care but I only want that and that singular desire that longing is the call from the heart love for the truth that one make any soul feel make any sort of practice completely effortless now oh do I have to keep asking myself I won't even remember to ask myself who is it happened it's such a long sentence and it's not even my native language no it's too much of a work no I'm not going to do it if the love is there you attend to the subject or object of your love with no effort no question asked if the attending to the object of love is natural there is no that I have to remember to ask that question love is there that is the question that is already the answer can you feel that attraction towards the truth because yes I mean yeah it used to be happiness before the truth or end of suffering of course end of suffering let's call it but then it's been a while the truth taken over and then it's gone and I'm more interested in the truth what if the truth is nothing just peace that's right yes yeah I don't know what it is I have to admit that it might be nothing I really don't know because there is yeah it's not a solid thing isn't it it's just dynamic every moment truth is different isn't it Bob did you want to say something yeah I don't know what I'm talking about really you mentioned imagination a while back yeah Miss Agadatta says nothing can trouble you except in your own imagination hmm nothing can trouble you except in your own imagination yes break that word imagination down to image in that's what we're doing we're creating mental or conceptual images taking them to be real and believing in the images you see that if you're not creating those images thoughts concepts nothing can trouble you this is yeah this is moving today I mean I've been hearing this for years but it moves me a little bit today that yes this is all mental images it is and see for the mind the truth is nothing all the mind can ever find is zilch nothing like shit nothing ah void vacuum for the mind it is dead emptiness yuck it avoids it as a plague because it only exists when the mind is not it's a death of mind but for the heart is the fountain of youth and love and vibrance and radiance and vitality and joy that's why we say don't look for the answer in the mind all the mind can find it and the only thing the mind can ever show you is bleh nothingness non-existence imagine dying and not existing shit this is the instrument the pure experiencing the radiance the vibrancy the joy the miracle of existence of aliveness there could have been nothing like the mind said nothing zilch but there is aliveness and you are like Bob always says you are already aware you are already conscious you are already present you are already being and that's the fact that's not something you understand intellectually you know it for certain and that's it put your heart in that and see how it springs like Nisargadatta was told stay with the I am forget about everything else this is the diamond of good fortune they call it stay with the I am forget about distraction forget about the story forget about what happened to you in the childhood or about your addiction story all of those are relevant in the world of the dream but you want to wake up to the dream dream will still be going on it will still be relevant the responses will be still fine but to realize the dream as a dream is all you can ever do and then you are free because you are the dream character is doing its thing but that's not personal you are not the dream character that's the freedom but this is the freedom that's the freedom that's the freedom but this is the instrument not that recognize when you are talking about heart it's not your physical heart heart has the core the center of the spirit the symbol of the spirit or the core of your being and you know what heart to heart is because you often had what you call like I had a heart to heart with somebody and you felt my heart went out to them not the physical heart at all it's that core of beingness the resonance of things you know it that knowing I would also like to say that knowing Terry is doing his own pointing how would you address that Terry how would you answer to that the primary the question I think that needs to be asked is this supposed personal me self that we take our self to be we assume that it's the personal me self that is aware of thoughts you know what you just said the phantom is aware that that isn't real doesn't exist is aware can't be can't be we take we but there's a belief and it adds on to what Bob was saying earlier on John 1 I think it is out of the bible in the beginning was the word the word was God the word was with God and the word became flesh and the word became flesh and the word became flesh and the word became flesh that means I am this flesh I am this what says that words just words so then we take the position of me being here and this body and it's me that's conscious and it's me that's aware and it's me that can see hear taste touch and smell whereas if you truly look at what the me is truly look at it it becomes blatantly obvious that me cannot see hear taste touch smell it is not aware it is not conscious effectively it's deaf dumb and blind the me the personal me that yeah then Bob says you're sitting there you're conscious right you're aware right now who is that right and that's the mistaken identity which happens around the age of two years of age we start to take this that is conscious this that isn't and we start to take this that is conscious this that isn't and we start to take this that is conscious this that is aware this presence this beingness this seeing hearing tasting touching smelling we start labeling it me and it's not me it's just a very impersonal thing happening yeah but it's but the important part there is to see what you're not that's right don't you keep grabbing hold of the wrong end of the stick that's right because what I am is not definable so I have to I have to I have to I have to I have to I have to I have to I have to I have to really make sure that I'm not correct yeah but see you've got to you've got to come to see that this that is aware let's say your your internal story your internal dialogue yeah that that is aware of the internal dialogue is not what's your name again Mitra it's not Mitra no that that is aware of the internal dialogue is the one is awareness itself yeah yes yeah but we started calling this awareness and this beingness from around the age of two we started to learn or we started to believe that this and this body and this consciousness and awareness we labelled it me so in my inquiry I actually have to see what I'm not correct exactly because there is no way to know what I am that's right that's right that's right that's right that's right so yeah but yeah the truth you can only know who you're not it's not the truth that sets you free not the mind it's the truth not the me yeah can the me see is the me conscious and aware no then you'd have to go okay well let's see firstly what is the me what is it yeah that's it's a pattern of thoughts yes good can a thought see no taste touch smell but it's very obvious so you get to the answer in the first 30 seconds it is very obvious you see the truth of it and you've also heard people say for a long long time that that you're looking for you already are that's right I heard that that that you're looking for that's right now that that what's looking for that that the mind is looking for that's right good the mind can't experience this no it can never experience it you can't it's dualistic that's right in nature and what you do then and it's just a thought see the truth of all it's just a thought see the truth of all see the truth of all that see the significance of that truly see the significance of that ponder it see it don't take it in as an intellectual understanding see the truth of that the truth it's impossible for the mind to ponder that's it it's not the vehicle it's not the tool it's not as Adyashanti says it resonates it's not the vehicle it's not the tool it's not the tool it's not the right thing so and then do I get to this point is it possible for the me to be conscious and aware for the me to be conscious and aware no because it's a fiction but again it's not my experience yeah it is it is your experience it's your experience you just keep habitually assuming exactly that this is me that's right habitually and the main thing here isn't me you said addiction you said the primary addiction is the addiction to thoughts yes that's the primary and we can't put it down like an addict we can't put it down so what to do see that you are not that that's it that's it when you truly see that the truth of what you're not it's revealed to me it just crumbles and then guess what you're left with just this okay it's just going back and trying to see things for what they are for no for what they are it doesn't have to go back anywhere just see it from here just from here yeah that's it just now from here now yes don't worry what you're going to do about it tomorrow just now yes that's the trap that's the trap I've been doing I know I see how you're planning how you're going to be remembering it and using it and using it and applying it and trying not to plan also and you said now I have to go back who has to go and where do they have to go see that one of the things that kept me stuck was I kept saying to myself how is it with this level of intellectual understanding with this what I perceived as knowing how is it with all of that when I was to be really honest how is it that it still feels like me is here and I said that I don't know I don't know how many times I kept saying that it still feels like me is here there's one word in that sentence it still feels like me is here that I kept missing I kept missing and I kept missing and it's the word feels feels feels me can't feel feel feel it still feels like me is here me can't feel shit nothing that's right nothing so that that I was experiencing that I was naming me was that that I was actually looking for I just labelled it me like a dog biting its tail did you see that it feels like me in here me can't feel honey me can't feel me cannot feel me cannot feel me cannot experience this this presence this beingness that that you might want to label a feeling it's so that that I have been feeling and labelling it me and then wanting to get rid of that believing that this feeling is the me and that that's got to go I'd have to be dead for that to go right which was also what creates fear in the mind oh me's got to go that implies this has got to go too this feeling has got to go but it doesn't need to go no no because this feeling are you referring to what the feeling is not the me yeah but it's not the me yeah when I think about me I actually thought about that and I've been wondering that familiar thing that you you know there's something I don't know if anyone else has it but I do like something is familiar like it's familiar feels like you it feels like me for all my life yeah you're talking about that yeah you've just been naming it it's a case of misidentification that is actually that's all it is that's all it is that's all it is that's all it is that's all it is that's it that's it so simple we miss it that's it but that also has all this egoic thing don't even put on a badge don't put the word egoic on it it's just another label and because there's no mind where are you you here this thing we call the mind the mind is the me the mind is the past there's no me in the present yeah and there's no mind that familiar thing is is that is that that you've been looking for it's not that it's not that there's no me there's no me in the present there's no mind ego no I thought that's the ego he goes just he goes just another word just words and just thoughts it's not an entity I'm not sure if I actually made up that familiar thing or it's real I don't know who made it up what are you referring to when you say that that familiar thing you know when I think about it just this I can't describe it but there is a feeling about me right no no no I would say there's a feeling about you there's a difference between this is it there's a difference between me and you I'm not talking to the me at all be what complete and absolute waste of time you I'm talking to you that can hear the me can't hear the me can't see that you're singing that you said that's that you that that you're looking for you've just been naming it me your whole life we're conditioned to do that so that me is the one the me is the one is that that's no prior to that is the one but if you really want to look at it that one is also responsible for the other one and that's what I thought about you that's what I thought about you that's what I well I must be had you because I made us responsible for that seeming me and text that's that you know where are you that now the only mistake it's not in a mistake it but I'll give that the only mistake is this we've been going me me is not aware it's not me that's aware of aware of thoughts.

Me is the thoughts. Without the thoughts, me disappears completely, it's gone. In the absence of all thoughts, like amnesia, like a... Right, that is right. That is right. Right. The me disappears. So me is created, if you like, by thoughts. That is the me. And that that is aware of the thoughts is aware of the me, that that that is aware of the me. It can't be the me, because it's aware of the me. That's right. Do you understand? That's the kind of inquiry. That's the kind of looking. Okay. Yeah? Yeah. And it comes from here. We inquire from here, where you can see, where awareness is, where consciousness is.

From here. And then the question is, well, okay, is this that is conscious here now, that is aware, is that me? Yeah. And find out. Just find out. And to find out, all you've got to do is know what the me is. It's simply a pattern of thoughts. So that's the right question? Yeah. The one that is aware, is that me? No. No? No. Did you get it? But the one, the one that is aware is not the me. Oh, the one that is aware is not the me. It's awareness. It's awareness itself. It's awareness. Which we've labelled me mistakenly. That's right. But not real.

What it does is names and claims everything. That's its nature. The nature of the mind is to name and claim, but what's watching that? It's the awareness. See, once you know absolutely what that me is, when you know what it is, how it's produced, how it's created, when you know what it is, the fact that it can't be this and conscious and aware is blatantly obvious. Blatantly obvious. But when you say it's just so obvious, that is just a fiction. It is. And it was beautiful in John 1. In the beginning was the word. What beginning? The beginning of me was the word. That's right.

Yeah. And the word was with God. God's responsible for that. With God. Or that one, that one. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The word was God. The word was God. Speak in. The word became flesh. I am this. We all say that. I am this. I am the body. What is the body? Oh, me. You're fucked. Now we become embodied and I am this. And this is where consciousness arises and awareness arises. I mean it just became obvious that. to me because when I sorry I'm taking so long yeah keep going I was all the time conscious and feeling guilty also it's the same question your question is the same question okay so sorry I forgot what I was saying it must not have been that important when I see it and I actually really look at my experience I realized that I mean obviously it's it's very obvious that I'm not confined in the body because very soon I'll lose that sense of body boundaries so and I mean it just sort of obvious why it doesn't drop I don't know it's just because that I have to work, I think, with what you said, like what I'm not actually.

Yes. Good. And then question, and then question who or what is believing you? Who or what is believing you? Just another thought. Belief is a thought. That's right. Me is here. And the thought will arise. Yeah, and I believe that because, of course, all thoughts, thoughts, thoughts. But the whole thing, if you look at it like it's in an envelope, just an envelope. Sometimes referred to as the mind, but just an envelope. All thoughts are contained in that envelope. And they loop in on each other. And there's stories about stories about stories about stories about stories about stories in the mind. And there'll be a story.

Oh, intellectually, I don't think I'm here, but somehow I believe I am. Says what? Thought. Just thought. But we take it to be me to be the thinker. Me to be the, even the speaker we take to be me. I speak. The me is deaf, dumb, blind, can't see, can't hear. Can't speak. It's not conscious, it's not aware, it can't speak and it can't think. That's amazing. How do we do that identification? Does it happen somewhere in this brain? It's just thoughts. Is it a biological thing? It is amazing. Honestly, is it a biological thing? No, it's not. It's a biological thing. It's a human being.

It's a human being. It's a human being. Identification. It's an energy, right? It's a software in the computer. That's what it does. It takes credit. It's a program. As Terry told you, you learned words. Yeah, but how does it, it's now becoming a real question. Like, how does it? Stay amazed. Stay amazed. Stay amazed. You're grabbing the wrong end of the stick again. Okay, as usual. That's okay. You can't understand it. But the answer to that won't come by mind. No. No answer. No. No. No question. No mind. The answer to that will not come by thought. The answer to that comes when that drops.

Can't change the mind with the mind. And it comes as a knowing, not a thought, not an idea. It's just a knowing. Not a thought. And relating to that me is the cause of all your problems. Yeah. Conflict arises between. So there's a need to resolve any mystery here. Mm. Mm. Conflict arises between me and the other. The alleged me and the other thought, person, place or thing. That's where all conflict arises. The misidentification with the me and then the response. That's where it all arises. Know what you're not. Know what you're not. You don't need to know what you are. You already are. Know what you're not.

That's what I need, what I've been- And that's what- I'm not paying attention to that. That's what we keep missing all the time. And then when we don't look at that, we assume there's a me here, and then there's a me that I don't know about. Yeah. And then we keep missing it all the time. And then when we don't look at that, we assume there's a me here. here that's stuck that's not getting this and it's been on the path for a long time and what am i missing yeah that's because you still haven't fully inquired into what you're not there's an assumption still that there's a me here that needs to go exactly and it never was yeah something needs to go on that go on what yeah everyone has to go me is the personality no that that well no that you need to be careful with that like simple no your cat has personality sorry your cat has personality doesn't it yes the has personality and doesn't have an ego no that's it that's your answer ah beautiful beautiful otherwise people that realize their true nature that'll speak exactly the same and they'd sound exactly the same and they'd say exactly the same and that's not what happens yeah there seems to be varying types of personalities that speak this you know and and also i can tell you bob has absolutely wonderful beautiful personality on all levels yeah and there is no identification with the personality personality is there but there is no misidentification that my essence of what i am is the personality that thought has been questioned and i love the way mitra you answered actually you found the answer in saying wow that's how it happens that's amazing that is as close as you can get to the final truth amazing and be speechless because the moment you start describing it putting it in words you already have the answer and you are already contriving it and moving far away from the truth that wow that's the that's the truth and taken by the thought why yeah taken by that you've gone why anything why is it like why why is an invitation more than mine that's it nothing else come to see what and only that that you are could come to see what you know that's right because now understanding that.

This is what I've been waiting to understand who I am. But there is no way to understand. Can you allow yourself to be as clueless as you are? As clueless? There is no way I understand it. So I don't understand what I'm waiting for. So since you can't understand it anyway, can you just allow yourself to not understand? Good. And I'm just going to plug tomorrow's meeting because we're about to end. Come back tomorrow on Zoom if you want. It's all, the stuff is on his website. 9.30am. 9.30am Melbourne, but if you go to his website for your time zone, you'll know. Yeah. Me has to go.
