Can you say your names? Terry Kieran Taylor Robin Scary to use their names Would you like to kick it off? No, you kick it off Aww Anyone else would like to kick it off? Maybe you have some questions or some sharing or some ideas or maybe even some ideas about how to do it in a way that the specific part of the topic is more interesting than the other like a specific approach like investigating the separation or maybe looking at no separation of how does the whole thing look from the perspective of nobody home like just space just one looking at itself as the other or maybe the idea of investigation how to practically do it how the time is mined or all is interesting that's great You don't even know what you're talking about I think I've seen you before No, I haven't been here before But yeah, he heard those ideas Alright, yeah Thank you, good point Gosh, I was pretty sure I've seen you before Unless you want to start from the start Yes, start from the start Start from the start Yes It might take a few months No, that's the quickest way That's the shortcut Start from the fact that you are already that There is nothing to seek There is nothing to find and there is no one to seek it That's what Bob very often starts to spill and I hope we will groom him to talk a little bit because there is no one like Bob He'll think about it He'll think about it You don't think about it You do it Interpretive dance it Bob Yeah Interpretive dance it Shave it Yes, so the start This is the start You are already that Now, when you start See, because everything is that There is only one There is only one essence or one intelligence or one awareness or one life or one emptiness They only appear to be Because if you look at anything deeper they are all made of emptiness Pure field of potentiality or E equals MC square whatever way you want to see it It's just that non-duality is about that one One that is manifesting and appearing as more than one as the diversity So there is no possibility if everything is that then suddenly you are somewhere away or apart from that You must be that too If you look at the fact that everything is that one life appearing as different frequency of vibration like one way of appearance is the sound or the sights or the matter If everything is just that one appearing as everything else then you basically just look for what stands in the way to fully realize that That's the shortcut that Bob is saying You are that already There is no way that you could be anything else because everything is that You feel like you are something else or you feel like you are not that yet You feel like you have to maybe settle back or find it or realize it or any of the ideas because obviously there is there is a part of seeking going on when we believe that Oh yeah, I get it conceptually I get it intellectually but I am not embracing or realizing it or not experiencing it But what are you not experiencing?

That's the question and very often people say I am not experiencing a multitude of bliss, orgasmic ecstasy of cosmic union Yeah, so what? Bob doesn't experience that either Does he look like he is having one? So this is the point Everyone is actually experiencing fully that awareness of presence that Like Bob is asking question Are you not aware of your presence? Are you not existing right now? Well, you are existing Don't you know that you exist? Yes, you do So, awareness of existence That's it But it feels like Come on, this is not really a big deal I mean, yeah, even a dog experiences an awareness of presence That must be something else Like why would the whole world get excited about the idea of liberation of freedom or enlightenment if that was just it Yeah, but it is just it There is nothing else It is just this moment as it is moment to moment If there was something else that you would have to find it means that something else would be temporary would be having a beginning and an end which means it is totally unreliable which means it is not worthy of looking for If that was something else than this moment right here, right now I wouldn't worry about it It is here It is now It is in our eyes to see it It is too close because it is all there is Like, you know, how can you realize or find something that is a substance of which you are made, even the cognition even the knowingness is made of that very thing So it is It can't be found That's the ultimate answer It can't be found But it can't be denied either It can't be found It can't be lost either It is something that can't be lost Something that is there all the time But it is so close that we can't see it So this is really about finding out what stands in the way of fully realizing that awareness of presence being here fully shining What What is the cloud that doesn't let us see that sky-like awareness because they often call it this way And we are that sky We are that space We are that aliveness Using the body Using the eyes to look at itself to experience itself as the other And it is nothing wrong in experiencing as the other when it is known for what it is It is just an experiencing as the other It is nothing wrong with having ideas, thoughts, feelings or emotions as long as they are known for what they are Ideas, feelings, thoughts, feelings and emotions When we take them for reality we suffer When I have the thought I am unworthy, I suffer When I have the thought I am unworthy and I know that it is just a thought I can laugh, it doesn't matter So really what stands in the way of fully realizing that shining aliveness right now is the thought is the idea is the concept that I am not there yet is a belief in the idea that no, no I have to keep seeking because there is something more something else to get and there is me that can get it So if there is a me and something out there then of course we have the path we have the process we need time This is not worth it If it is not timeless and if it is not beyond time, space and limitations if it requires certain brain capacity or certain looks or certain richness or whatever it is not worth it If it is not fully distributed between everyone and it is not totally like you know Gosh, it is like Jesus was saying that the prostitute is not any less worthy than the king because they all have the same core of the essence of the aliveness in them So this is what we are looking for this is what we haven't lost this is only what got clouded by the concepts by the ideas So it is really about stepping down from the head, from the brain from the thinking back to the core of the essence the core of being back to this intuitive knowing of existence back to the heart of the essence the heart of being and this is not something that again we have to do because it is there already I mean, gosh, everyone is already present and aware aware of their existence aware of multitude of other shit going on in the sky different clouds and different thoughts and different stories but this base they often call it a basic screen the screen on which all that thoughts, feelings, emotions and movies appear and disappear and all of those thoughts will be very important they will be very personal they will be about me they will be painful or whatever I mean, ideas of I'm gonna waste my potential I'm not doing what I should be doing or they are against me Ouch!

All that mental crap is totally totally redundant it's completely unnecessary it doesn't mean that it has to be quiet there the crap may be going on just as I gave you the example if I have the thought I'm unworthy but I don't believe it it just completely doesn't touch me like I used to believe it for gosh, 40 years of my life and I was suffering like hell but right now when the thought like this appears, I know it's a thought it doesn't have any relevance whatsoever I don't have esteem I don't have a need for one middle word, it doesn't matter it is just like this cat it doesn't need to have esteem issues it doesn't have any sort of ideas of what he is or what he should be look at him he's totally totally convinced that he deserves all the love of the world and he does yeah so that's how simple it is it is really about realizing of what has never been lost what has what is there underlying all the mental noise and all the stories and all the imagination because really the reality of this moment is the reality of the pre-sense which is the awareness of being which can't be sensed it can't be smelled or touched or heard I mean the knowing that you are you don't really know it through any of the organs but you know it I mean you can't deny it even if your eyes are closed and your ears are closed or you go to the sensory deprivation chamber for a little float or whatever you still can't deny that you exist and you know it so even though it's not a sensory knowledge it's the pre-sensory knowledge it is known and it can't be denied apart from that this moment this miraculous moment that will never ever happen the same way it will never be the same again it's gonna be gone and then will not reappear in the same form it contains the content it contains the sights whatever is seen in the moment whatever is heard in the moment whatever is taste, touch and smell and on top of it some mental noise is also contained in this moment so there is a basic screen of awareness of being and there is a content of senses and now since early childhood we were conditioned to focus exclusively almost exclusively because we didn't go blind and deaf but we put most of the attention to the content of thinking and now we're missing out of the content of sounds like how many of you is aware of all that cars and trams passing out there unless we put the attention there unless it is specifically directed it's not obvious because we were conditioned to like we have let's say 100% of attention we put most of it into our thoughts and it kind of make those thoughts real serious, personal and oh gosh and violent even dangerous, you know the one thought can make you suicide a thought that's shocking but apart from that sense because in Buddhism they call it sixth sense the mind is one of the senses so apart from that sense that usually steals the show the thought comes and it steals the show nothing else is in the field of awareness we have five other senses we can see, we can taste we can touch, we can smell we can be aware of every muscle on the face we can be aware of the lips touching each other we can be aware of the tension we can be aware of the touch of the chair on the butt there is so much to acknowledge in this moment that is unique and precious but usually the head steals the show there's not much left for the heart there's not much left for the gut for the being for the deliciousness of being of just celebrating aliveness like this beautiful creature who doesn't really think much see it's just savoring it's celebrating its own being it's aware of every hair on his back and it's happy it doesn't suffer unless of course it's happy and it's hungry or wounded then again it doesn't resist it what happens, what the nature does it heals itself and it resolves itself right away when it is necessary when the cat is hungry it will meow or it will do whatever else it doesn't have the story about it how unfair it is towards me why is it like that what does it mean oh it has always been the pattern it has always been the case with me it doesn't have that mental noise so life is completely effortless when the mental noise is recognized for what it is when the mental noise appears alright, mental noise welcome because it's not about suppressing anything it's not about resisting anything if I resist it then again I'm back into the idea that I know better how this moment should look than this moment itself so that's the basics so that's the basics what's your name?

Suleyman have you been here before? so now any questions about that is there anything that you would like to add to it or anything that doesn't really sit well or anything that doesn't really sit well which one you liked about it which was the good one there was one point to me the fact that we were occupied with our mind and our thoughts the whole time and meanwhile we're not experiencing anything with our other senses yeah, what a waste isn't it it is a waste, you're absolutely right and it's a great analogy watching the cat it is and you can watch anything around you because it's only human pattern that has this this conditioning and it is a wonderful instrument to have this computer in the head there that can do all the calculation all the planning, they can do all the creative work and it's fantastic it can be employed to create the magnificent civilization but it backfires because when it is unconditionally believed and when it is given a power in a way that it actually runs the show that it is using you rather than you using the computer then of course all the crazy shit goes on also the wars, the famine the comparison constantly the backstabbing the, you know the suffering the suffering nobody who is happy in the natural state will go and stab someone else people who are happy they will be offering the happiness they will be spreading happiness they will be sharing they will not wait to share this joy and the happiness so if that natural state is obscured by any sort of a drama and any sort of suffering the result of that suffering will unfortunately be okay let's make sure everybody else is suffering too so I'm not alone and it doesn't have to be this way I had a moment last week where you were laughing already at me it was a real split second it was a tiny tiny thing when Terry was talking and you know how folks are like there's no teacher this day one and you were talking like there's no teacher why does he have this there's like nothing to get and no one to teach and I had this like that my mind straight away went nah that's weird where I imagined Bob was just like it was an impression I got like in my mind that Bob was just sitting here teaching Bob Bob like that there was only Bob Bob was the only one in this room and he was the only one who knew the joke and everyone else was like coming here to listen to Bob talk to Bob and it was like such a quick moment and I was like I was like oh that's really weird like I'm not here only Bob is here and my brain just went that's really eerie and then snapped straight out of it did you enjoy the moment of peace or absence of it it was eerie to me who said that who judged it oh I don't know like I said it was the tiniest little moment I had and then I was like just yeah it takes courage it takes guts to actually stay in the unknown yeah that's it I think I have a problem with it I get that weird like it feels alien or otherworldly or eerie and so straight away I'm like yeah it is it's almost I get the too much fun this is too exciting I get the fear like the meditating thing where I felt like the space was looking at me straight away I imagine the blackness had faces and there were eyes and I was like no fear fear fear but if you keep looking into it you will develop that loving affection towards that and eventually you will land in the place because very often fear is the is the first response to the unknown for people and this fear is love itself you don't want to be in danger you don't want anything bad to happen to you this is precisely this is the real self love and this is gorgeous but if you actually develop more of that heart response to that love of everything to that love of the unknown it will carry you through the fear the love for the truth will be even stronger than love for the security for the safety of the self you will one day discover oh my god I love it so much I'm ready to die for it even if that crazy moment of unknown is going to kill me just kill me just kill me I'm speaking about my experience I had this level of devotion and when the fear came up I said yes I will die for it I just so long for that for that well at that point it was still imaginary cosmic union or whatever I still had imaginations about it what it is going to be like to be free from a sense of separation that I imagined to be you know it was part of the seeking when you actually filter everything through the mind everything goes through the imagination and then experience only opens up for the moment I know it will open up I totally get that it happens so quickly that you just shock by it and my first response is like ahhhh it's amazing how it already happens to you how it already opens up more and more Bob has something Bob we're talking about yeah I looked at you and you were smiling and I was like you're smarter I was like you're the only one who knows that you're talking to you I had a taste of what I often say at the start of the meeting I'm not talking to anybody I'm not talking to any mind I'm talking to that I am that I am and I am is not Bob or anybody else it's a sense of presence that translates or expresses through the mind as the thought I am just to this nothing else that's the natural state recognised, recognising or knowing itself and you know what the natural state is what they mean by that as in nature look out there in nature galaxies forming out there stars, planet earth moving around the sun seasons coming and going is there some old guy in the sky doing anything about that or is the natural spontaneous functioning or going on and in it appear all sorts of patterns, shapes and forms, name or rupa name and form which are the false, they're not the real they're phenomenal the definition of phenomena is that which appears to be it only seemingly so and we take on this sense of separation and investigate and as soon as you see that you're looking, the natural recognition comes up and you see nothing there but you call it bible, call it god, call it brahma call it whatever you like it's just that space like awareness cognising emptiness that's the basic screen in which everything appears on can you postulate a thinking of anything that could be outside of space have a look at that, could there be and could there be any sound that didn't come from silence where does the sounds go back into the silence and the stillness the basic screen which is already there and what they call this is nana or knowledge and actually what do they call a so called liberated being anani, a knower has that knowledge and that's what that's in Hindu religions, what do they call it in the west Gnostics what's Gnosticism knowing or recognising and do you know that you are right now not what you are or how you are can you negate your beingness right now what you can't negate must be there mustn't it, well you must be that and you heard that term before, I am that this is that, everything is that and you know that everything is that you say that's a chair you put the label chair on it and it's taken us away from that it's you, you've taken the label, your name you put on your self it's taken the label away from it the name away from it but everything is that, that's the carpet that's the thing, that's the tree, that's the flower and they're pointing to all the one essence that's battening, shaping and forming and appearing and expressing as everything, everything totally everything now that's all this manifestation is made up of things you and I are things which we put labels on and take ourselves to be real and the basic space and silence and stillness is no thing you can't grasp space or cut it as it says in the Gita the sword can't cut it the fire can't burn it, the wind can't dry it the water can't drown it why because it contains all of those things there's nothing that can contain it including so called you and I we can't contain it we try to grasp it with the concept and we can't that's what the Saggadatta will tell you we try to grasp it with the concept and we fail and he says you're bound to fail because it is non-conceptual awareness that's awareness without any of those concepts or labels on it and realising that and recognising that what would you be able to say well I must be and can only be that that's all that needs to be recognised we've taken on the idea we're a person and where did the word person come from we put on a mask we put on a mask a mask of concepts, ideas I'm Bob the Australian a good fella, not so good, I've had a bad child all these concepts have been added onto that eye but if it's non-conceptual awareness what good are those concepts are they the real are they the actual and all the concept is is a mental construct a thought what are you without a thought have you disappeared without a thought have you fallen apart is it the end of you, it's not your heart's still beating still breathing, ear and finger nails are growing food's being digested everything is happening all of itself even the thoughts come up spontaneously but we're related to the conceptual image of a person I think and as soon as you say I think you've formed a subject, a thinker and I think this thought the thought becomes the object thinking has been divided into subject object duality and there's no such thing as duality never was, never will be that's what we're looking at, seeing it's non-conceptual ever fresh presence awareness as they say in Buddhism non-conceptual awareness awareness out of the concept all that needs to happen to it is to be re-cognised and you've cognised it long before now you've had tastes of it different times in your life where everything's formed into a place it simply gets obscured and we lock into the personality again so when they say recognise it's re-cognise it not finding something new seeing what's always been there and recognise it and you will if you have a little bit of a look that's what we say start from that fact that you are already that you couldn't be anything else this cat was fighting at there is only that see when it gets obscured by the thoughts have another look who is this happening to?

is this happening to this conceptual image? me or I that I've got now can this conceptual image can a conceptual image see hear, taste, touch or smell? it can't but the seeing, hearing, tasting, touching, smelling the functioning is going on naturally and spontaneously and there's no personal doership whatsoever and that's hard to swallow if you've never looked at this because we've been conditioned to believe we are a separate entity, a person and that's what we've learned and the tools, society, and nations have all reinforced that belief and as soon as we learn the words we start reinforcing it ourselves and we've reinforced it every day of our life from then on until we start looking at it and that's when we say the false cannot stand up to the investigation and when you start investigating you'll recognise the falseness of it and it will fall apart and what are you left with?

the truth and isn't the scriptural saying know the truth know, make it the knowledge and the truth will set you free what are you free of? you're free of the belief that you're a separate entity an individual, a person and that's if you like to call it, that's liberation isn't that right? thank you Bob non-conceptual awareness so what is it really? he used that a couple of times non-conceptual awareness the knowing but different knowing than knowing through the concepts different knowing than knowing through the understanding intellectual understanding it is not the conceptual knowing it is non-conceptual so what is it that we already know fully 100% we know it so well that we could even die for it because it's so certain but it doesn't matter it doesn't require a thought when you pause the thought what is it that you know?

do you know that you are a human if you have no thought? no it takes a thought the experience of experience that you have when you don't have thought experience of what are you how would you even describe the experience that you have with no mental images like how do you even experience your face without the mental image of the face because mental image is also concept thought doesn't have to be a sound the image is also a thought it depends on the on the tuning of the machine whether you are predominantly visual or auditory or whatever so what is it that is known for certain without any mental image or thought can you know it?

can you know that you are seeing if you don't label it seeing? can you know that you are breathing if you don't have the conceptual conditioning telling you that this is what's going on without any concepts the only thing that is known and is known for certain is not learned is not believed is the fact of our own being is the awareness of existence is the awareness of presence sky-like awareness and it doesn't require thought non-conceptual awareness cognizing emptiness why cognizing emptiness? because when I don't project a body when I don't project the image of the face I don't have any limits if I don't look down I don't have any legs I don't have I need the mental image to project myself as the without the concept non-conceptual awareness is I exist what I am?

I don't know, I need the image I need the concept to know what I am but to know that I am I don't need the concept I don't need any concept any idea or any image to know that I exist but what I am? I need the concept so if I really want to know what I am I just have to drop the conceptual knowing I just have to drop any ideas I just have to know what I am left with is the awareness of being what is it? wrong question why is it? wrong question I mean there are no wrong questions they are just questions so if the questions come up that's fine, recognize it for what it is a question see who is asking it who wants to know and then you will realize that the question is just a question so the question is should I only recognize emptiness or cognizing emptiness emptiness because if I don't have the concept or I don't put any idea or image on myself that is what I can only say I am what I am, where I am, why I am, I can't say so none of the greatest sages ever define themselves they would use pointers yes I am the world I am the awareness I am the everything I am the Brahman it Bob calls it intelligence energy or life or but that's just a label that's just a pointer or space space cognizing emptiness space that becomes form so if you want to find out who you are you can go and get a concept but if you want to find out the truth forget about finding out the answer of who you are you'll never ever ever ever figure it out Bob has no idea what he is or who he is Nisargadatta had no idea what he was or who he was they only know they are and that's it if there is no one to be curious about self-definition that's enough it's enough to know that you exist if you want to know what you are or who you are figure out who wants to know who is the one who needs the definition who is it with within who is it who is asking the question am I the what am I all who really wants to limit and isolate and separate itself from the totality because when the question what am I or who am I disappears and I know that I am and I don't have the concept that I'm only within the limit of the skin and outside the skin this is not me this is all thoughts like Bob is illustrating it beautifully in the spiel when he says when he talks about the little child growing up and parents are telling him this is chair this is carpet and you were the little Johnny so the definitions come up the separation comes up you are the little Johnny you are not the carpet you're not the chair so now you are separated you're isolated now this is me and this is not me this is me and this is me this is the world now separation but without the concept that there is me and the other what am I I just am I don't have the boundaries and if you really sit just for just for a minute and figure it out investigate it just taste it yourself who are you like Bob said who are you when you don't think about it who are you if you don't believe anything that the mind will tell you that you are because the thoughts will tell you I am the body I'm the mind I'm woman or man or whatever but if you just push it aside just just ignore it and see what is really really known and experienced for certain what is not conceptual and just just savor it for a minute for a moment that that aliveness that that sweetness of existence that is not that attention that is not dispersed into all the content but it's totally resting in that certainty absolute certainty of existence what problems then you have what questions you just just are who wants to know what or who why would you even want to give yourself a definition why would you even want to isolate yourself from totality by saying this is where I end this moment and this recognition of just simple being without any conceptual or imaginary boundaries is the freedom this is this is the freedom of this is the place of safety this is the place where you are invulnerable this is the place where nothing can touch you nothing can harm you because there is just basic screen just silence and if the attention actually rests in that safe silent spacious that no problems no thoughts will take the breath the bliss will come back the joy of life will come back when विंदूर I don't have to construct myself I don't have to hold up the image of being separate I don't have to believe in being anything other than just being in that release the bliss comes back the sweetness of a Holy Spirit clairvoyance Political comes back like, oh my God.

It is almost as if the Buddhists, they have this funny analogy what enlightenment is like. If you want to go a thousand miles and you put the stone into your shoe and you keep walking and your feet start bleeding and hurting and you take the shoe off and put the blood out of it and then you put the shoe and after the thousand miles you just take the stone out. What a relief. That's the contrast. And they say if you hammer yourself in the head and you stop it. You stop it. Stop hammering yourself with that identity, with that falseness of the thoughts. I am separate.

I'm unworthy. I'm a woman. I'm only human. Bob is using it. After all, I'm only human. Why that label? Why that concept? You are. That's something that is for certain. Nobody told you. Nobody taught you that. This is not a belief. The fact of existence is not a belief. Being a body is a belief. You learned that. Cat doesn't have a clue that it is a body. Being a person or being the mask of identity, the persona, is a belief. We learned that. We were brainwashed to believe that. We are believers of being something other than just pure being. If we are pure being, the expansion that it brings with it is just a belief.

It's not a belief. It's a belief. It's just… And that's how it feels, how life feels, when it is not contracted and confined and limited by this conceptual image that we put upon ourselves. I'm the person. I'm the body. I'm unworthy. I'm whatever. My future is uncertain. My parents don't love me. I had a bad childhood, or I was traumatized. I, I, I, I, I. All that self-obsession, all that self-construct that the pure being is wearing on itself and is limiting itself. How cool it is when this construct is actually recognized, okay, that's just a construct, it's just a tight jacket. If I take it off for a moment and I just experience how it is to simply be.

Just there's nothing going on in the head, no ideas. If the ideas come, okay, that's just ideas. The concepts, the identification comes, okay, that's just the movement. It's just like the movement in the space of hearing, there are sounds coming and going. The same movement is happening in the head, the thoughts are coming and going. It's no difference. They're not my sounds and they're not my thoughts. They just come and go according to the conditioning, according to the brainwash, to what we believed, what we were conditioned to believe since childhood. The thoughts appear according to the environment, according to the religion, to the upbringing, the diets, the climate, the food, everything.

But they're not mine. They just, this is the thought machine and that is resonating with certain thoughts. And really there is nobody there that is choosing the thoughts. There's nobody there who is acting upon the thoughts. There is really nobody there. Nobody found any entity, any dwarf or Santa Claus or any entity or any fairy there that has anything to choose or to do or to experience or to, really it's just life. It's life expressing as thoughts, feelings, emotions. Awareness, the screen of awareness. Nobody home. Just life. Now how would that feel? If you get off the way? And you leave your eyes for the life, just pure life to look around and see.

Now it's not me seeing. It's the life. Oh my God. This is exactly what I, life, want to see. Beautiful. This moment is never going to reappear in the same form. Give your ears to the life to hear. All that sounds. Oh my God. Life is showing itself to itself. And give your heart to it. Because that's the. That's makes everything so much easier. If you give that all the body, just get off the way and let life experience whatever it wants. It wants to experience a little bit of pain. You're welcome. Don't resist anything. Don't resist. Resistance is suffering. Resistance is Bob calls it uneasiness or disease.

This is how we create the. The so-called psychosomatic diseases by resisting what is. And we're not creating it. There's a conditioning creating it. There's nobody there. You think, okay, Bob doesn't have an ego, but you do. No, you don't. Ego is a fiction. It's a fiction. It's an image constructed of past events and experiences. It doesn't have any reality. It only appears real because it is believed. The moment you question it. And you stop believing in it. You'll see it for what it is. Just a bundle of thoughts. It's not real. So it feels like, okay, I have an ego. I have choices. I have things to do.

But Bob doesn't have an ego. So he's not going to be doing anything. He's going to starve himself. No, there's no difference. They say the only difference between enlightened and unenlightened is that unenlightened thinks there is a difference. Because enlightened know there is no difference. He doesn't have an ego. You don't have an ego. Nobody has an ego. There is only a belief. If I believe in God, in external agents somewhere out in the clouds that is watching me and will punish me, I'll even have an experience of it. I will fear God. I will talk to him. I will pray to him. It will be real for me.

If I believe in Santa Claus as a child, I'll be getting gifts. I'll be waiting for it. I'll get excited for Christmas. It becomes real for me. So if I believe in a separate ego, it becomes real for me. Completely. It becomes so real that I will be offended if someone criticizes the way the body is looking. Like, what do I have to do with the way the body is looking? It's totally not in my hands. I mean, it's not me. But if I believe that this is what I am, I'll get offended. If I think I'm my opinions and somebody challenges them, I'll be sad.

I'll be disappointed. I'll be suffering because somebody challenged me. What do I have to do with the bundles of thoughts of opinions that I gathered from somebody else? So it's the belief that makes things real. If I believe I'm separate, I experience separation. If I believe I'm an ego, I experience an ego. If I believe the earth is flat, that's another example that Bob is giving often. People believed it for thousands of years and they experienced it. Now they believe in something else and they experience it. So it is really about questioning the beliefs, throwing them out to the garbage, and seeing what is true in absence of the beliefs.

What is left when the beliefs are gone? What is left when the thoughts are gone? What is wrong if I don't think? Who am I if I don't apply any image of myself? What is wrong if I don't think? Who am I if I don't apply any image of myself? What is wrong if I don't think? Who am I if I don't apply any image of myself? Who am I if I don't construct that entity to identify with and believe in? This is experiential. It can be tasted and it is there, underlying the beliefs. Always there. Always already there. There's nowhere to go. There's nothing to find.

It is already there staring in your face. It's just too close. That's why everyone misses it. Because it's taken for granted. It's just like fish looking for the water. Or wave looking for the ocean. It is made of it. Yeah, you were talking about being and knowing. That's what they call in Hinduism, sat-cittananda. Being, knowing and loving to be. Anyone who is not being right now, not existent or existence, consciousness, bliss, there's another way. Anyone who is not existing right now. No, you must recognise, oh I'm existing. Anyone who is not conscious right now. You can't say, yeah, I'm conscious. Anyone who is not happy to be.

And you're happy to be, you wouldn't be dead for quits. And existence, consciousness, bliss is that. So I am that. Not the person. Not the individual. I am existence. I am consciousness. I am happy to be. Or being, knowing and loving to be. That's what it is. That's what it is. That's what it is. Being and loving to be is another way to put it. Or, putting it again, awareness of being is bliss. It's a great belief. It's a great happiness to know or recognise that beingness that you are. And being is not was-ing or not becoming. The I-N-G on it gives us something that's going on in this immediacy right now.

You're not separate from it. So again you go back to the that-ness of everything. You are That. And that is all there is. You're definitely not the person. The person comes from persona, the mask. We've got a conceptual image of what we believe it's supposed to be, what we're told. And we take that conceptual image to be real. But is the thought real? Is the thought real? Is the word the thing? Look at the word water. Can you drink the word? Can you drink that word water? Can you swim in the word? Can you wash it? Does the word fire burn your mouth if you speak it?

So what's this word I or me that you so firmly believe in? This is what I am. Then you see that the word is just a description, a label. And we put labels on everything. That's a chair, that's a carpet, that's you, that's me. You went into Meyers to buy a shirt and you walked out with the label. Would you be happy with that? You want the shirt, you don't want the label. The same with this. Do you want the label you put upon yourself or do you want the actuality? You can't negate your beingness right now. You can't negate your knowingness right now. You can't negate your having to be.

So what must you be? I must be that being, knowing and loving to be. So what is we forget? We still go back into the conceptual image we've taken on board. Even after it's been investigated you can easily fall back into it if you don't see it right. And understand when you look at it you can't find anything substantial there. You can go right back and pinpoint a little dot somewhere inside you. This is what it is. It's not going away. And if you're functioning in a belief in that dot, what's outside of that dot? The whole world. The whole world is outside of that and you've taken on, you've got the world on your shoulders.

What if you expanded that dot to take in the world? Put it the other way around and realise that that dot, if you enlarge it, see that the world appears in that, as that and after that. And if you enlarge it to that extent that it's not enabling to something, what's going to hurt it? It can only hurt the little conceptual image we've got. We've likened ourselves to a point. It's not going to hurt. And beat ourselves up with it. Get beaten up with it. Take it all in. Questions? Please. Anything that is not obvious? So if something, you know, we see, we've read an article on the internet, the ocean has a lot of plastic in it.

How do we say that that's all one and that itself, us saying that that itself is, we're all one, is a concept in itself? in itself. How do we find action and how do we not separate ourselves from the world at large that there's a lot of suffering? How we don't get cold of the world. You mean, I mean, you know, like, well, if everything is one, nothing needs to be changed and let's leave it as it is. You mean this? Yeah, coldness. Yeah, yeah, beautiful. I love that question. Bob, go for it. Yeah, it's beautiful. How does this mind function? Dualistically, have a look at it.

It's either good or bad. Pleasant, painful, happy, sad, loving, hating, positive, maybe realize you can't think any other way than vibration, so vibration, that's all thought is which we put labels on. And it's always vibrating dualistically. But is there really any separation? Can there be non-duality without duality. Can there be duality without duality? Not at all. without non-duality? Can there be good without bad? Or bad without good? So it's only divided seeming conceptually. There's nothing ever been separated or divided from. And they take the word to be the real. As I said, the word water is not the thing. That's just a label. The word fire is not the fire.

The word me or I is not what I am. So we take on this idea there is dualism, but there not, there never was. And that's what I tell you. It's the one essence vibrating, patterning, shaping and forming, and appearing as everything. I've taken on all these patterns, different patterns, shapes and forms, but they're just a vibration, like the pairs of opposites vibrating as thought. A vibration is divided into the two concepts, or it's into two concepts that they put on. They're encased in these concepts. No concepts. Can you separate day from night or darkness from light? Winter from summer? Silence of summer? down, move it from stillness.

They're all appearing in your cart, saying this is a static point where it begins and this is a static point where it ends. It's all transient, which they tell you. It's Maya. It's illusion and it's transient. That's what they call you in Hinduism. It's all Maya. So what about the right action? You know, things like there is a plastic in the ocean, but yeah, yeah, there's no separation. I don't care. Well, why would you put it there in the first place? Those things happen. They're appearance. They all go about because of this idea of a separate entity. As they say, everybody in this room will have a concept about you.

And you'll have a concept about everybody in this room. Now, if you ask yourself which concept would be right, you'll have to say you realize that no concept is right. So if there's no concept is right and you see that, what would you want of the other persons? You wouldn't want anything of the other persons. You wouldn't put that plastic. Ah, you wouldn't do anything. You wouldn't rape your neighbor. You wouldn't attack the neighboring country. So then how do we then, in a non-juristic thought, how, you know, I walk away and I drive home and I completely forget about what we were talking about. I think it's a very, very, very difficult thing.

I think it's a very, very difficult thing. Well, you're not just going to forget about what we talked about tonight. Yeah, you've forgotten about it all your life because you didn't question it. Yeah. Now you do start to question it. What are you going to do? You're going to recognize, recognize the falseness of it. And that's all that can happen. You can recognize the false as false. And you see that all this dualistic appearance, pattern, shape and form, is appearance only, and the manifestation, that's the definition of phenomena. It's a phenomenal manifestation, your definition of phenomenal is that which appears to be. It's only seemingly so.

It's like dreaming a dream. You dream, you go to sleep at night and a dream forms. In that dream there's a world. People and things taken part of it, you're taken apart of it, yet you realize when you wake up your body never moved off the bed. No words came out of its mouth. But you've woken up to this dream. Now this dream seems real and could you tell the difference between this dream right now and the dream you have at night? Could you really? The dream you have at night seems to start and finish. This dream seems to continue. Every morning it continues. If your dream at night continued like that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference at all.

And there wouldn't be anything. That's what I'm going to tell you. We're dreaming a dream you call the world. You're dreaming a dream you call the world. You're dreaming a dream you call the world. And stop looking for ways out. That's what we're trying to do. Get out of the dream. He says the dream is not your concern. Your concern is you love one part of the dream and not the other, which we do all the time. We don't want, we want the good, we don't want the bad. So we're loving one another. And he says love all of it or none of it. Don't take a side or don't take an ecstatic point anywhere.

And he says the rest will be done for you by the same essence that brought you into existence. You know, have a look at that. When did you begin? You say I was born. But can you remember your birth? How did you begin? Well go back as far as your parents, your father and your mother. That pattern you call your father, through the breath, the prana, and the food he was eating, the form of that pattern, in that pattern, the intelligence is vibrating in that pattern, enabled in that pattern a little thing, a little microscopic particle you can't even see with the naked eye, called a sperm to form.

Now that sperm was suffused with intelligence. It knew what to do. The same with the mother. The wife hasn't seen her mother. Formed another microscopic particle called an egg or an ovum. Now that ovum was suffused with intelligence. It attached itself to the wall of the uterus. It wasn't floating around. And the sperm swam to the ovum. You put it under a microscope, it would see it has the capacity of swimming. And amazingly enough, it knew where to swim to. And it penetrated the ovum. And when those two came together, when the intelligence functioned those two, doubled that cell, doubled it again, and formed the little embryo, the little fetus, which is you today.

What were you doing about it then? Did you say I better grow a hand, or an eye, or an ear, or a heart? You didn't, the innate intelligence didn't have any words. It didn't even have a brain at that stage. Yet that innate intelligence formed all of that. And grew you into what you are now. And it's even growing you even now. But when we reached the capacity of about two, two and a half, the capacity of reasoning, we start to learn words and use words. And then we put those names in form on them. And we took over. And that capacity of reasoning took over.

And we thought we were running the show. Where we formed this egoic image. And we fixated on that and been reinforced by our school, our parent society, and everybody around us. And we were reinforcing ourselves. So it's a seeming solid, substantial thing. And when I say look and see if there's anything else, it's very hard to believe and ask that question and really look into it. And when you look into it and see it all falls apart, there is nothing there. Nothing except the life essence, the natural state, which is beating your heart right now, breathing in, growing air in your fingernails, digesting your food, replacing cells in your body.

Just like the earth rolling around the sun, seasons are coming and going. It's that same intelligence energy, what I call, I don't use the term God, I use intelligence energy. The reason I don't use the term God, because we can get confused with that term. Every religion believes in this thing, and they'll have a different concept of what they think God is. Which concept would be right? And there's no concept. So we put the label God on it. But it's just that pure intelligence energy. Breaking that intelligence energy down, intelligence is knowing, isn't there a knowing right there right now? An energy is a vibration.

That knowing is vibrating into words, thoughts, ideas and images. Or in other words, the activity, any movement of energy is an activity. And the activity of knowing is going on and you're right at this moment. Isn't that a fact? Negate that knowingness or beingness. It's vibrating away there naturally, isn't it? And you are that. And see what else is happening, how the life resolves itself. The life created the situation where there is a plastic in the ocean. And right now, just the same way the life is beating your heart, the life is giving you thought. What do we do about that? Not everyone will resonate with that thought.

But certain bodies will actually come together. Bob is often giving the example of the, you know, the climate change, the damage to the environment, and life resolves it. When life is flowing through it, it kind of moves like a pendulum. And after a while, there is a movement appearing on the face of Earth, when people are coming together and thinking how to resolve it, the Greens or the climate change activists, all these people appear, the life gives it, it moves them to do that. And if you feel that, that you are moved to do something about it, you will find out that if the energy is strong enough, you can't resist it, you just find yourself moving it.

And that's what I'm trying to say. And I think that's what I'm trying to say. I think that if the energy is strong enough, you are moving it, and you're moving it on and to resolve it. Like Bob, his contribution to making a world a better or happier place is that he is available 24-7 for phone calls, Skype calls, and everything to get people out of the suffering. Because when they are not suffering, they don't go and steal from another, they don't drop plastic to the ocean. They're basically just more loving and supportive towards each other. Happy people just want to share the joy of being.

they don't become nasty. Nasty is a pain. But again, this is how the world resolves itself. And if you look at it from the space perspective, there is no room for the idea, okay, but I am a climate change activist and I'm right and everybody else is my enemy who is not with me, is against me. And there is war. Because this is unacceptable, this is wrong, and I'm the one who is right and who will fight it. This is coming from resistance. When you see, like Bob explained, that yes, there is good and bad, pleasure, pain, dark and light, there is day and night, winter, summer, there have to be pairs of opposites, otherwise there would be nothing.

So even if there was no plastic, there would be some other things that would be opposite to good, but it has to appear dualistically. And I remember quite a lot of my dreams. And there are dreams when I'm helping people. And I'm helping people. And I'm helping people. And I'm helping people. And I'm helping people in the dream, even though it's a dream, even though sometimes I know this is a dream. But my conditioning and my nature is to protect someone who needs protection or to cook when there is a hunger or to clean when there is dirty. It's just the conditioning. So if you have this, and bravo, a lot of people doesn't ever get that sort of concerns in their hearts.

They just don't care. And it doesn't mean they are bad. It means they had maybe whatever, harder childhood, or they are attracted to other things in life. But if you come and approach and see that situation from completely selfless perspective, where you don't blame anyone, when you don't hate anyone, but you just see the action coming from your gut instinct, the right action coming from the gut instinct, without taking credit, oh, I'm great, because I'm doing this, and they are all bad. This is a different dynamic. And from this perspective, life resolves itself. And any help, if you are moved to give it, you're giving, and you're not even doing it.

Life is using that bodies to resolve whatever needs resolving. And life is giving you thoughts to care. If you are receptive, and if you listen, if you are sitting in a quiet space, in a space of heart, when you actually listen, when you look at the other hand, you're not preoccupied, you're not self-obsessed, you're not in a great pain, you're not in a loads of problems that need urgently resolving. But you're in that quiet space, sitting in the heart and seeing, ah, what can I do for you? Ah, what, how can I help you? How can I be at service? This is where the ideas come.

For you could be, you know, clean the oceans. And I, we both, we're sailors. He spent a lot of time on the ships, I did too. So yes, it is very, very burning thing. And then, yeah, we do, are moved occasionally to donate money, which we don't have much. But some people are moved to save polar bears, or to help in Salvation Army. And some people are just so self-centered and so self-obsessed that are only worried about how to stop someone, or how to get someone off there, whatever it is. It's just, and this is all part of the display. It's when the non-duality, the recognition that there's no doer in anywhere, the suicide bomber is just an empty shell of the body with the conditioning of becoming suicide bomber.

And the life moving that vehicle with that conditioning, and doing what it does. Or alcoholic or pedophile, they're, they're, they're all just the way life expresses in this moment. And there is, there is pain, but there is also a beauty in that unconditional acceptance of everyone as inherently innocent, just as that one life, just as that one self. You can't hate anyone then. And if you can't hate anyone, you don't wish anyone bad. You don't go for the war. You recognize that this is the same life, God, going through the veins of that cat, or the tree, or your enemy, or your boss. And, and that recognition is so inclusive is everything is that.

I am that everything. I am that is the same, is identical to everything. And this is what, in one of most famous sayings of Nisargadatta, this is where, where he introduces love. A lot of people, hate that topic but this is where he says when I am everything this is love when I'm when I'm nothing this is wisdom when I'm nothing when I understand the empty nature of everything I am empty everything is empty emptiness is playing out and this is all mirage this is all illusion this is intellectual mental understanding everything is nothing this is wisdom this is wisdom but when I understand that because I am nothing and everything else is nothing that whole everything is the same nothing so I love that everything as my own self this is love this is where the understanding really drops from the head to the heart and you embrace the universe including the badness of it including the idea of understanding that you are if you dream at night and somebody is chasing you including the pollution in the world and including the worse but it is all unconditionally accepted and in that unconditional acceptance love plays out and the way it plays out it plays as compassion it plays as gratitude and it plays as an action that brings more and more of this beautiful frequency of love which is joining which is connecting which is helping which is saving which is caring for this ocean or this polar bears or dolphins or or victims of of rapes this is this is where these teachings really sink in because a lot of people just stay on the level of nothing and they yeah i've got it i understood it there's no love in my life there's no joy in my life but i've i know i'm nothing ouch ouch when the life is empty when there is no joy in it there is no love for being like bob says being knowing and loving it appreciating it if that part is missing please just you should yourself that's a favor i'm kidding i'm sorry i'm kidding i don't just keep investigating just keep looking just keep looking i mean i i would do that to myself but i kept looking i'll be crucified for it but i've been crucified for many things before put it around yeah please please you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you put something in put some put something in put some i've got a question yeah again just with my work which is about filming social injustice and there's usually one party is the bad guy doing something wrong to another party so from which perspective from the perspective of the other party well yeah but you know they're taking their homes and killing them and you know you ask them why they do that why they kill them maybe they're insecure maybe they're vulnerable maybe they think this is their home they think that it's their home yeah Yeah, which is a country that they stole from other people.

Absolutely. So they do think those things. But the point is, if I want to tell that story, and I'm taking it from the perspective of... You're taking sides, yeah. Well, yeah, in the story I need to take sides. Yeah, yeah, if you need to, you do it. But as you say, that's an appearance anyway. Yeah, and your story will move someone, will move the compassion, will move love. This is what life does. You're not doing it, life does it. Just don't take credit. Right. You're moving whatever... You don't take credit for beating your heart. You know life does it. You don't take credit for hearing sounds.

So now, hearing thoughts, and the thoughts are telling you, go and feel this. That's just the same as sounds, you know? The thoughts are directing your actions. Life does it. Wonderful. Just be at service. Just give your body to life to be used, which you do anyway. Yeah. You don't know what you'll do. Yeah, that's right. You don't know what you will do. What's your next idea or thought? You said something. Yeah, say it, say it. Keep that thing away from me. Oh. Oh. He feels pressured every time he's sticking it in his face. I know, I'm sorry. No, you're not. Yeah, he's right. I'm not too sorry.

I want him to speak and I want him to be heard. That's not the love is this. Smart-ass Bob that I had imagined last week. The little trickster. Yeah, I know. What were you going to say, Bob? I said, what was that? I didn't hear that last one. I said, this is the smart-ass Bob I remember from last week. When I had that moment, the little trickster Bob sitting there smiling like that. That's the smile that I had in my head. Yeah. That I know something you don't know yet. I guess it comes down to the question, is there a natural morality? Isn't it? That's sort of what you're looking at, isn't it?

No, I'm looking at, my opinion is that there's not a, it's not a situation that's just. Yeah, yeah, but I mean, where do you make that decision from? Where do you make that judgment from? Well, from my conditioning, I think killing somebody is bad. Yeah. Like, I think I know what you're talking about. Yeah. I probably agree with you. Yeah. Yeah. And then, you know, taking them home as well, away from them after you've killed them is really bad. Mm. That's, that's the judgment, isn't it? Yeah, it is. But did you really hear both sides? Both? Both. Both. Two sides. Yes. Like, you know, Bob was telling me.

That over the years, there was a lot of people who were the rubbish in him for, for things that he said. Any words. I have a lot of arrows shot in my way too, but did they ever hear me? No, they have assumptions. Did they hear Bob? Did they hear Bob? No, they have assumptions. They go with the assumptions. Did they hear Jesus? What he had to say? No, they had an assumptions and they crucified him. So now there was this guy, oh gosh, Rosenberg or something that created the idea of nonviolent communication. When you actually ask them, what are their needs? Because people who are happy, they don't go and attack someone else.

They don't go and rape and kill. They are inherently already wounded and suffering and in pain. Now, if they, if their pain was heard and was perhaps suited in one way or the other, if they were helped, maybe they wouldn't have the urge to go and rape and burn. See, happy people. Don't. Don't do that. They are unhappy. They think they're lacking something. They believe maybe they're lacking a territory or they're lacking oil or they're lucky. You know, they in the state of luck of, of insecurity, of not being enough of, you know, and they believe that if I have more oil and I steal them from somebody else, then I will be eventually I will be safe and worthy.

This all comes from this. What? Bob says. The ego, the sense of insecurity and vulnerability, sense of separation and unhappiness. Do you think that the impressions of culture is stronger than the personal to someone's identity, what they consider themselves to be? Because like you hear, I don't know what you're talking about, but when you have the warring countries where like they're told from generations and generations, these people took your land. You know, like hate these people. Yeah. And they're like, these people took my hand and it goes on for like generational. Yes. Yes. Do you think that's a stronger impression than even the personal stories that you might tell you?

Because it's like they, you can't DNA. Yeah. You can't even distinguish them. You know, they inseparable, like one becomes the other. The way Bob is actually explaining beautifully the way how the identity of personality comes about. It includes the conditioning. It includes the culture. It includes the. Religious. Religious. Religion. It includes the race. It includes even very subtle, invisible beliefs that your parents may be harboring about. Yes. Like the whole universe contributes to that outcome that I may be prejudiced against whatever other races or nations or, you know, the neighboring countries or, you know, this, these are the things that you can't even really trace back because the whole universe contribute.

But definitely culture is part of it. Because as Bob says, it is all about words. In some countries, you have like 17 different words for the snow in Eskimo culture. So they all conditioned to focus the attention on the snow. They are all experts on the snow. What people in California know about that? Nothing. That's people. They may never even seen it. So their conditioning will be around completely different topics because they will be having different language. The studies of ancient languages or. Ex languages that extinct. They show and reveal how different worldview and how different universe these people were projecting collectively. They were experiencing magic.

They were experiencing like miraculous healing because of their language and because of their beliefs and because of the conditioning. So, yes, the culture is totally, totally part of the personality. It's all mind stuff. All mind stuff. Even see the shame that we can have. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And so that's the culture. It's all about the culture. It's all about the culture. It's all about the culture. It's all about the culture. That's cultural. And how big impact it has on the on the growing young person or, you know, the the fashion, you know, like this century, there is a fashion of being kind of liberated sexually couple of hundred years ago, the fashion was that you shouldn't even show the pleasure.

You know, this this moods the collective cultural moods, you know, this this time that we are growing up, women should be liberated and. should have jobs and careers. Three hundred years ago, they shouldn't even have the right to vote or education. They had different roles and they would have different language and they would have different outlook on themselves, different self conceptual image. So it is all included, all mind stuff, everything conceptual, everything on the level of beliefs. And what's wrong with right now, if you don't think about it, ask yourself that and see what you can say without a thought. And Becky is in month in the 16th century.

He says everything is perfect. You resolved in the unborn Buddha mind. He called it the unborn mind. And when you before you could start a reason, one of the things resolving in themselves, you know, your parents were looking after anything like that. Nature resolves itself. And that's when our problems start. When the mind was born, when we learnt words. At about the age of two. Ten. Eight. Two and a half or somewhere like that. Before that little child, if he's hungry or cry, if he's happy or gurgle, you know, might say what a seeming chance, but he's not bound into it for days or weeks.

He'll change. He'll be crying one minute and laughing the next. But leave everything as it is. And the mind wasn't born till you're about two, two and a half. Understand that. Till you learnt words. Before that nature was resolving itself. Out there in nature where there is no mind, no thinking. Earth rolling around the sun right now. We're facing away from the sun, so it's dark here. On the other side it'll be light. You think the earth is caring about that? Or the sun? They're not. Just happens spontaneously. It all goes on here when we discriminate with words. And that's what it tells you in the Bible.

In the beginning was the word. And you had no beginning until you learnt words. The first nine months you were in the womb and the next two years before you learnt new words, there was no beginning for you. Because you don't remember it, you can't say. In the beginning was the words and the word was with God. And the word was God. That's all God is, is a label or a word we put on it. We call it God. We call it Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, whatever, God knows what. All sorts of labels we put on it. But they're only words. I'm just pointing to that one essence that you are.

Is that, is the one essence. And everything is that and you are that. Let me know. We learnt words. The words are not the real. Believe in the words. We suffer. What suffering is there when you're in deep sleep? Where are the words? They're in abeyance. As soon as you wake up, what happens? Words start again. And all yesterday's problems or the few conceived conceptual future problems, they'll die. They're gone. The problems of the day come up through the word. And we beat ourselves up with the word, which is not the thing. Words can be very useful. They're not the enemy. We've taken them to be the enemy.

But they're not the enemy. They're very useful. But they can be self-destructive too when we believe in them, the way they're functioning and the opposite. When we're utilising the word, it can be very useful to build something or do this or do that. But when you say, poor me, you know, I'm not good at it. I'm not good at it. I'm not good at it. good enough, or I'm fearful, causing all these conceptual images on. We're beating ourselves with the word. Something that's not real. Continue to do it if you want. But a little bit of investigation and see for yourself, it falls away. I think so too.

Silence is good too. Every sound appears in that silence, the background is silence. Every movement appears in the stillness. That's the basic screen. Space and sound. Stillness and sound. Now, what's the very first thing you see? You'll say, I see you, or I see that, or I see that. The very first thing you see is space. The closest thing to your eyes is space. But we don't notice it. But without that space, can you postulate a space? Can you think of anything outside of space? What would it be in? All the words, things in it, and all the goings on, all the activities appear in that space.

Now, the space, the definition of reality is that which never changes. And that's what doesn't change. The space, because you can't cut it, you can't do anything with it at all. You can't even put it. Everything is the content of space. Space has never been corrupted, or contaminated, or anything that appears in it. Like reflections in that mirror behind you. What's in the mirror? You have a look at it, you see it's full of reflections. Now look at those reflections. You can't say they're not there. Go up and try and grab a reflection. What'll you grab? Nothing but the mirror. So you can't say they are, and you can't say they are not.

They're just appearances in the mirror. The mirror's never been corrupted or contaminated by any of the reflections appearing in it. It's a poor analogy because it couldn't reflect anything if it didn't appear outside the mirror. But with this we'll be pointing to, it's all within it, there's nothing outside of it. No separate thing right there. It's all appearing in that space like awareness. But it's got no substance or any independent nature, it can't stand on its own. As the Buddha told you, there's no self-nature to anything. And there is no static point anywhere. Try and grab a static point, have a look at your body and see if you can find a static point there.

This is where it all begins. It might seemingly appear to be so, investigate it and see how static it is. That's why they say this Maya or illusion is transient. It's constantly changing, it only lasts a moment, it's all spontaneous, it's not time-bound. Time has a beginning, a middle and an end. But this, can you say that when this moment begins now, you can say it has its beginning, its ending. It has its ending, its beginning and it's all spontaneous, there's no time attached to it at all. So you are that spontaneous functioning. No beginning, no end. Isn't that what eternity is? We think it's a million light years or something like that, but that had a beginning somewhere along the line.

It'll have an end. But when does this moment begin? Find a static point where it starts. And seeing it's transient, everybody in this room is not the same person that walked into this room. There's thousands of cells dying in that body right now and being replaced. You don't realise what is happening. So your body's changed. And even the thoughts you have might have changed, you might have heard something. So it's all transient, nothing static. It's eternity. Nothing changing. And you can't be anything other than that. Let it rest in its uncontrived singularity. That's a Buddhist quote. It's a singularity, non-dual, one without a second. Uncontrived.

The only thing that can contrive it is a thought when you think up something else. Or the great perfection is non-conceptual awareness. Drop your concepts, thoughts and ideas off that awareness. And that's the great perfection. If it's perfection, what can you add to perfection? Nothing. If you could add something to it, it wouldn't be perfection. What can you take away from it? Nothing. You take at least a little thing away, it wouldn't be perfection. So you are that which nothing can be added to, nothing can be taken away. You can just experience as you're going about your day, how it is to actually be that space-like awareness without defining yourself in that world.

And what you take away is actually space-like awareness looking out of your eyes. Like what's behind your eyes is just space. You give it back to itself. Space is looking, space is hearing, space is seeing. And the self-definition or the conceptual image will come back. Just park it aside and just look at this moment as space, as what you are. Without definition. As that I am. I am is looking out. Existence is hearing, seeing, tasting, touching, smelling. Then nothing's personal and everything's easy. It's a habit will come back. That habit of assuming the personhood or identity or habit of translating and interpreting everything as relevant to me, happening to me, for me or because of me.

If that habit is recognized, and it takes probably a little bit of reconditioning because it has been conditioned for so long time that one recognition is probably not going to be enough. It has to be recognized moment to moment. But if you actually attracted to this, if you are resonating with this, that attraction will take you to the point when you will actually, you will look for more of that frequency. You will look for more of that stillness, that heart essence, that recognition. And until the point that looking is not required anymore because what's looking is exactly what you are looking for. So the seeking drops off.

When the seeking is there, yeah, keep seeking. Who's looking? When the seeking drops, it becomes just this. Just this. So it's... Well, it's caught up with us. Time has caught up with us. Yeah, so thank you everyone. Keep looking. Thank you. Thank you. That's right. Thank you.
