Wilson, Vic, Sean, Ava, Lucy, Matt, Jess, Ben, Mukti, Terry, and Simon. Well, we'll go through the spell today. There's a few newings here. The oldies have got sick and tired of hearing it. That's not true. We're still here. Can you hear me? I start off by telling you we can't teach you anything here, and we can't tell you anything. Rasp that drop right from the start. When you realise what we're pointing about, you realise that nobody can ever teach you or tell you anything. And we're just pointing and asking, look to where we're pointing to. And it's not anything new we point to. If you look in all the ancient texts and scriptures, you'll find it's the base of them all, and you go down to the depths of them.

In Hinduism, for instance, they call it non-duality. And they try and describe non-duality by saying it's one without a second. And they put it, that one without a second on, because even the idea of one implies there could be other than one. They're pointing out there's nothing other than that one. You'll see the same thing in all of the other texts, where the Buddhists call it, the great perfection is non-conceptual, ever-fresh presence awareness. Just this, nothing else. The Hebrews, ancient Hebrews said, the Lord thy God is one God. There is none other. No thing other. Christianity says, there is no other. There is none other.

They say it's omnipresence, omnipotence, omniscience, meaning total presence, total power, total intelligence. So, that's, when it says one, that's one, not even one. And the Mahavacca, the great mantra is, I am that. So you see, you must already be that. Always have been and always will be. But we've lost sight of it over the years. And the losing sight of it, they call it ignorance. Not that we're dull or stupid, but we're ignoring our true nature and focusing into the conceptual images we've taken on board and the beliefs we've taken on board. When you investigate them, you'll find they're not the fact. Another statement we say, that the false cannot stand up to investigation.

And innately, you know that in your language. When you investigate something you believe to be real, and you really look into it, and it's not the fact, it'll fall apart under the belief. Another way I'm putting it, I don't talk to anybody. I'm not talking to anybody. I'm not talking to any mind. I'm not talking to that body-mind person you think you are. I'm talking to that I am, that I am. And that I am is the sense of presence, which is translated, that sense of presence is translated through the mind as that prime being. That's the primary thought I am. Just to this, nothing else.

That's basically what we're pointing to. It is the one essence that's expressing, appearing, patterning, shaping, forming as everything. And I mean exactly that. It's all that one essence. Going back to that statement the Hindu's had, sat Chittananda, sat Chittananda is set as existence. Chitta is consciousness. Ananda is bliss or loving to be. Anyone who is not existing right now, now you realize I'm existing, anyone who's not conscious right now, you're not unconscious or unaware, so you must be aware. Anyone who's not happy to be, none of you would want to be dead right now, would you? So you must be happy to be. But we take on this belief we are this person.

And when you look at the word person, where does that come from? Well, question it and investigate it. Persona, a mask, from a Latin, a couple of thousand years ago. So that means we've got this conceptual image, this conceptual mask we've taken ourselves to be. I'm Bob the Australian, the good fella, not so good or unhappy. All based on concepts, past concepts of that. So I'm constantly relating to a dead image. No wonder I can't keep up with life. Life is ever fresh, ever new. And ever free. And like Christ, you'll be able to say, I am the way, I am the truth, I am the life.

And that's what you basically are, without putting any concepts on that you're this body-mind persona. And innately, you know you're not the body. And you're not the mind. Because don't you say my body, my mind. Don't you also say my coat, my car, my house. You know you're not the coat, or the car, or the house. Maybe you're not the body either. Investigate it and see. When you look at this body, what's this body made up of? You'll realise this body's made up of elements. Air, earth, fire, water, space. Just like the elements around you. Alright, if you think you're separate, and apart from those elements, try and separate yourself.

Stop breathing. See how long you last without the air. Stop... Drinking water. Yes, stop drinking water. Your body's 80% water. Take the fire, the body temperature. Soon get hypothermia, and it wouldn't last long. Try and get off the earth. You can't separate yourself from the earth. Get out of space. Try and separate yourself from space. When you investigate, you'll see you're really not separate from any of these things. What about this thing called mind? And again you say, my mind. And you call that mind, my self. And all the scriptures will tell you there's only one self. Not a personal self, there's one self. And it's not my self.

The very word, the fact of saying it's my self, you realise that self belongs to something other than me. Like the body. That's my car, my self. But it's all that self, that self-awareness. It's the self-shining, ever-fresh, presence-awareness. Just this, nothing else. And you can't be anything other than that. That's the great mantra, I am that, this is that, everything is that. Innately you know that also in your language. Because you say that's the chair, that's the carpet, that's the mirror, that's the wall, that's the tree, that's the flower, that's so and so, that's so and... Everything is that which we put labels. Or words on, names.

So Sat-Shita-Nanda and the other two factors of that is Nama-Rupa. Name and form. Nama is the name, Rupa is the form. The name is what you put on this form, the body, mind, in which this life essence is expressing through. And they tell you that the Nama-Rupa are Maya. They're illusion. Just call it a phenomenal manifestation. And this definition of phenomena, if you look in the dictionary, the definition of phenomena is that which appears to be. So all this manifestation, including you, me and everything else, is appearance only. It's only seemingly so. And when you look into it, can you find any static point in that body anywhere, or anywhere else in nature?

And you can put any boundaries on it. But we put the boundaries on it with the word. And you've got to understand this, that every word you have ever spoken, ever likely to speak, has been learned. Picked up along the way. You were not born with any words. And you didn't learn any words until you were about two, two and a half. And look back on that. And you'll ask you, when did you begin? You'll say, I began at birth. But can anyone actually remember your birth? You can't. You don't remember anything if you look back on it until you're about two, two and a half.

Might have been a bit earlier or a bit later. Some of you are smarter than somebody else. But you've got to remember that every word has been picked up along the way. And there's no word that is a thing. Take the word water. Try and drink the word. Swim in the word. Wash in the word. See, you can't drown in the word. You can't. Take the word fire. Cook in the word, with the word. Eat yourself with the word. Burn yourself with the word. You can't. So what's this word, me? Just a word. Just a label. Nothing else is a label. And if you went into the mines and bought a dress or a shirt, and came out with a label, you wouldn't be too happy.

You'd want the thing. Well, do the same with this. See, look at the, instead of looking at the words, grasp the thing. Grasp the actuality that you are. You can't negate your beingness. And if you look into that, you call, if you believe in a God, you'll call God a supreme being. And you'll call yourself a human being. And that's one of the worst things we can put up with. After all, I'm only human. You hear that whinge going up many times. Call God a supreme being, you call yourself a human being. Take the label human off. Take the label supreme off. Try and separate the beingness in this room.

And you'll say, that's being a chair, that's being you, it's being me, it's being everything else in the room. It's being the wall and the same outside. There's only the one beingness, which has been divided and conceptualised and broke up into words, labels. And that's what this persona, or mask, we put it on ourselves, words. Well, look into it a little bit further. When were you born? Well, go back as far as your father and your mother. Look, and you can go back as far as you like if you like to investigate it further. That animating life essence of pattern, shape and form, for your father, through the essence of the food he was eating and the prana, the chi, the air, enabled in that pattern a little microscopic particle called a human being.

It was a sperm to form. You can't see it with your naked eye. But that sperm was suffused with innate intelligence. It knew what to do. The same in your mother, that animating life essence of pattern, shape and form, enabled in that pattern another little microscopic particle called an egg or an ovum to form. That ovum was suffused with intelligence. It knew what to do. It attached itself to the wall of the uterus. And the sperm knew what to do. It swam to the ovum. It had the capacity of swimming. Again, it wasn't just a blob of goo. It knew what to do. It was suffused with that intelligence.

And when those two came together, what happened? That intelligence endogenome doubled that cell, doubled it again, and the little embryo, the little fetus began to form. What were you doing about it then? Because that is what you are today. What were you doing about it then if you think you're right on the show? You weren't able to do anything. It was growing. It grew your hands, your heart, your lungs, your ears, your mouth. Everything has grown. And it's grown from there on, from the little embryo to the so-called I can't call you a person, that you are today. It's the living, breathing, and beating your heart, and doing everything.

It's that same essence. And that is what you are. And that little child didn't have any words for the first couple of years of his life. But it got along all right. It was hearing, seeing, tasting, touching, smelling. It was hungry, it was crying, it was having a gurgle. But it didn't have any words. And while you were in the womb, you didn't have any words because the brain wasn't even formed then. So you see, you're a little bit more than this pattern of energy, this person you think you are today. That's how we've come to believe we are that pattern of person and lost sight of our true nature, our actuality.

And as I say, at about the age of two, when you're a little bit old enough, parents fussing you around, you start speaking. And so your little Johnny, or your little Billy, or so and so, you're this, that, you're a good person. Or you're unhappy, don't do this or don't do that. And you learn words like I or me. And that intelligence that you are recognises and starts to read. I starts to reason. The capacity of reasoning develops in you then. And this capacity of reasoning is a capacity that's more developed in humans than what it is in other animals, birds and insects. They have different capacities, some of which are more developed than what our capacity of reasoning is.

A bird, for instance, has a capacity of eyesight that's much better than yours or mine. It has the capacity of flying. We can't do that. But through the capacity of reasoning, we've learned to build ourselves eyeglasses, telescopes or binoculars if our eyes are failing, helicopters, balloons and kites and things like that that enable us to fly. A chameleon can change colour. That's a capacity of changing colour. We can't do that. A dog has a sense of smell that's much greater than yours or mine ever be. Different capacities all the time. A grub will form a cocoon around it and a little cocoon in that will hatch out and out of that will come a beautiful butterfly or moth with all those colours and everything.

A peafowl's egg is just the same as any other egg. It's got a yolk and a white in it. Eat a bit of energy into it and what happens? Out of that can come all the beautiful colours of a peacock. So you see the wondrous, amazing intelligence in all these things. But we have taken ourselves to be this person and we start to reason when we learn with that capacity of reasoning. I am little Johnny. This is me. This is I. So we've already put the boundaries on us, on ourselves, the limitations on ourselves. And I look out there and I reason, that doesn't fit little Johnny.

So that's not my, he, I. That's not me. And as soon as that sense comes about, we feel separate from it. And with the separate, sense of separation comes insecurity and vulnerability. From that time on, that's when our search starts because we take on this idea we're insecure. We're insecure and vulnerable. And then we're searching for security, for wholeness and completeness. And our parents, school, society and everybody else tells you you've got to acquire, amass, add to, accumulate better education, more wealth, good relationship, big house, good car, acquire that and that will make you whole or complete. And they don't tell you. All you've got to do is rid yourself of all these conceptual evidence.

All these conceptual images we've taken on board. Which there have been people down through the ages that have done this. And recognise that to nature. And that's what the great religions and traditions are formed around because they've only been able to pass it on to a few. And in those ways of communication in the old days there would be only a few in a village, one or two in a village might hear about it, pass it on to somebody else. And then they work further on, they pass it on. People will have their own culture. They'll have their own concepts to it and put all these other rules and regulations on it.

So the way they're like today. It's a racine, you're this, that and the other. They put all these concepts on it and ideas. These things need to be looked at and seen. You can't do much with I or me. So we learn I or me. So what we've done, we've put these concepts and ideas with what Hemsworth told us on us. I am Bob. I'm an Australian. I'm a goodseller. I've had a bad childhood. I'm unhappy. I'm depressed. I'm not good enough or I'm fearful. I've got low self-esteem. Put all these concepts on ourselves and taken the concepts or words to be real. When we pointed out the word water is not the word, the word fire is not the word, the word's not the real.

We've got this conceptual image and this image is based on past events, conditions and experiences. So you see why we're having all these problems with life? We can't keep up with life. We can't keep up with life when we're living from behind the eight ball from the past. Living totally in the past. What are you right now without a thought? Pause the thought and ask yourself what is wrong with right now without a thought? What can you say about it? You can't say it's good, bad, pleasant, painful, anything at all without the concept. And when you look at this thing called mind, you can't say you are this mind, body.

Because you see the body. If you are this mind, then you'll say my mind. And you call this mind myself. Now if you believe you are this mind, show me your mind. What do you say mind is? And you've been labelling it my mind all the time. Can you give it a shape? Can you give it a form? Can you give it anything at all? We've been labelling under conceptual image. All the mind is based on thought. What is thought? Thoughts are concepts. What are concepts? Mental constructs. And mental constructs, what is mind? Mind is thought. Thought is word. Word is sound. What's sound? Sound is a vibration.

And a vibration is a movement of energy. So the body can be broken down into subatomic patterns into energy. And the mind can be broken down into energy. And all this manifestation can be broken down. Into energy. That's where I use the term intelligence energy. I don't believe, talk about a God because you can get confused with that term. Purely and simply, when I was talking about God, you take it to whatever your conceptual image or belief in God is and you wouldn't miss out on what was being pointed to here. Because we've all got different concepts of God. Hebrews called it, Here is our Israel, O Lord, thy God is one God, there is nothing other.

The Muslims call it, there is no God but God. Werner is his name, that's the label of it. The Buddhists call it, you know. What is it? Non-conceptual awareness. Non-conceptual awareness. Everybody, and Hindus have got a thousand names of Vishnu, and there are a thousand different names of God. Christians call it omnipresence, omnipotence, omniscience, total presence, total power. Not mind power, not thought power, not higher power, not God power, not lower power, but total power. The one power that's fathoming, shaping, forming, expressing as everything. These are the things we've got to look at. There's many metaphors to point this out. But relief is not the actual.

I ask you to go down to the ocean, I'll say, get me a bucket of blue sea, blue water out of the sea. You'd say, don't be stupid. He goes, you know, the sea's not blue, it never was blue, it never will be blue, but it appears to be blue. The water in the mirage. Driving along the road, you see a pool of water up ahead, you drive up to it, it disappears. When was there ever any water there? There never was. People stood on the shore years ago, looked at where the sea and the sky met, they would say, don't go out there, you'll fall off the edge of the earth.

Who would believe it today? Because it's been investigated and recognised, it's not the edge of the earth. The snake and the rope, the old one, they talk about the snake and the rope. The fellow steps out of his rim, on his... rim into the... into the... of a dark night, and he steps on a... it's been raining outside, he steps on a wet piece of rope, it rolls under his feet, and he thought, shit, I've just got on a snake. And the hair stands on end, the goose pibbles come up, and the fear and trembling happens, and he's shivering and shaking, and imagining what all sorts of things are going to happen.

The fellow comes out and shines a torch, look, it's only a piece of wet rope. The immediate sense of relief. But the fear and the trembling don't die down straight away. And that's what happens with us. These things stay around with us. The belief in Santa Claus. You know, everybody believes in Santa Claus when they're a little kid. Who would believe it today? Yet we still make up the idea of Santa Claus because the kid's got some pleasure out of it, and we'll get some pleasure out of it. But we know the truth about it. And you're free of the belief. That's the old scriptural saying, know the truth and the truth will set you free.

Now look at this thing you call mind, and see how it functions. And you'll see it's always functioning in the interrelated pairs of opposites. You're either in the past, which is memory, or the future, which is anticipation, imagination. It's always vibrating somewhere within that range. It's either good or bad, pleasant or painful, happy, sad, loving, hating, positive or negative. Watch your mind and see if it functions any other way than in the interrelated opposites. So it's vibrating dualistically. And the boundaries we put upon it are the words, good, bad, pleasant, painful. So we've concaged ourselves in a conceptual image of words. I am Bob, I'm so and so, haven't got any further than that.

I'm good or bad, haven't got any further. And we won't because we're not encapsulated in words. You are not the word. The word is not the thing. You are the thing. You are the thing. You are the thing. You are the thing. You are the thing. You are that essence, the pure intelligence energy. As I say, I use the term intelligence energy. When I'm talking about intelligence, I'm not talking about your intellect, because a lot of intellects are superior to mine. And that's true. Some might be so good. There are all sorts of different intellects. I'm talking about look out there in nature. And you'll see in nature the sun is rolling around the earth.

The earth is rolling around the sun. The seeds are coming. The trees are coming. The trees are going. The tides are coming in and out. Planets are forming and imploding and exploding. There are tsunamis and volcanoes exploding on the earth. Ice ages are happening. Climate climate. All these things are happening. And it's seeming, it's implying innate intelligence is forming, shaping and patterning all these things to happen. You are no different from nature. Don't get the idea you're separate or apart. You are no different from nature. And it's that same intelligence that's rolling the earth around the sun is breathing you right now. It's beating your heart.

It's growing your hair and your fingernails. It's digesting your food. It's replacing cells in your body. What are you doing about any of those things? If you think you're running the show as a person, you'd be saying, I've got to take this next breath. I've got to beat my heart. I've got to do this. You're not saying anything about it. It's happening naturally, effortlessly and spontaneously by that life essence that you are. And you've moved away that and taken the stance as, I am this individual. I am this person. Separate yourself from the very life essence yourself that you are. How does that work in this?

Well, we form this conceptual image that I am so and so. That becomes the reference point, the self-centre or the ego. They're told that the ego is the cause of all your problems. And that's the fact that you don't. They tell you that this ego is a fiction. Some of the scriptures, the proper ones will tell you that. This ego doesn't exist. They tell you always to try and sublimate it, put it under the carpet, kill it, stamp on it, do this and that with it. But it doesn't happen. Because you're trying to kill something that's not there in the first place. A little bit of investigating, you'll see it's a fiction.

It never was there, it never will be. The self-centre or the reference point or the ego. All the one thing. How does it work? You're seeing right now and you're hearing right now. Everybody is seeing, everybody is hearing. And something comes up and I like it. How do you know? Well, I've had this experience before, it's good. Pleasant, I like this one. And I got this wife or girlfriend or boyfriend or loved this, I loved that. All these things I like, they're good. And naturally, we want to keep the things we like. We don't want them to change. We don't want to go not realising that everything in this manifestation is transient.

It's constantly changing. You mightn't realise that, but that body you walked in the room with is not the same body you walked in the room with. There are hundreds of thousands of cells dying right in this moment and being replaced. So it's not the same body. And you look back on it two or three years or four or five years ago and you'll see it's not the same body. It's not the same body you had as a little baby. So you mightn't realise it in this present moment. It's transient, because it is, it's transient. So something comes up and I like it, not realising, no matter how much you love them, how much you want to keep them there, or want to hang on to them, it's going to change anyway.

But we don't want it to go. We want to keep it there. So what do we do? We resist it. Try and cling to it and make it, keep it there, whichever way we can. And don't you realise that any resistance you are in, you are in conflict. And any conflict you are in makes you uneasy, unhappy, fearful, anxious, depressed. Another word for that unhappiness, fear, distress, is uneasiness. What is unhappiness? Uneasiness is disease. So it's resistance, conflict and disease going on in you all the time. The other way, something comes up I don't like. I don't want this. I don't want anything like this.

I don't want this. What do we do? We try and get rid of it. By... Trying to force it out, get rid of it. Resisting it from being there. So resisting it again, and more conflict and more disease. Whichever way we go looking for the answer in the mind will be resistance, conflict and disease. And Wei Wei Wu told you a couple of hundred years ago, well, it wasn't so long ago, he was quite right, why are you unhappy? Because everything you say, everything you think and everything you do is for yourself. And he said there isn't one. And when you look at it, there isn't self.

It's the one self that's appearing, patterning, shape and following. Appearing is everything. It's not this personal self that we've come to believe through listening to our teachers, our schools and society, our friends around us and reinforcing it ourself. Once we've taken the belief it's there. We're constantly reinforcing it day in, day out. Something comes up and I like it and resist it. And so resist it. Something comes up I don't like it, resist it. So this conflict is constantly going on. So I need to investigate that and see if this ego that I believe myself to be this conceptual image is right. And we ask you to look along these lines.

Everybody is seeing right now and everybody is hearing right now. Isn't that a fact? When you opened your eyes this morning, did you say, I'm going to start seeing now? You didn't. The seeing was there immediately and you mightn't realise that it's the same seeing that we had when you opened your eyes. It's there now, it was there yesterday, there last week, as far back as you can remember. It's the same seeing. The seeing hasn't changed. But the concepts have changed. The different concepts we've had about the content of seeing has changed. When you woke up in the bedroom this morning, the content of seeing was different.

And coming here, the content along the way was different. The content in this room was different and constantly changing. So the seeing is the same seeing. The hearing you've had all the time. Just like the breathing, the heart beating and all the rest of it, it's the same. But the content is changing. The hearing. Woke up this morning, the hearing was there and somebody had called you loudly in deep sleep. The hearing wasn't too far away. You woke up and they'd heard it. You mightn't realise it's the same hearing you had because you think the hearing's changed. But the hearing is not changing, it's the content's changing.

So the seeing and the hearing are happening. Investigate it a little bit further. Does my eye, I'm seeing through the eye, but does my eye tell me I see? Well, does yours? My eye's not saying, look at this, Bob. Look at that, or that's good or that's bad. It can't say anything at all. But it is the instrument through which the seeing is happening. And that instrument is translated by the thought, I see. The thinking, the capacity of thinking is translating the actual seeing into the thought, I see. But see, it's not a pure seeing anymore because that I see is what put all these concepts on it.

Me, Bob, the Australian, the good fella, the bad fella, thinks it has the capacity of seeing. A conceptual image now thinks it has the capacity of seeing. The same with the hearing. My ear's not saying, listen to this, listen to that, but it is the instrument with which the hearing is happening. And it's translated by the thought, I hear. So the seeing is happening, the hearing's happening, and it's translated by the thought. It's not a pure seeing or a pure hearing anymore. I ask myself and investigate a little bit further. The eye doesn't tell me, I see. The seeing's happening through the eye. It's translated with the thought, I see.

But can the thought, I see, actually see? Shut your eyes and look around the room and see for yourself what you can see in this room with your eyes closed. Otherwise you can't see any of the actual things in the room or the people in this room with your eyes closed. So the thought, I see. The thought can say, I see. I see, I see, I see, with your eyes closed as much as you like. But you still won't see anything. So the thought, I see, cannot see. Muffle your ears. Put your hands over your ears. The thought, I hear. Can the thought, I hear, actually hear?

With your ears muffled up, you realise the thought cannot hear anything. The thought, I see, can't see. The thought, I hear, can't hear. Anybody who is unaware right now, realise, no, I'm not unaware. So if you're not unaware, you must be aware, mustn't you? You're not unconscious, you must be conscious. So you didn't have to find something you call consciousness and latch onto it or something you call awareness. Realise it's there all the time. The consciousness disappears when you sleep. The awareness, certainly, disappears when you sleep. But that awareness or life essence is keeping the body going while you're asleep, when you're dreaming, when you're eating, when you're doing everything.

So the thought, I see, can't see. The thought, I hear, can't hear. The thought, I'm aware, is not your awareness. The thought, I choose. That's the one we've taken on board. We think we choose our thoughts. But why would you ever have an unhappy, a miserable, an anxious or a fearful thought? Do you choose to be that way? You certainly don't. And tell me what your next thought's going to be. You can't tell me what your next thought's going to be. Thoughts arise, thoughts come up. So there's no choosing of a thought. But the belief that we choose thoughts is there. It all comes down to this belief.

And I point out before, the belief's not the actual. The definition of belief is an unquestioned acceptance of something in the absence of reason. We haven't reasoned it out. We've taken it for granted. Acceptance of an alleged fact without positive knowledge or proof. So you see, all this ego is is a conceptual image made up of thoughts. It has no substance, no existence, no independent nature. If you're not relating to an ego, what boundaries are you putting on yourself? Because when you put the image on, oh, after all, I'm only human, or I can't do that, or I'm not good enough, or I'm fearful, or I'm unhappy, what about recognising I am that?

I am that totality. I am that reality. And discard the thoughts. Let them be. And see what comes up. What will come up as a thought, a feeling, an emotion or an activity of itself. See what life, what it's made of itself, enables you to do. And realise as it's grown you all through all this time, as it's lived you all this time, it's still living you. But you take the boundaries and labels off. Instead of trying to become something, becoming will never be being. Being will never be becoming. Becoming implies a future time. And time itself is a mental concept. If you ask yourself, is there a past?

If I don't think about it, pause the thought, can you say there's a past without a thought? You can't. Can you say there's a future without a thought? But you'll say I was in the past. I'll say try and actually live yesterday. Try and actually live last week or a moment ago. You can't. You can recall a past. But the actuality of recalling it is what you're recalling it right now. Because no one in this room can tell you what you thought a minute ago unless you're recalling it. It's already gone. And you can anticipate and imagine a future. Because you can't live a moment in the future.

And while you're anticipating, imagine what you're going to do when you leave here or what you're going to say next or think next or try to work it out in the mind. It'll be in the future. That future will be right in this moment. So you're told to try and stay in the now. I'll tell you, try and get out of it. Try and get out of this now, you see. And try and grasp this now. Right. And as soon as I'm saying that, that now has already moved away. It's gone. Got to grasp it again and grasp it again. So it's always a spontaneous, a natural spontaneous activity, which we put the label time on.

Time, you come to recognise time as a mental concept. Concept. And people put time on this earth. Oh, the Big Bang was a couple of million, a thousand years ago. That's when it all began. But anything with a beginning has to have an end. No matter how many million light years you put on its way. If it began, it's going to have an end. And to say when does now begin, beginning right now, when is it ending, right now, it's spontaneous. Spontaneity is eternity. Because it's not time-bound, it's beyond time. Beginningless, endless, timeless, spaceless. It's not time-bound. It's beyond when, where, how or why or what for.

So you already are the eternity, but we've lost sight of it and missed it. We believe we are this person, this body, mind, going to become or realise something. Now, you've searched for many years or you wouldn't be here. Why haven't you found it? Earnestly and sincerely, you've learnt it. You've gone to the satsang, you've read this book, this guru, whatever, repeated this mantra, and you've never found the answer. Now that you've got close to it, you've got... Why? Because you're trying to find the answer in the mind. And the answer is not in the mind. That's what the ancients will tell you. You won't find the answer in the mind.

Because they call it the peace which passes all understanding. It can't be understood with the mind. The peace is when the mind is not. So that's when you come and recognise yourself. Instead of trying to acquire and become something, we've wasted so many years on it. Discard. Discard what is not necessary. Drop off all the conceptual images and ideas. Be with the actuality of this is-ness right now. What is coming up spontaneously and is right in this moment, and is this, which is constantly changing. That's where you'll find the peace and the great release and relief in it. And all the conceptual ideas we're reinforcing constantly start to drop off.

You know. Use the analogy of the sun and the cloud. You go outside on a cloudy day, you don't see the sun. Would you say the sun's not in the sky? You certainly wouldn't because you've investigated. And you know the sun never leaves the sky. But then if you investigate, you say, what... and you realise that the sun itself doesn't know anything about the cloud. Because the vastness of the sun is so vast and the clouds are infinitesimal. They cover them. There'll always be... A lot of the sun is not clouded, but the clarity is. And other parts will be obscured by the sun. But then question that, what forms the cloud?

And you'll see the sun itself forms the cloud. Now, the sun doesn't know anything about the cloud. Yet it forms the cloud. How does it do that? The radiance of the sun evaporates water. It's as simple as that. The water rises and it condenses. It cools down by the sun again. It cools down and forms a cloud. It'll cool down a little bit further and come down as rain or it'll disperse or come down as ice or snow. But the sun has formed all these things. And these things have appeared, played around and disappeared. That's the same that's going on with us. That radiance of the sun, that light of life that's living you and expressing true, is forming thoughts, feelings, emotions and opinions.

These thoughts, feelings, emotions, opinions are clouding the clarity of being. And we get lost in that. But haven't any of you had taste of this? Hasn't there been a clarity there? When everything's all right, everything's been? You've had taste of it all through your life. Just as the same as all the suns, always having recognition of itself. And when the cloud's dispersed, there's always more clarity there. And that's what happens here. The more thoughts are let go or recognised or seen through, the more clarity will be. And in that clarity, there's a peace, there's a joyousness. There's a sense of well-being. Being well. As Nisargadatta put it, or I can put it negatively, there is nothing wrong anymore.

And Shakespeare told you that a few hundred years ago. And he says, there's nothing either right or wrong, but thinking makes it so. He's given you the answer right there and then. Thinking makes it so. And Nisargadatta tells you the same thing when he says, nothing can trouble you, excepting your own imagination. Break that word imagination down to image in. Imagine. And realise that's all we're doing. We're creating mental or conceptual images. Putting the energy of belief into it and making them real. Like that mirror on the wall behind you. Have a look at it. What is it? You'll see it's full of reflections. You can't say those reflections are not there.

They're there, but go up and try and grab a reflection out of the mirror. All you'll do is grab the glass. So you can't say they're not there, but you can't say they are there. A reflection is like an image in the mirror. And all these conceptual images you're creating in your mind are like those reflections in the mirror. They have no actuality or reality whatsoever. But we've bound ourselves into them. So go along the lines we point to and see for yourself. If it resonates with you, that means there's something innately within you that's already recognised it. And that's what the Buddha put up.

They call it a cognising emptiness. An emptiness with the capacity of cognising. Not that we are cognising the emptiness, but the emptiness has that capacity itself. Because the trees, the space, the sky, the sun, and all these things out there are playing that cognising, that knowingness of the night intelligence. He calls it a cognising emptiness. He made the statement there and then that emptiness is form. Pointing out it is these emptinesses, patterning, shaping, forming, expressing all these things in the manifestation, including you, me and everything else. And he turned it around the other way and said the form can be nothing other than the emptiness.

So all these patterns, shapes and forms that we believe ourselves are nothing but this emptiness. The words are empty. This body is empty, which we broke it down before. The cells are empty. All vibrating, the trees, the flowers, everything out there is that cognising emptiness. That's what one of the Buddhist monks said, you know, when he talked about it. He said that stone, leaning with his back up against the root. He said that rock I'm leaning against, this is transparent. People thought he's great, he's seen the rock clear through the rock. He wasn't saying that, but he knew what the rock was. The rock is transported.

And so is everything else. But we've taken our take on a lot of these things we've heard, taken them in a real follow up, followed the wrong trail. Put this to the test. The acid test, if anything, is does it work? Try it out. If it doesn't work, give it away. Don't hang around with it. But you've been seeking for five, 10, 15, 20 years, and never found it. And if you've found the right answer in the mind, what would that tell you? Well, it's told me eventually, maybe I've been looking in the wrong direction. All my looking has always been in the mind. And isn't that so?

You'll find it in this, you'll find it in that. Maybe I've been looking in the wrong direction. Then I've asked myself, what way is there out of the mind? Well, there's only one way out of the mind. Whichever way you look will always be in the mind. The only way out of the mind Just don't go there. Pause the thought. And you can't pause the thought for very long. But it will naturally pause when you give up the looking for the answer in the mind. Try and look beyond it. What's there without it? So that's all we point to and ask you to look and see for yourself.

If you don't like it, don't waste any more time with it. If you do, question, come back and have another look or... test yourself out on it. Question. Don't hesitate to answer any questions here and now. People here have understood it. And they might put it in a few different words. And some of you are just getting along, starting to recognise it in different ways, shutters and forms. But it's up to you now. It's all yours. Get into it. When does now begin? Eternity is beginningless and endless, isn't it? It's not time to say, I'm not time bound. That's the definition of eternity. That which is beginningless, endless, timeless, spaceless, bodiless, mindless.

So, if time... When does time... When you take time, time has a beginning, doesn't it? You believe it's beginning right now. And it has an ending with the change that comes about it. It's duration. For me to get to the end of the room, it would be duration, wouldn't it? Seemingly time. So it's seemingly time. But to put any label... And the Earth rolling around the Sun, it's not saying it's morning or it's night, you know? But not putting any label of duration onto it, like time. It's just as it is. Where it is, as it is, what it is. And in the immediacy of the moment.

Another easy way that Bob often uses to point at the time and the absence of time is, if you think, unless you think of yesterday, yesterday dinners or whatever, does it exist? Does the time exist? Does the past exist in any other way than in present, as a present memory? So it doesn't really have any substance or any existence. It's not an objective thing, like nobody can ever find any past event. They can find the trace of it, but only in the present moment. And same in future, same with future. The future is just imagination. But that imagination also happens presently, in the head. It doesn't have existence apart from the conceptual realm or imagination.

So the time is really constructed by the mind, just like the image is constructed by the mind. Without the image, and if I'm separate, if I'm an image, I'm something less than totality, I'm mortal. And if I'm mortal, I want time. I want future to ensure my existence, my continuity. But I am not the person, and there is no future. It's always that present moment that is what's happening, unless I put the overlay of the imagination on top of it, and I imagine myself to be that actor, that central figure in the movie, about my life story. And then I want to have that past for the reference point, for existence, for my own.

And then I want to have that substance and the future for continuity. So, yeah, I guess it makes sense that there would be experientially undone, but space and perception, colors or whatever, doesn't exist in the mind. But the experience of time, even if it's very, very subtle, appears to be always there. I can intellectually understand that time doesn't exist, but the experience is that it's always there. It's transient, that's why. It's constantly changing. Now, can you put a static point on change? But is it really experience of time? Because if you don't label it time, what's the experience? As Bob says, the experience may be on change or flow, but experience is always that of being.

But now the concept comes, yeah, but this being, it's lasting and that's already the computing going on, on top. That's already interpretation of the pure experience. Yeah. The pure experience doesn't really have any time. Yeah. Yeah, it's draped up this millisecond. Yeah. This is very, very controversial. A couple of different theories floating around out there at the moment, the creationist theory. Yeah. I don't know, everything came into being a few thousand years ago. And then you've got Darwinism. Yeah. That everything has evolved over a period of time. Whereas in reality, there is no such thing as time. Everything is bursting into presence right here, right now.

And then the mind gets a hold of that, that it sees and divides. It just does that. Yeah. If there's no, if there's no thinking going on at all, just come on. It's a complete absence. Time doesn't exist. So time is purely a concept. So everything is just bursting into presence spontaneously right here, right now. What the mind will do, it'll go, yeah, but you know, we found dinosaur fossils, which means that 65 of 65 odd million years ago or more, there were dinosaurs walking around on the planet. 00, you know, the Behelom Nebula,上面. It falls under the table there, you know? Just imagined. Which is core of human physics or theula or data.

Structural property, regions or material. So there's no, there's no thought of vitality, which means nothing. There's nothing, if not any, that's as simple as there isn't Machu Picchu data. Anyway, this material gonna go on on the üstode, and when people shout quasi dogmas and call the Earth a beast, it's going to grow up. Exactly. Is life. And it doesn't fuel it. Right? Exactly. Maya is constructed by the mind, from the mind starting from the time when we learned labels like Bob says when we learn words and we start labeling things out of existence as things, as separate things. That's how the computer works also, that it actually sees things surrounded by no things, hears sounds surrounded by silence.

That's how the whole manifestation could be visible and experienceable. It's like the consciousness dreams itself a body and then dreams itself a world. But this is not then, it's not prior and next, it's just happening now. And it happens on many levels. First, the level of perception, how the eye interprets things that it sees, the computer interprets, makes sense out of the objects. How the memory participates in giving it a sense. A label, recognizing it as a thing from the past that already brings up the past into the present experience. And of course, because it's totally unconceivable to see everything at once, it makes a story, it segregates it, it puts out the line and puts every event on line because this way it can create more and more.

Look how every thought creates more and more of an events. Like what Terry says, the dinosaurs. The fossil fuels, whatever. Suddenly we have creation or imagination of the world 65 million years ago and the creatures. So it gives such a potential for creativity for the consciousness. Suddenly that awareness of consciousness or God or whatever has the channel to create more and more of reflections of itself. More and more of that amazing creativity. Just people in the world. And. . . Creating forms of emptiness and the stories and they all become, they all believed into existence. They all real. It's an exquisite show. It's amazing, amazing manifestation.

But it is constructed, it's totally constructed by the mind. Because when the mind, when the interpretation switches off for a moment, it's just this moment. It's just this moment now. And then it backfires. And then itかvers торьs every time it's art. It's a contest, it's still a festival because it's happening. Because, having that magnificent diversity and intensity and complexity of everything is beautiful. But at the same time, it applies also to one self. And it starts translating everything is relevant to me. How the dinosaurs are relevant to me. Oh, I have body lotion. That's made of them. Or any other things translate us. Yeah. And it's over sondern Games have a set of things, many of which I should still love and truly do.

Or, you know, that the self-center spins around and makes everything relevant. And that creates suffering. god will battle now. которой that you guys should just shine the lamp and don't try to film all these ideas. And that's a great quote. I hope you enjoyed that. so seeing that world and knowing it is a dream it is constructed just the way it is constructed when you sleep and you dream about different places that world constructed by the mind creates places, people and events that you encounter in the dream and respond to that's beauty, but knowing it is a dream takes the suffering out of it but taking it as as everyone does, seriously and there's nothing wrong about it, that's a part of the dream that's how the consciousness wants to experience itself because it can't experience itself in any other way than us as seeming other like how the totality can be aware of itself it can't, it just can't because it is itself so it dreams to be the other, it dreams to be something else than itself, than totality it dreams itself a body, it dreams itself a sense of separation because it can't really happen because it is the totality it can only do it in the dream and now we are witnessing that magnificent dream and we can have a glimpse, the moment what's wrong with right now, if you don't think about it pausing your thought and seeing everything as it is seeing as mind labels and recognizes things seeing how the world spins into existence for a moment just to know that it is all constructed and present moment that you can say is from the past because where is it being presented?

right here it's only the mind that then concocts a story if we used the fossils it's the mind that then concocts a story are you going to use what are they called? carbon dating and we go oh yeah that's successful or 200 million years old, it concocts. But you can't ever actually bring anything from the past into the present and say, here's the past. It's literally not possible because everything presents itself in the present, presently. Constantly presenting itself in the present, which is in answer to spontaneity. And no such thing as time. There is no such thing as time. Everything is always, for us, is experienced presently.

Always. The only time we decide things aren't being experienced presently is when we go into our head, into the imagination, and go into the story. Whatever the story is telling us. About dinosaurs or about self. About self. About self. About me. Like this kind of childhood, and this happened to me, and woe is me, or whatever the story is. But none of that, whatever the story is, is happening right here, right now. Do a reality check. Do a reality check. Always do a reality check. Whatever the head is telling you, just pause for a moment and look around the room. Wherever it is that you are, look around and ask yourself, is there anything?

Is there anything wrong with this moment? 99% of the time, unless you've just had a car accident, but even then, when you've had that car accident, a split second later, that's over. It's over. 99% of the time, you will find everything is perfectly okay. Perfectly okay. Yet, when we go in here, which is where we all live, we live in here. Hardly any of us live out here. Hardly any of us live out here. It's extraordinary. When we go in there, disaster, stories. Where do you want to live? Seriously. Seriously. Would you rather live in your dream when you sleep on your bed at night?

Would you just rather permanently stay in there and live in there, or would you rather wake up from that and be here, and live here? here. Because what goes on here is this, Kat was just touching on it, this is often referred to as the waking dream. What that means is this body's moving around in present time doing stuff and doing things and so on and so forth. And then there's this dream that goes on in here and we live in there throughout the course of the day, missing every single moment, every single presenceness, every single nowness. Because the attention's in there. And we kind of vaguely, like really vaguely see this reality, see what's actually going on here.

Unless we get a shock. A guy up on the roof, he's a carpenter and he's putting, you know, he's... I'm not a carpenter, he's nailing bits of wood together for a roof, okay? And he's been doing it for 30 years, so he knows it inside out, back to front. He can do it on automatic, doesn't even have to be there as such, yeah, to be doing it. A bit like when you drive a car sometimes, yeah? And he's on the roof and he's nailing away, building this roof. And but what's going on in his head? Last night, his wife comes to him and says, you know, I'm going to go and get a new car.

And he says, you know, I'm going to go and get a new car. And she says, I've been having sex with the neighbour. Yeah? Can you imagine what's going on in his head? Like in all seriousness. They've got three kids, they've got three kids all under six years of age, yeah? And his wife has just said to him last night, I'm banging the neighbour. Can you imagine? Yeah? So he's up on the roof and he's nailing away and he's got this stuff going on. And he's not at all present in regards to what he's doing because it pretty much happens automatically anyway, yeah? And he's hammering away and then he goes bang and smashes his thumb.

Like really splatters his thumb because he's hitting those nails a hell of a lot harder than he would normally hit them. Yeah? He's pissed, yeah? He smashes his thumb, you know? Where is he in that exact moment that he smashes his thumb? And what happens to the story that was going on in his head in that particular precise moment? Bang! Where is he then? Right here. Totally and completely right here. But unfortunately, split second later, he'll dive straight back into there and he'll add to the story and go, you bitch, now look what you've made me do. Yeah? But it's a shift. A smash on, I'm not suggesting anyone smash their thumb.

I'm not. It's a pointer. He's smashing his thumb. The story stops. Completely, completely stops. And for a moment, he's back here. Right here, right now, in this present moment. No such thing as time. It's just wow! The thumb. Bang! Here. And a split second later, yeah? Now look what you've made me do. And there's more fuel. And that's because we're living in here. And that doesn't mean it doesn't have to happen. Just ordinarily, ordinary daily living. It doesn't have to be traumas or dramas as serious as that going on. Just your normal everyday living. Walking around feeling like you've got low self-esteem. Walking around feeling a bit antisocial.

Walking around feeling a little bit contracted. Walking around feeling not sure of yourself. Yeah? Walking around feeling like you need to gain, you need to learn, yeah? learn more things we need to acquire whether that be spiritually or materialistically it doesn't make any difference yeah walking around doing that it's still not living here we're living in here and we're all doing it we all do it until you kind of get thrown into the lion's den in here and that gets challenged that totally gets challenged can I exist without that can I be without that story that's going on in here can I actually be and exist without that amnesia it's gone if you experience amnesia it's completely gone your whole sense of me gone doesn't make you disappear doesn't mean the presence in the aliveness disappears but it's a really good pointer in terms of who and what it is we take ourselves to be or believe ourselves to be the story thoughts images conditioning from you know from the moment we're born conditioning the goes in those we don't don't even have a choice over that I didn't choose my name I probably chose something different I didn't choose that that got put in there didn't choose my parents their conditioning got plowed into me and I think that I'm I'm an individual I was created I'd no say in who or what I was going to become at all and then when we take that creation to be Who I am that if you apply that amnesia pointer and your whole history is wiped completely wiped Who are you then who and what are you then in that moment again you do not disappear you're still here there's still a presence but who would you be no history don't even know your name who would you be so who are you if we're not applying amnesia who are you then if we're not applying amnesia other than the story the thoughts and images and ideas and conditioning that's going on in our head you can exist without it you can totally exist without it and that that's you know rattling around in our head that that's you know rattling around in our head is no indication whatsoever as to who and what we really actually are no indication presently there's no beginning there's no end that's what means about eternity there is no beginning and end to now someone find me a beginning and end to pure presence the mind will try and do that it'll try and do that but you know as soon as you say now is beginning it's ending another now is beginning and ending whiz it's too quick it's too it's it's beyond time it's beyond space it's beyond measurement there's no measurement in pure absolute beingness presence and ivat Shahbaz there's no measurement no gaps there's no measurement just always on or spontaneous always bursting the fact that things may have occurred like from catching up with a friend there's only ever now but we'll talk about that time okay we went out and had a party or with girls or whatever so it's not existing now but at some point something occurred it's just an occurrence so what i'm referring to is in relation to self me yeah okay so that doesn't mean that that is not a useful instrument doesn't mean that i can still remember the past yeah i can still remember where i need to be and and so on and so forth but what drops is the illusory self yes there was an experiential at an experiential level not the self level though it felt like something occurred yes i hear what you're saying it's not it's not the story that's not me that had that experience but it's still a recollection of an experience only a recollection and the recollection is never the experience ever bob wants to say something mm-hmm it's like i told you a dream in a dream you call the world stop looking for ways out the dream is not your concern your concern is that you love one part of the dream and not the other he says love all of it or none of it and the rest will be taken care of for you so whichever side you take on whether it's the good side or the bad side get out of it as quickly as you can it'll happen happen by itself.

And they started out as a fossil now too. Same as all the others we quote. They're all fossils now, all memories. Who was it? A bloke in Buddhist. I can't think of it. I'm getting old, I am old, and the mind starts to go somewhere else. He says, everything is perfectly resolved in the unborn. He called it the unborn mind. Everything is perfectly resolved in the unborn. That's right, stop thinking and see. Nature is resolving itself constantly. What mind is there in nature? What thinking is there in nature? He says, why exchange the unborn for thought? And that's all we do. Leave it as it is in the unborn, but we start thinking about it and change it.

And dreaming a dream. Don't realise it. When you go to sleep at night and you dream, all sorts of things are created. There's time, there's space, there's everything else. All sorts of activities. Live in houses and cars and mountains and doing this, doing that. When you wake up in the morning, what happens to it all? It all disappears. And you wake up, but you wake up to this dream. And this is a living dream. And the only way you can tell the difference between this and the night dream, this dream seemingly has a continuity. It seemingly continues every morning from where it left off. All those dream characters, the night dream, the dream of the dream, the dream of the dream, where are they now?

They disappeared. They came to seem real. You were one of them that disappeared when you woke up from the dream. That character. It all appears and disappears. It's the play of energy. Shiva-Shakti, they call it in Hinduism. Shiva, the static aspect. Shakti, the dynamic aspect. Shakti, the so-called female aspect, the dynamic. Shakti dances, or in other words, vibrates. And the world appears. It's the dance or Shiva, in other words. When you look at some of those sayings now, you see the difference in them and the truth in them. They don't understand what they really mean. It's also Buddhist that actually answered that question whether things happened in the past or they didn't happen in the past.

And it's a really good way to look at it. Because if we go to the mind and start to speculate or resolve whether the world is real or whether it is not real or belief it is all Maya or belief it's all emptiness, that's all sphere of belief. And that's the way to look at it. And that's the way to look at it. They have the best answer ever. Can't say. Tony always uses it too. Can't say. Can't say anything. You know, like the moment you start saying, you go to the mind and you're rumbling ahead. And the real answer is can't say. We don't know.

Is the life real or world real or is solid or is the past real or is solid? Don't know. Can't say. If I don't know and if I can't say, I'm out of the mind. And now I'm in that present and spontaneous eternity. So whether the past situation or party is just a present memory or a story created right now just emerging out of imagination as a present and is believed so so much that if you broke a leg there in that party you may still having gifts so it is whether it is just a trace of the past or it is a new moment created right now can't say because the moment I'm started saying I will just form two different parties and they will start fighting each other and killing each other who is right yeah can't say oh I don't know and a mind just gives up okay it's unresolvable that's when Bob was mentioning funky that kind of came up because it's such a it's such a practical way of addressing reality rather than fighting over reality rather than fighting over reality rather than fighting over whose concept is right or whose concept is better sometimes it's a bit fearful and asking a question because you feel you're going to be wrong which you probably will be but when this so when this structure collapses this anyway I'm gonna walk into something here but this this structure collapses does the knowingness or the beingness still happen occur or not occur?

exists you mean right now or you mean future no like when this when this body gives up and the life essence is left okay so you're imagining future right now well I am yes but I guess people when the body when this body collapses and no longer yeah of course I'm looking at future but it's I can imagine yeah yeah so does the knowingness still remain you can imagine there is Helen heaven or you can imagine there is reincarnation, or you can imagine the knowing is sustained, or you can imagine anything you want. If we go to the sphere of imagination, open field, whatever you want, what answer do you want?

Imagination is all part of it anyway, so why not use it? Absolutely, have fun with it, totally. We shouldn't be looking at it as, this is bad. It's wonderful, it's exquisite. Bring it up. Totally, totally, play with it. It's wonderful. And the only thing I would add to that question is find out for yourself. Now. Jump off the bridge? No, no, no. No, no, no. I'll get back to you. No, no, that's not what I meant. But presently, find out for yourself. Presently, find out for yourself. Then it's yours. That's what we say. What do you want us to say? That's what we say right from the start.

Can't teach you anything, can't tell you anything. But look and see for yourself. Look at the lines we're pointing to. Anybody who's not existing right now, anyone who's not conscious, anyone who's not happy to be, right in this moment, right in this moment you are that. The question was what when the body collapses? Yeah. Well, can you postulate anything, anything outside of space? What's it all arising? The silence, the stillness, the emptiness, space. It's all seeming patterns or forms in space. Can you cut space? Can you encapsulate it in any shape or form? Where does the river flow when it runs into this? Where does the water go?

Back into the ocean? You think you'll ever get the same drop of water out of it again? The question was about the being. You know, like you have the memory right now, so you remember you are. In a deep sleep you may not remember that you are. But you're still being in deep sleep, aren't you? That's a good one. That's a nice way to say it. You're aware of your own awareness. Yes, but still awareness. I'm going to throw the chips to the seagulls. You've got to keep throwing them. You've got to until you realize you're the seagull. Are you worried about taking concern from out of four?

That's a good point. Drop that whole, yeah, it was just something that came up. Right, it's just a fleeting concept. It's the fear of death when you conceive of time and separation. That fear of death is absent when there is no time and no separation. So the concern about future is also absent. Thank you. Nothing ever touched that essence that you are. If we take it on board, it comes to, who am I? Who's happening? What's happening to me? I'll hide about it. Is the recollection the actual experience? No. That's so important to see. It's another concept. You're right, it's just an overlay. Is it the actual experience?

Can I experience anything from the past, the so-called past, presently? No. No. It's a recollection. And then the problem is we take the recollection to be real. And then we tell ourselves, I'm experiencing that trauma again. All that's being experienced is the recollection. Or put something to something. We tell ourselves it's real. I call it regurgitating. There's an old saying, you mightn't like it, but it's true. A dog will always return to his vomit. And it's a fact. You will. Watch your dog when it's better. So we return to this me again and again and again. Quit doing it. With like, so everything's just like, so we're bringing in imagined good or bad memories.

So even if we leave here and then we look at photos and we're like, oh, remember when we did, that's not even that. That's something we're creating only right now. Yeah. Yeah. And there's no harm in that. What you just described, looking at photos. There's no harm in that. It becomes harmful when we take ourself to be the whole recollection. Yeah. It's like logic. Logically, it's quite insane what we do. Yeah. Logically. Yeah. Yeah. Factually. We bring the past into the present and call that me. Yeah. Okay. Hang on a minute. What? What am I? Bringing from the past into the present. Does it have any tangibility at all?

Like, what is it that I'm bringing from the past into the present and then calling that me? Seriously. Yeah. About this idea of who I think I'm going to be or where I think I should be. Yeah. Yeah. For me personally, that's an unhealthy attachment that keeps me out of here. Yeah. But it's all because we're still identifying with the story about ourselves from the past. If there was absolutely no story at all, like completely stopped, I wouldn't even think about the future. Yeah. There wouldn't be a future. Where would you be without that? Without the past or the future? Where would you be? Yeah.

Where does the livingness happen? Here. Where have we been? other than here. Everyone's walking around dreaming their own world. Like seriously. Everyone's unaware that that's what's happening. Just unaware that that's what's happening. Take it to be real. After all, everyone else is doing that. And when you really, really start to question this logically and factually, it's incredible that we actually miss the truth. The actual truth. It's incredible that we miss it. So the recollection is not the actual experience. Now, if I was traumatized as a kid and I have a recollection of it, whatever that recollection of it is is not the actual event happening again here right now.

It's not. If you just pause, do a reality check, just stop, pause and look around the room, you'll find everything's okay here. Where is it not okay? The memory. And our whole identity is based on memory. And we bring that from the past, so-called past memories, into the present and call that me. That's insane. Seriously. Insane. If you really see it, you'll see that's just fucking craziness. It really is. It's quite crazy. And that's why everyone's walking around with all these so-called mental disorders. You've got more than half the population now that are so-called suffering from mental health issues. Yeah, I suppose they are. But the person's not.

That is. And it's just all past stuff that we take to be real. And we're reliving or regurgitating the past stuff all the time. Regurgitating. Because we believe it's real. It's just thoughts. Nothing tangible about it. Nothing objective about it. Nothing solid about it. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Here in real life. Where the living-ness happens. Where the beauty happens. Where the love happens. Where the awesomeness happens. Jesus. Look around. It's fucking incredible. Here. And we live in there. Oh my God. So it's just seeing. A truth. Fact-finding mission. That's what it is. No, Mukti wanted to ask something.

Throwing a chip for the seagulls. Relate to that. So, I recognise the freedom of not identifying with the... that there's a self and a story and everything. And then there is a situation which is showing me where I'm still really identified with this self. And I don't get it so much as a mental story, so much as I feel it in the body, in the emotions. And I know that I'm connected, but I have to really stop to recognise. And it feels... It's sometimes impossible to recognise the story in terms of thought form. There's no thought forms underneath it anyway. But the... I had a business partner and she...

So it's past. I'm telling myself she manipulated a situation where she was due to pay me some money. And I can't tell now whether from my story I just fell into that and I've... It's too late. Or whether there's a possibility that actually the agreement wasn't honoured. And when I... It brings up so much stuff at a personal level that such a mixture of emotions come up. You know? And I've gone from like, I just want to make her and I'm so... It's like, fucking do it. Just pay it because it's real, it's true, it's accurate, I'm right. And to watching how I just completely lost presence and peace as I got caught up in that.

And then just stepping back from it. And... And yet the reason why I don't work with her and why I came out of that business was because that's exactly how she behaved towards me the whole way. It was her way, her way. And there's this energy that just doesn't want to just lie down and go, yes, your way again. And yet I'm not willing to act out further a sense of person who has to win. And I'm... So I'm kind of like sifting for what's true, what feels like the... Just life energy moving me in this. And what is actually my identity wanting to win or at least not be wrong or wronged.

And it's complex. I'm fine with my complex because it's like a... It's not a mental thing. It comes and it goes. And I have no idea. And... And the shortest, fastest way to peace is just to go, I'm not touching it. There is this little voice that goes, don't let her win, you know, don't let her... Do it again. So I'm not sure what my question exactly is. Something around... You can see through the head with that, but it's emotional, isn't it? Yeah. Where do you feel those emotions? At the moment it's down my spine and in my eyes, teary and shaky in my physical body.

I'm a little bit shaky in my physical self and yeah. Well who's looking at that? Where are you looking at it from? Go back to that. It's become objective, isn't it? Where are you looking at that from? Nothing. Nothing happening. You understand thought, feeling and emotion are one and the same thing, just like steam, water and ice are H2O. So you can't burst into tears right now or be emotional right now, but the thought will come up. It might be a smile. It might be a sad thought from the past or something at all, you know. And the feeling will come up with that thought.

You mightn't even notice the thought but the feeling will be there seemingly before the thought. And then the emotion will come, the tears or the anger or the... It's like a diligence to actually not identify with the objectification of the feelings and the thoughts and so on, isn't it? It's just a... Well if you try and find where you're looking at them from, you go back and you'll see you're looking from up here or down here or out here even. You can't find a static point where you can say there's something solid or substantial that's looking at it. And also maybe see both of them as just patterns because ultimately we don't really know what we're going to do and life will resolve it like...

It's a horrible thing to say but it may even happen that you will act out and punch her. Who knows? Who knows? Because this is all life. I mean the life that says I don't want to identify and act out is life and the life that says oh yeah, I'm feeling... The both life, the ego is not real. The both waves of behaviour, whichever one is stronger, that one may prevail in a situation, in a storm because the next situation will be fresh and new. And hopefully if you have any strong preference to one behaviour over the other, that will happen. But we don't know.

But there's no one taking it on board. No, yeah. No one to take it on board. Yeah. The both patterns. Sometimes the mind thinks it is a complex solution to an apparently complex problem. It's really simple. Like Bob said one thing and then you kind of resolved it. Say again? Bob just said something really simple and you kind of, you just were like silent, you know. But I have sometimes, Robbie at home, and then my mind will be like, oh no, this is a complex problem. It needs a complex solution. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. I don't know if it needs a complex solution.

Yeah, I'm not relating to that. But I can see how, like even for me to say it here now and throw this chip in for the seacoast, it's like, like I also have a lot of shame that I'm in this, that I've been in this kind of like spiral thing. And yeah, if I do something, I don't want it to be from anywhere other than nobody doing anything, just the action happening. And there's no other way. Yeah. Whatever will happen, it will be nobody doing it. Yeah. Through the patterns present. Yeah. Even if you keep spinning for who knows how long, there's still nobody. Yeah.

I guess it's the identification and the objectification of not wanting the patterns to play either. Yeah. And you don't have any choice. No. You're just going to play. No. And either way would be okay. If we're talking about the so-called two choices, either way is totally going to be okay. No matter what you think presently about those two choices, whatever happens, he's going to be okay. You might resist her and go, no, you're not doing that again. Yeah. Or you might go, I'm just going to let go. I'm going to let go. And finally walk away from that person. Finally. Even when I think it's a binary choice, to me that's still the mind and it's still.

Yeah. So, I mean, I can't know what is the action or choice. Correct. It's just going to happen. Everything is perfectly resolved in the unborn. Leave it as it is and it'll resolve itself. Sure things do. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Even though we think we're running the show. Yeah, I know. I'm here remembering that. It's like I'm running the show. Yeah. Anyway, time's got up for us. Thank you. That's great. Thank you Bob.
