You don't have to stop it. See, everything is an expression of that. If you take the darkness out of it, it's just an expression of the goodness. The good, the bad, everything. Nothing better, nothing worse. It's an equilibrium. It's all totally equal. Even though the mind is seemingly divided into the opposites, it's still equal. Take the meaning out of the word. Take the meaning of good out of the word. What is it? Take the word there. How much easier is it to let go of it, too, when you do that? Where does the awareness go when I have the operation? You are unaware of your awareness.
You didn't wake up with somebody else, did you? That awareness was there. It's unaware of your awareness. That's as good as not being aware. Isn't that as good as not being aware? Only talking to me. No, just saying. Not being aware, you think that the awareness is gone altogether. That's not being aware. You're unaware of your awareness. It's just awareness. Before you were born, you were aware. No. I can't remember that. You're unaware of awareness then. Yeah. And that was a self-knowing or self-aware. It's self-aware. Not something to be aware of. Like the sun, it's self-shining. You don't have to come up with a sun with a match, a light on it.
It shines and it's self-shining. That's called self-aware. And you call it self-aware. There's a time when I wasn't then. Pardon? In that sense, there's a time when I wasn't, because I've got, there's no awareness of it. Well, you're asleep. That's only a memory. You can't save a time when you were not. You can only go back so far and you get back. And before that, you don't remember. So how can you say I was not there? Do you have awareness of three births? Three births? There's no pre-births. There's only, you know, this is all appearance. Nothing's really ever happened. No pre-births. Is that just the ego trying to step in?
The eye? The eye that's thinking that... Life is continually living. Life patterns form. Patterns break down. As patterns form, they'll start to, it's inter-regating now. My cells functioning in it, adding to it. And the so-called death, it'll start to happen. It'll start to disintegrate, fall apart. And if there's a degradation, the communities of enzymes start to break it down, or worms and maggots will come in. So life, they're all life. We think we're the most important thing in life. But all these enzymes, germs, bacteria, the whole lot is life. And that life is getting feed out of this body. So life is continually living online.
What's left of the residual will go into the earth. And that earth, there might be a seed or get sustenance out of the ash or whatever it is. It'll get nourishment out of it. And the sprout will form. Something will eat the sprout. Something will eat the thing that eats the sprout. Where is death? Patterns shape and form. Patterns fall apart. It's not near birth or death, no. Will this awareness will change? No. Will this awareness go or change? No. It hasn't any beginnings. It hasn't had any ends. It's timeless. It's a little stuff, this. It's faceless. It's voluminous. It's mindless. It's all of those things.
The mind is no thing. Everything appears in that no thing. Did something come from nothing? It can't. So everything is appearing as no thing, or is it? Appearing as something. Would death then be like the operation? No. Would death then be like the operation? It would be. But is that what happens when you die? Just do it. It happens right there. If you believe in this entity, that's what was born at two, two and a half. Now if you see it's false now, there's no reality. Who's going to fear death? It was that sense of me that was born, and that can die right now if you see through it.
That had a beginning, and that's what's fearful today. Is that what that believed in entity? It wants to hang on. It wants to cling. So it creates in mind a future time, a future life, a God out there in the sky. You go and sit in his right hand side or something. All these things are conceptual. Your awareness, your awareness. If there is no sense of I, then there's just awareness. Well, have a look at it. You're not unaware, so you're aware. Now where does that sense of I come into that awareness? It's not there. There's just a make-or-make. There's just a make-or-make. Yeah, I agree.
I agree. So, but in your state then, I'm not talking about me anymore. I'm talking about, you know, maybe you live this like it's just, just like I open my eyes, you're there. Then, you know, what happens to you when you die? What happens to your awareness? See that mirror there? Come and look at that mirror. There's a heap of reflections in it, isn't there? You can't say they're not there. But you go up and try and grasp a reflection. You can't say it is there. So it's neither is there or not there. It's just an appearance in the mirror. But is the mirror contaminated by any of the appearances in it?
Does it touch any of the reflections? If you know that you are the mirror, like I said, this is your awareness, could you give a stuff whether you're born, whether you die, whatever? You lose that fear of death. It seems very apparent. It seems very incovenient. It's the only thing that is permanent. The only eternity is, it's not a billion light years or six-foot-long. Eternity is now. Because now has no beginning and it has no end. That's the eternity. Eternity is not impermanent. But if you're starting to conceptualize a million light years of yesterday and tomorrow, that's impermanent. Look at our concept of time and why it's there.
