Ready to go? The usual procedures, so you know. So everybody knows each other. Tony, Victor, Olga, Julia, Jane, Terry, Kathy, Bill, Justin, Mark, Rob, Naresh, Tess, Celina, V, Kalyani, Ram, Ayn, Brian, Kat, Tony, Bill. Good to see you all. Some of you go back a long way. The longest is Brian over there in the corner. He goes back before I ever was looking into any of this stuff. In the Sheeran Sheds. 64 years ago. He can tell you some tales about that as well. I want to hear it. We're going to tell the stories now. Celina was saying about yesterday, there was a lot of people who were in the room.
There was a lot of love in the room. You can say the same about today. Now understand that. Where does that love come from? This room was an empty room before you people came into it. Same as that room up there yesterday. If there's felt any love felt, or any love in the room, it must come from everybody that brought it in. And you must realise that the love is not very far away. So the focus generally, as usual, goes onto the opposite. It's the same as there's plenty of light in this room. And behind it all is darkness. And behind the darkness is the light.
And when you look into it, none of it can be separated. It's all the one essence appearing as everything. And that's the great mantra, or the great word, I am that. You are that. This is that. Everything is that. And recognise that. In our language we say, that's the chair, that's the carpet, that's the tree, that's the flower, that's you, that's me. We know it already, that everything is that. But we've put the labels, or the word. And look at the word and see the word's not the thing. The word's never the real. Take the word water. Can you drink the word? Can you swim in the word?
Will you drown or wash in the word as it comes? Is the word fire burning your mouth as you speak it? So you see, every other word is like that, a label we put on some of the patterns, shapes and forms that appear in this manifestation. And that's what they tell us in the Advaita Matrim script. In the Matrim scriptures. We call it Sat Chit Ananda. Existence, Consciousness, Bliss. Anyone who's not existing right now or be, now you recognise, I'm existing, I'm here, I'm here. Anyone who's not conscious or aware right now. And again, you realise, no, I'm not unaware, so I must be aware.
Anyone who's not happy to be. So see, the simplicity of what we're missing. Existence, Consciousness, Bliss. You are that already. Everyone who's existing, everyone who's conscious, everyone having to be. The other two factors that we're finding are the Nama-Rupa. The name and the form. And haven't we all got names? And we've got these particular patterns, body, and see that applies to everything else? In this room and outside. We've got names and forms. Labels. So we're pointing out that the word is not the thing. It tells you in the Bible, in the beginning was the word. The word was with God. The word was God. We've got all these conceptual ideas, convoluted ideas, what we think God is.
We realise that it's not that same God, it's just a word. It's just a label. And until it wasn't any beginning, until we took that word on, all those words on, and have a look at that and see that's real. And then you won't remember your birth. You're going to know, I can't remember my birth. Yet, you were going on forming in the womb for nine months. And for the next two years after your birth, you didn't have any words, you didn't have any labels, you didn't know anything about it. Go back and have a look at that. How far can you go back in your memory?
You can go back only as far as when you started to remember words and learn about words. Your earliest memories and experiences have got these words going. So you might see that saying, you might have read that saying, in the scriptures many times, but it's got a different light on it. You didn't begin until the word came. And that being is, when we started learning words, and look at that too, you weren't born with any words. Every word you've ever spoken, or ever liked to speak, has been learned. And you're probably learning new words to this day. Lots of words in the dictionary that I don't know, so I'm picking up.
I'm forgetting, forgetting a lot of words. You see, the word is not the thing. It's just a label, or a pattern, or a name we put on the pattern, shapes and forms. Now the patterns, the shapes and forms, they call us, this manifestation, is made up of shapes and forms. All appearing on that silence, the stillness, on the emptiness. That's the basic screen, in which everything is appearing. There's stillness, or silence, emptiness, and emptiness. I would have told you it was a cognising emptiness. Emptiness is a fuse within an intelligence, or a knowing, or a cognising. That's what cognising is. He made the statement, emptiness is form.
Pointing out you, I, and every other pattern in this moment, are forms, are emptiness. He turned it around, he said emptiness is form, and the form can't be anything other than the emptiness. And that's all. And this is where we take in the idea that we're separate entities, individuals, and persons. That's the wondrous capability of this intelligence. It can animate and make these sentient forms, actually, and we've taken them to be real. We've learnt words, like I, or me. We've taken to believe we are the word, I. But you can't do much with the word, can you? I or me, what is it? It's just a couple of sounds.
And that's all it's supposed to be, sounds. That are seemingly appearing in, on the stillness and silence. But you can't do much with it, so what have we done? We've added to it events, experience, and things. Some of the things that have happened in our life are added onto that word. I am Bob, I'm an Australian, I'm a good fellow, or I'm not so good, I've had a bad childhood. But things have happened to me. All these concepts are added onto the word. And the energy of belief has gone in, so I've seen you formulated a conceptual image. A me, which is a conceptual image.
An I or a me. And then say you can't do much with that I or me or so. So we've added all these concepts onto it. I'm Bob the Australian, a good fellow. And related to this image, constantly reinforced with belief, not realizing it's a dead image. Because that concept right here about yourself, isn't what is right now. Or you're constantly related to what happened yesterday, or last week, or last year, the things that have happened to you. To say, let me give this form some reality. So we call it, constantly related to this dead image. And that's what we call the self-center. The reference point or the ego.
And understand that. We're always relating to this ego. I like it, I don't like it, it's good, it's bad, it's fearful. Relating to this image, that's based on past events, that's the dead image. See why we can't keep up with life. Life is transient. It's constantly changing. And they tell you that in the scriptures, too. The manifestation is Maya, or illusions. And it's transient. It's constantly changing. Have a look at that, and realize that body you walked into the room with, is not the same body that you walked into the room with. There are thousands of cells dying in it right now, I'm being all close.
And you know that, because it's not the same body you had five years ago, or ten years ago, or the last. We think it's the same. But hasn't the body changed? Haven't the ideas about yourself, the concepts you've got about yourself changed? If something good happens, you might add that on. If something bad happens, you might add that on. So you're not good enough, or you're good enough, or whatever. Yet, we're all our conceptual patterns, or images, what we relate to, as making our seeming reality, an ego. And there are many people down through this world, many people down through the ages, that pointed that out.
If you look in the ancient texts and that, they said that the ego is the problem. And they say you've got to stamp on it, you've got to kill it, you've got to struggle with it, you've got to push it away, you've got to fight with it. But there are a few that have really understood it, and said the ego doesn't exist. It never did exist. We've taken on an erroneous belief. That's why they call it ignorance. Not that we're dull or stupid. But meaning we are ignoring our true nature. Ignoring the actual reality that you are. And we're focusing into this conceptual image and relate to that constantly.
And you can see from that where all your psychological suffering comes from. For it's only me that can be fearful. It's only me that can be anxious, or unhappy, or depressed, guilty, jealous, envious. All these concepts we've taken on, an energy of belief going out. And we're constantly relating to this image. Now, they explain non-duality as one without a second, not two. In other words, it's all there is. People are saying, I don't want this non-duality. Alright, you've been functioning dualistically, you're going to stay in a dualistic motion. Or I don't want duality. But can there be duality without non-duality? Can there be non-duality without duality?
We're taking a stance in fiction again. Something like that. So we've got this conceptual image that we're relating to constantly. And that's the boundaries we've put ourselves in. An image based on past events, conditioning, and experiences. A dead image. We're relating to a past event, experience, and conditioning we can't keep up with life. He uses the analogy of the river. Take a bucket of water out of the river. You've got that bucket on the bank. What happens to it? It becomes still, stagnant. It's dead. It's finished. What happens to the river? The river is continually flowing. It might be in flat, even spaces where it's hardly moving.
It might be rushing down rapids. Or through forests, where the trees are on either bank. Or sandy beaches. All sorts of things are happening to the river until it merges back into the ocean again. And that water is absorbed from where it appeared from in the first place. And have a look at that and see you go outside on a cloudy day. Would you say the sun's not in the sky? It appears cloudy and dark and dull, but you know the sun hasn't left the sky. You know that. Don't believe that the sun has gone away. You've experienced that. And you look at that and you ask yourself, what forms the cloud?
And you'll say the sun itself forms the cloud. Now all the sun does is shine. It's a cloud. It's a cloud. It shines of itself. And then the radiance of the sun, the heat of the sun, what does it do? It evaporates water. That water rises and condenses and forms a cloud. And what happens to that cloud? If the wind blows and cools it down, it'll disperse. It'll come down as rain. It's gone up very high. It'll come down as hail or ice or snow. So the water is taken on different patterns, different forms and different appearances. It's still the same essence. That's some of that radiance of the sun in which this manifestation appears.
If it wasn't for the light, could you see it in the darkness? You couldn't. Now what's happening in that body? Have a look at that body you call you. It's formed in the womb. What from the essence of the food that's eaten by your father, the prana that formed the sperm, the essence of the food eaten by your mother and the prana that formed the mother. A pattern called an ovum or an egg. And the sperm knew what to do. It swam to the ovum, implying it was the fusion of the innate intelligence and knowingness. And when those two come together, that cell doubled and redoubled and formed the little embryo, the little fetus.
You think you're running the show as a separate entity, as individuals, but what were you doing about it then? Did you say, well, I'd better grow a few fingers or a heart or a lung? You realise now you had no saying. You can't even remember it because you didn't have any. You didn't have any capacity of reasoning at that stage, or words. But it grew and it's what you are today. So that light that we likened to the sun, they likened it to the sun. How did that come into this body? Well, there was energy in that sperm and ovum. There was energy in the little embryo as it formed.
An innate intelligence energy that knew what to do. And that intelligence through the umbilical cord in your mother formed in that little embryo you are today. And that light of life came into it. And Christ and lots of others down through ages said, I am the way, I am the truth, I am the light. Don't hide your light behind a bushel, the light of everything. It's that light of intelligence or knowing and it's shining through your eyes right now. You've got a light, try and block it out. Got a little crack in the curtains or wherever you block it out, it'll shine through it. It finds an aperture to shine out.
And what's that aperture shining out of now? Out of your eyes. And if that light of life wasn't in that, shining out of those, what would you be able to say? Do, see, hear, or what? It is that life. It is the intelligence. It is the activity of knowing. It's not your body, it's not your mind. They're patterns of the form that it's expressing through. And if it didn't have a body to express through, could it express? So you don't have to be dirty of the body or quick of the mind. You don't have to be a dirty of the body because it's playing up.
It's been falling apart like this one is. As it came into being, so it'll wear out or break down like everybody else. But where does that light go? You think you're going to reincarnate or come back as another life or this, that or the other? Or is it going to merge back into the light of life that it is? And other patterns, shapes and forms will come. And the wondrous way it does pattern, shape and form, have a look out there in nature. You love life, as you say, the love was in this room, the light was in this room. You love life the way it is.
Look at the flowers, the trees, the plants, everything. Doesn't that imply that nature itself is suffused with a wondrous intelligence? Not some old guy out there on a cloud that you pray to and do this and do the wrong thing. He's got a bit of shit out here. It's expressing through every pattern. So it's nearer to you as the poet said, closer than your breathing, nearer than your hands and feet. You don't have to search for it, try and acquire it and get to it and become something. It's not a becoming. It's a being. Anyone who is not being right now, you really know I'm being.
But you're thinking, and it's true if you're looking along those lines, you think we'll become something if we do this practice, satsang or something. And becoming will not be being. It'll be a conceptual image of it. There is only being or life in this manifestation. There is nothing ever separate from it. Nothing that ever was separate from it or ever will or could be separate from it. Recognise that and take your stance there. Take your stance in what you already are. Don't think you're going to become something if you do this practice. You've all been, you wouldn't be here if you hadn't been practising along those lines before.
People that haven't looked at this stuff, haven't heard about it, don't come to those things. They go out there struggling with life and some of them might manage to get through. If their ego doesn't take it too big, and they can manage to get through, they suffer a certain amount, but it's no big deal. Most of us that have come to here, we get here because we've beaten ourselves up with the word or things have happened to us that made us English. Turned us around to look at different things. And I'm thankful it happened that way. As Brian will tell you, way back 50 or 60 years ago, whatever it was.
I wasn't the greatest person in the world. I was a bastard. I know a good one. And something's moved me and changed me around. And I know a lot of people in this room have had a taste of it. Some more than others. So I'll let you all have a go. And I hope you all do get in and have a go. Don't be afraid of speaking or saying something. Say how it is you're doing. What has happened to you, if anything. If it hasn't happened to you, let me know that too. But it's not just me. That's what I want to understand. I wouldn't be here without you people.
And you wouldn't have been here if you'd seen me 50 or 60 years. Sitting on the corner of the Hotham, down in the corner of Spencer Street. Waiting for a ship to come in from the shore there. I knew somebody on the crew would have the entrance fee to get in the pub. People walked past spitting on me because I was dirty, unshaven. Slobbering at the mouth. Something's taken over and changed me. And it can do the same for you. So thank you and get into it. Thank you. Thank you. Could you explain what that means? Well that's talking about that life that is in you.
Is living you, expressing and patterning, shape and forming as what you are. As that pattern. And each pattern is a unique expression of that. There's no two fingerprints that's thrown. There's no two bodies. There's no two leaves on the trees. There's no two things that are the same. That's the wondrous intelligence of it all. It can pattern, shape and form in all its diversity and all its variety. So I know that. That livingness that you are now, it's living and expressing you. It's making you take that breath you just took. It's beating your heart. It's growing your hair and your fingernails. It's digesting your food.
What are you doing about any of that? Is it happening naturally, effortlessly and spontaneously? But when it comes to thinking, we've taken on all these beliefs. I can't do this or I'm not good enough. And the worst one we put upon ourselves, after all, I'm only human. We put that one on ourselves. Realise what you call yourself is a human being. And if you believe in a God, what do you call God? The Supreme Being. But if you took that word supreme off, and took the label human off, and tried to separate the beings without a label, and realising that you're not going to say it, that this idea that I've got to become this being, that you are what already is the totality.
That's why they call it ignorance in the scriptures. We are ignoring our true nature. And taking on the belief, which our parents, schools, society and nations reinforce for it all the time. Your little Johnny or your little Billy. You've got to do this, you've got to do that. Until it comes around, I am little Johnny. I am little Billy. I am this person. But the person is not the reality. Person comes from a Latin or Greek word, persona, the mask. Pointing out we've got this conceptual image, or mask. A mask of concepts, thoughts and ideas we put upon ourselves. And taking ourselves to be that and function from that idea.
So you see, when you recognise you are the life, you are being lived. That's what Christ told you, I am the way, I am the truth, I am the life. He wasn't talking about himself, he was talking about that sense of presence. Everyone knows that sense of presence translates through the mind as the thought I am. Could you have that thought I am if you weren't relating it to being or presence? You couldn't. We take I am to be the person. This is a conceptual image. And we just lose sight of our true nature. Take on these beliefs. Look at the word belief. Look up your dictionary, look up the word belief.
It's an unquestioned acceptance of something in the absence of reason. Reasoning all this out with a concept. Acceptance of an alleged fact. All these facts you've taken on board from your school, your parents' society are alleged. Question them. And the truth ones will reveal themselves and the fictitious ones will fall apart under investigation. But they haven't because we haven't investigated. Acceptance of an alleged fact without positive knowledge or proof. Now have a look at that. See whether it will stand up to the investigation. The false cannot stand up to the investigation. That falls apart. It falls apart under investigation. See if you can negate your own being.
Say I am not. You can say it forever. But in saying it you must realise something capable. Look up this couple, something capable there that's enabling to say I am. Look at that again. You've got this conceptual image. And believe that conceptual image is what we are. What happens when the life essence goes out of that body? How many thoughts can a corpse have? How many images does a corpse have? How many insights or variety? You can't do anything without that life essence. So it's that life essence that's doing everything. Without it you couldn't have a thought, you couldn't have a word. Like the computer is a good one.
You've got a computer there, it's got all that information in it. Amazing amount of wondrous information. Haven't got the power turned on. What are you going to get out of it? Nothing. If that life essence is not throbbing or pulsating or expressing through that body right now, how many thoughts, how many feelings, how many people can you hate, how many people can you love? What can you do without that life essence? So give credit where credit is due. It's not the entity you that's doing anything at all. It is that life essence, just the same as growing those trees out there that are sending their roots down into the earth to get their sustenance.
Forming the green, the buds, the leaves, the flowers, the fruit and everything on it. Go again and spread it in your law. Every thought you've ever had couldn't have had without that life essence. And they take my brain and my mind. What mind is there if you don't think about it? The brain is useless and that life essence is going through it. So like Christ you say, I am the way, I am the truth, I am the life. You are that life. So be what you are instead of what you believe you are. And that's the old scriptural saying, know the truth and the truth will set you free.
That's all that ends up. Recognise the truth. I am that. I am this. I am that. As Moses pointed out on the mountain, when he's sitting on the mountain wondering what he's doing, he's got a crowd of people down there that are in a hell of a mess. He's got to look after them. And he said, what are they going to do? And it came to him then. It wasn't anybody outside or anything that spoke to him or anything to say that. Innately it came into him. It came up the thought, you know. Write out these commandments, orders and let them abide by that. That'll give them a bit of a sense of living better.
So he wrote the commandment. He says, I've got to go back and tell my people about these things. What can I say sent me? And again that inner voice came to him. Tell them I am sent. That is my name. I am is my name. And Moses realised I am that I am. You can realise the same. We're all just an appearance. If the world's an appearance, if the world's an appearance, and we're just an appearance, what's the difference between a living appearance and an object? You know, we are objects, I realise. But you know something, it's a chair or table or something like that.
Is there any difference in reality? Not really. But in the rocks and things like that, in sentience, there's no sentience there. In this sentient being, the light is there. And the light is there. And the light is there. And the light is there. Life has a trolling through it all the time. It's good for them. But even the rocks, the world, and everything as it appears is transient. It's constantly breaking down and changing. Volcanoes are riding and exploding, imploding. Tsunamis going and things like that. It's all happening in life. All these different expressions. And they say, they're saying, there's only life. And I say, I don't tell you there's only life.
There's nobody who lives the life. That is all there is out there. There's sentience of life. Beings. And you are that. And you are that. When this pattern breaks down, it'll be cast aside in the corner like a dirty old rag. Thrown away. But the sentience, the sentience that was in it, has never been corrupted or contaminated or touched by anything. Other patterns are formed. This pattern will break down and be utilized. Microwaves will come into it and break it down and eat it. They are life forms. Life is continually living on life. You can pattern the expression all these wondrous ways in ways we probably haven't seen yet.
And still do it. All naturally and ethically. You say it beautifully about when you said there is no two blades of grass or two fingerprints. You're also talking about different capacities expressing through different bodies. How every animal has different capacities. And we have the capacity of reasoning. But everything else has unique expression, equally perfect and beautiful. There you go. See? People can meld it inside. Get into it. I liked how you said, well, yeah, know the truth and the truth will set you free. It doesn't say believe it. Doesn't, huh? And isn't that such an end or another way? Being, knowing and loving to be.
You're being right now and you're knowing right now and don't you love to be? Expressing through the name and form. The liar or the illusion. It's still only the liar. And the distinction you make between being and becoming also good. Because becoming is a story, right? It's like, okay, this idea that I have of what I'm going to become at some future time. Being, it just is. It's non-conceptual. Just right here, right now. There's nothing you can say about being. You can say a lot about becoming. You can tell all kinds of stories about becoming. But you can't say, well, I'm going to become this.
I'm going to become this. I'm going to become this. I'm going to become this. I'm going to become this. I'm going to become this. You can't say anything about being. Being, just is. Now you want to realize that nobody can do it for you. Nobody can tell you anything. How can one pattern that's just like an evidence in shadow on the screen tell you anything? What happens here is you're speaking of it and pointing at it. It might be picked up by another in a resonance or recognition of it. A word or a label and something might turn you around like that. turn this pattern around and start looking at these things.
And if you're coming along here and looked at them before, it might look differently. See it a little bit more because of what somebody says. And that's how it's been passed on down through the ages. Coming through seemingly somebody's mind, thoughts or ideas. They recognise their true nature and part of it. They've been called saints, sages, saviours and seers and people who have worshipped the messenger and missed out on the message. The messenger is nothing, he's just a pattern, an evident pattern on the screen like you and I are. But the message is the all, the truth, the truth that you are the beingness, the knowingness and the love.
What Ram just mentioned about being and becoming and that's I think is a pretty nice distinction about the presence of time. When you point out how time is only when you are thinking and there is no time when you're sleeping. There is no time for animals. They don't have any concepts because they don't have reasoning capacity. So we rely all our past and future on conceptual ideas that we have in the head, on memories. It's something that doesn't exist when we pause the thought. So to contemplate on that, on the idea of time and actually just knock it down, take it off the picture. Then you're left with the being.
Then you're left with what you were talking about. And when you say also pause the thought and see what's real. And then you're left with the thinking. Because the overlay of thinking on the experiencing, on pure being is what actually takes us away. I mean, seemingly, conceptually, it makes us dreaming. Like we're sitting here in this room and now I'm going to think about my friend somewhere far away and I have the mental picture and I have sound of the voice and I have all mental image of that person and it is not there anymore. It is not here. So it is the whole thinking, the whole conceptualizing, is basically overlaying reality with the veil of dream.
And that only happens by the byproduct of reasoning, which is relating everything to the memory and relating everything to myself. And it's totally unnecessary. I mean, it's a beautiful, functional, it's a miracle of the mind, being able to visualize, fantasize and memorize. But when it is recognized for what it is, we can use that instead of being used by it, instead of being completely stolen and kidnapped and gone in the mental activity. And of course, the me who are being stolen or taken will be the dream me, because the real me is, it can never ever go anywhere. It is the basic screen on which everything happens, including mental noise.
I've been seeing more and more lately how this is dreaming. This is dreaming. It's beautiful dreaming. Amazing dream. And what you're going back to what you were saying about becoming and all that. This is yeah, I don't know how to explain it as well as you guys can, but I'm seeing it more now. Yeah, stop talking and thinking there's nothing you won't be able to know since in mixes. Yeah, because it's only thinking that takes us seemingly away from the knowing the knowing of the heart. Yeah, and what you were saying about becoming now that I showed you earlier that Jim Carrey and me and I love that too, because to me it was never enough.
I always had become more present and more still and more quiet and more evolved and more enlightened. Yeah, there's always becoming more and that just kills no more. No more of that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What a freedom never to need to go anywhere else. It's just savoring this moment as it is. Moment to moment. Yeah. It's a miracle and we miss it out because we conceptually go to some future time when I will eventually arrive when I will work on myself enough, or I will be less unlovable. Yeah, yeah what a beliefs and how the future just never comes out in a way. think it would like never never i'm seeing that more and more it's just never does that does and then there's no future anyway now and what happens the habit of conceptualizing and moving to the imagination gets stronger and stronger it can be only broken right now like right now really being here now instead of going to becoming future past whatever because the more we stay here now the more of the habit of being really connected with the reality is getting stronger rather than the habit of running away with the thoughts we bring you a paper a short statement what's wrong with right now if you don't think about it there you go ask yourself that that's cool and then have a look and see what you can see without it realize you haven't disappeared without the thought you haven't stopped reading heart hasn't stopped beating functioning is still going on without the thought the thought must appear on that so realize what you are is prior to thought beyond the mind higher than the mind and if you think there's a mind show me this thing you call mind we say my mind what are you talking about well all mind is thoughts thinking and what are thoughts you thoughts are a vibration a movement of energy and what are you relating to if there's no mind and who's relating to me there's no me no mind who does that leave you try and negate that presence awareness that beingness if you can you know the silence there there might be a lot of chatter going on in each pattern drop that chatter off for a moment what is there without the thinking and you had taste of it all to through your life you realize that sense of presence is a sense of being well or well-being nothing wrong anymore and then you get the idea that taste of what we talked about earlier the love that is in this room not the male female relationship which we're always in strife with a lot of the time but the love of being and recognizing that being is here you recognize it everywhere else and the capacity of hating comes up less than this mind has the ability to your mind has the ability to give what about you?
what would you want of other person's if you're gonna take on a mental concept of you so would have you've got into concept of them which you will have and you'll never mental concept about yourself which concept would be wrong and he realizes no concept is right because all the concept this is a mental construct this whole R fight or an original and I meant your mother mental construct this thought that there was what would you want all the other persons what would you hate or disliked? why do someone say? I don't know why because I'm probably inspired? why I never received the search. Do you want to miss?
I can't do that. Do you so happy? or dislike about the other person without a concept and all that evaporates if you recognize the true nature and i'll say again live and let live i love what you said about that you know about the the hate and all that that i would love to hear you more say say more about that if you love it you take it it's yours there's there's um everything is so perfect exactly and that's what they call them buddhism they give it in one sentence here the great perfection the great perfection is non-conceptual awareness so again that awareness is with you right now might be concepts going on drop the concepts and you are the great perfection now what does perfection mean can you add anything to perfection if if you could it wouldn't have been perfection can you take anything away from perfection if you can it won't be perfection or the absolute whichever way you like can you add to the absolute can you take away from it absolutely you can't you are the absolute separate yourself from anything if you can and that's all our problems arise from the idea of separation but it is the one essence appearing pattern and shaping forming and expressing as everything so you can't isolate that seemingly personal identity you got there from yourself though you think you can yes come on there's more voices in this room that's what we need to know about how could any of us do it better than you so bob once once you remember yourself you'll never forget yourself no i haven't patterned by time might send me experience you know you meditate how can you even if you try you can't you keep turning up presence awareness but then who is it who remembers and forgets because that one i've seen i've seen and heard people coming here and they say oh i'm clear i've got it i don't need to come here anymore and now they're in the misery and suffering because the one who have got it is not the one you're looking for the one who thinks i'm already enlightened is the problem the one who remembers about the true nature that very one is a problem because the realization said it's really finding out that there's no one to remember to be enlightened to be clear it's just pure space expressing us every pattern this and every everyone else so there is even even the idea of oh will i remember will i forget is it's another thought it doesn't matter it's not it an insight can liberate you until somebody comes along to claim it then you're screwed beautiful beautiful exactly can really liberate you unless somebody comes and claims it and then you're screwed and then you're screwed tell us about separation this is such a nice line how you see that you can't be separated as the body you can't be separated as the mind as the thought i can't think of it how you separate yourself from the air you breathe yes that's right yeah if you think you're separate trying separate and you might last without the air you see it's not the body or the mind the body's made up of elements air earth fire water space try and separate yourself get off the earth get out of space take the air out of your body take the fire the body temperature take the water the body's 80 percent water they're not separate from any of those elements at all and the same with the mind the mind is word thought around here and it was never created um never happened it was never created no there's no creator no creation and no creature we are all creatures that seemly created and creation there's no old guy out there on the cloud creating anything who created the creator i think there's a question it's just a spontaneous eminent in that space and stillness the shakti or energy suddenly arises for subtly vibrates in it spontaneously in that vibration the vibrating patterns of energy forms this manifestation and everything and the way it's patterning shape and form it implies a fuse with wondrous amazing intelligence it's able to pattern shape and form in all these different aspects so it's not something something static and dead.
It's created. But there's nothing, as I say, created about it because it's all spontaneous. It's all transient, as they tell you. It's constantly changing. It's the same as your body's changing. The wood will go down the water, the throat, and it's changing every day. They'll dig up parts, they'll put new parts in it, and the tree outside will be changing. Something like that came along last night and I need a few of these, or a few of these will fall on the ground, or a bit of bark will fall off. So it's all spontaneous. No time. Time is a mental concept. Is there a past if you don't think about it?
Or pause the thought, what can you say without a thought? You can't say there's a past or a future. Then I'll say, oh, I was in the past. I'll say, well, if you're in the past, try and live a moment ago. Try and actually go back and live yesterday. It's only a conceptual image you've got in your mind now. The same with the future. You can answer it, but you anticipate and imagine what you have to live after you leave here. It might come true, it might not. Going to Sophia's. Going to Sophia's for lunch and cake. Yeah, we anticipate and imagine, it might happen, it might not.
Without that anticipation and imagination, you can't live in the future at all. You can call it, you can't put a creator on it. If there's a creator, how did the creator come about? Was it formed in some world? Did it come out of an egg? Did it come out of the moisture, as they say, where all the life forms come from? There must have been a wonderful worm somewhere that created the creation. So basically it's a mystery. It's a mystery. It doesn't happen. It's just a spontaneous event. Not a mystery. Maya. See it, enjoy it, wonder at it. In Raybhugita, they call it thought formation.
Everything is a thought formation that is being believed. And so it appears. And thought is just a vibration. In science, there's a conundrum. Why does anything exist? Why does it exist? So is there like an equivalent question just going on that idea of mystery? Why is there intelligence? Well, not intelligence, but energy or activity. Why is there activity? Why not? Yes, that's the answer. So that's the mystery. Yes. But it's not a mystery that you know that you are. No. I would love to hear you say more about the, um, that nothing existing without a thought. You know, that... Sorry, just on that. So why is there a knowing?
Huh? I mean, why is there a knowing? Why not? Yeah, the why... The why question is sort of the... Yes. Energy wanted to know itself, didn't it? You needn't put that... You needn't put that term on. You haven't got the thought of not... of knowing. Have you stopped knowing? So you don't need a thought to say it's there. No, but... You can't negate your beingness or the knowingness or the loving to be. You can't negate your existence. You can't say I am not. You can shout it out forever, but it doesn't stop you from being. Not that... I don't think the why question negates it.
The why question just sort of... Takes you away to the mind. That's all it does. The why question is the furthest way to go to the conceptualizing. It takes you away from that immediacy into the thoughts, the stories. Yeah, but that's part of the knowing as well. Totally, totally. It's a beautiful, beautiful capacity. But when it's recognized for what it is, the why is not that important anymore. It's just another distraction, another way of entertaining. To be entertained. If you have it's a mystery and you'll never understand it, then you can relax. You can still ask why and see where is the thought formation going on and more maya appearing, more dream appearing.
Justification, explanation. It's gorgeous, it's beautiful. But when you start believing it or getting really deep into it, that becomes a suffering. It's like a computer understanding or a dog understanding. Humans just as unlikely as computers ever going to understand anything. Or the weather. Yeah, it's an interesting story. It's an impossible question. The interesting question is where are we located from? Where is the question being asked from? Oh yeah, it's the weather. And that's something that can be investigated. Who wants to know is another one. I knew you were going to say it. I didn't mean it in a nasty way. I know, I know. I was going to say it, but I didn't mean it.
And it's good that this question comes up because, gosh, everyone has this question. I've been asking it for 20 years. Nothing wrong with asking the question, you know, why. I think it's a fabulous question. I mean, knowing. Where the hell does knowing come from? What is knowing? Whether you're in a fixed location or a non-location, this knowing is generated by something. But in asking the question which you're not going to get an answer to, the whole bloody thing just really dissolves. But you don't stop knowing, do you? No. We will see what you call knowing. You say you couldn't say it without all that. It's all right.
As it says earlier, in the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God. The Word was God. Everything was made by Him by the Word. Without the Word, there was nothing made that was made. And you didn't begin until you learnt words. Yet you were around for nine months in the womb, two months walking around before you learnt anything. I'm getting caught up in the word knowing now. So how would you define that if you were to give the word? And then singling again, it says words. The way is beyond language. For instance, there's no yesterday, no tomorrow, and no today. And so you can't cancel them all out.
That's the great way. That's not difficult. Is knowing the same as sensing? What? Is knowing the same as sensing? Sensing, yeah. Sensing is a form of knowing. Because knowing is being modified by the senses to knowing of objects in a space, sounds in the space of hearing. But the knowing that Bob is talking about, knowing that you are, the presence awareness, is actually pre-sense. You don't really see your presence, you don't hear it, you don't taste it. But you know that it's there because without it you wouldn't be able to see, hear or taste. The word knowing sort of carries with it a knowledge which is like forms with it.
It is confusing. That's why they give it in three words. Sat Chitananda. Being, knowing and loving to be. And they're not three things, they're three aspects of one thing. Because the word knowing, that's right, is confusing. It suggests intelligence. It suggests that there is knowing of something. And then who is the knower? Yeah, that's why I said, what do you mean by knowing? You can get tripped up with words but the word's not the thing. What's wrong with right now if you don't think about it? If you're not using any words. And what do you know without the concepts? Non-conceptual awareness. Everyone will be able to relate to that.
It's like on a walk in the bush for a couple of hours and you look at your clock and you say, shit, I've walked for the last hour and a half. Everything has just been happening but for no one. There is no sense of knowing there. You don't know anything. When you're asleep it is all still happening but for a no one. It is a any construction or tool of the mind that's used to know anything obliterates or obscures the reality. But that doesn't happen when you go on a two hour walk and you look back and you see the headland and you say, jeez, I've covered some miles here and there's just no sense of anything.
It's just purity. And in sleep it's just purity. It's happening for no one. So when the sense of an I appears makes an announcement, here I am, it is actually not for anyone. That notion of an I is just like anything else that's happening. Difference. It's not really conceptual awareness when the notion happens unless you think that you are the I. It's just like a little jump. This notion of an I when it appears it's not for the meat and the bones. It's not for the body line. It's just like a tree. It's just like a pizza. It's just like a beer. It's just an appearance.
And then if you relate that to where you can actually see and actually experience like you're experiencing now perhaps more clearly on these long walks or when you were driving here you didn't think I didn't think Bill is pushing the brake. Bill is putting the blinker on the ship. I'm late for Bob's. He wants me to do a job. Am I going to be able to do it? That's when the I comes in and sort of takes over. But it's not of any relevance at all. It's all happening just for no one. It's in relation to what you were saying. If I know who or what I am the question of why doesn't arise.
It just doesn't. If I know I'll say it again If I know who or what I actually am the question of why doesn't arise. Now if I don't know who or what I am the question of why is secondary. The primary question or the most important question is who or what am I? Not why is this that way or why is that that way or why is everything manifesting the way it is or what is love or what is separateness or what is knowing or whatever. That's all secondary. The primary question is who am I and to stay with that and not get caught up in the conceptual whys that's never ending.
It's just never ending. Because there's no answer to it. Well apparently there's no answer to it. There's not. So that's the mystery. It's torturous to ask why. My mum used to do that when I was a kid. She called it the why game and it's in part probably what created this. It's the game that I'm left with when I realise there's no me. There's still a game going on. Realising there's no me and knowing who and what you are are two completely different things. Realising there's no me and knowing who I am. Are two completely different things. Okay so lead me down the path of knowing who I am.
Where does that go? I can't lead you down that path. I can point to it for you but it's up to you to look and see. Anything I say about it no matter what I say about it is not it. No matter what I say. So in the end you're left with sitting with yourself and looking for yourself. I've done that. There isn't anything there. I can't find anything. I'm comfortable and happy with the fact that being is what it is. And as thoughts arise there's a thought that says science has a question why is there something rather than nothing? It sort of seems to be a thought.
Why is there knowingness rather than nothing? I understand it's a thought and I don't need to follow that thought. That can be there as it is. I don't need to have an answer but I just... Curious. There's also curiosity in the sense of what does non-being look like? Sure. That's okay. All I would say is stay with that being that you're aware of. Or if you're aware that there's no me and you're just sitting with that presence all I would say is just stay with that. And nothing else. Just stay with it. You can't actually move away from it. Try not to be here. Try not to be now.
That's what happens all the time. That's what happens all the time. As you just said, you know, hopefully I can't find nothing. Well, if you can't find nothing, that's it. We're not happy with that. We've got to start the story again. They're just open. We're always trying to grow up and answer. And that is what opens up. But I see that question also because I heard that question from science. I heard that question from Alan Woods. And this question can actually do the job. It can get the computer hanging. It can stop the computer because you've got to stop the computer because you can't find the answer.
So the mind just shuts down. Why there is something instead of nothing? It would be so much energy efficient to have no appearance. So much more easy to actually just stay with the emptiness. And all that maya, so much effort. So, yeah, there are various answers to it if you want to play answer game because, you know, that loving to be aspect. Everything loves to be. Every form, every manifestation has this sat chitananda within it. It's expressing it as loving to be, as the other. Or like Victor said, you know, the only way for the consciousness to have a glimpse of itself, appearing as the other.
But those are conceptual answers. And you're right, Terry, just sitting with it and knowing it non-conceptually is so much more blissful. And even the whys. The whys are totally okay. Totally okay. But eventually what will happen it will exhaust itself. And if you like, that's a process. For some it's longer than others. But at some point you'll realize there is no answer in there. And I'm talking conceptually when I say that. Dualistically. There is no answer in there. And if you innately know that, drop it. Because at some stage that dropping will just happen anyway. If you're really staying with this, all those questions will drop off.
There's no questions. They'll just stop coming up. And it's not like it's an innate solid kind of machinery. Because for some reason I've never been interested in knowing who or what or who created any of this. It's just never arisen, ever. And it's never been a bother. So therefore the whys are pushed back from that, stepped back from that. And that's never obviously come up in there. They just don't bother me. So knowing doesn't actually work for me. I don't see it. I just see what's left when you're not thinking about it. And I think it sets a knowing out. It sets a knowing just because it's there.
Gosh, it's so much love. You people are just so sweet because Rob is actually knowing who he is. And this question doesn't burn him at all. It's not a burning desire to find out. He put it as a joke. As something light. Because it is light. I know that question. It is light also. But see how much love you received. So much great dance you received from people who don't know that you are there for many, many years already. Isn't that beautiful? That's the beauty of these meetings. That's when people come and give heart away to help one another, assuming that they come from the question.
But what else, what other assumptions can we get when I'm hearing the question? It's beautiful. It's a magical place because we don't have one big guru on the throne and everybody just listening and worshiping and kissing the lotus feet. You've got good socks on today too. Yesterday they weren't allowed with the suit. As Gadatta said, we are like grass growing. So we are no different to grass growing. How can we take ourselves seriously and suffer if we are the same as grass growing? Yeah. How cool is that? Don't have to worry about anything anymore. Even what I'm going to say next. Who cares? The question is what does bird shit never arises for the grass?
Yeah. So there is some future pacing happening here. I'm so grateful to be in this room. This is to me the most magnificent, magical place on earth. But after tomorrow, I won't be here so everyone speak loud for me because I'll be the fly on the wall on Sundays. I'm so grateful. If you find a good set of a mic that you think... I will do that today. Yeah, go for it. I will do that today. Maybe even two. Whatever. Because I've done investigation and there's not much you can find in Australia. Okay. You probably have. Maybe I'll get lucky. Maybe I'll find it online and I can ship it to you.
Go for it. There's got to be something. Yeah, we've asked in few shops. Good luck. I'm blessed as a plate of grass. Mmm. It's not such that there's anything shitting on earth there. Can't say the plate of grass isn't beaming. It is. But it hasn't got all that rubbish going on between the plate of grass's conceptual ears. Who am I? Or what am I? It just is. But how blessed are you? You can know yourself. Yeah, that's true. Yeah. Yeah. Just as well that plate of grass doesn't have the cow come. It makes that for the nutrients. It's all the cow. Yeah, it doesn't care about the cow coming though.
See, that's where I get a little caught up, I think, as a vegetarian. Okay. Because... So you know who you are. You're a vegetarian. Drop it. No, I'm not a vegetarian. Drop it. I'm not having any today at lunch. So you're a vegetarian. I'm not having any today at lunch. So... But when you were talking... That's what I find. Oh, it's fed out the meat again. Okay, clearly. Oops. Yeah, but we were talking earlier about sun sheets. Okay. So... It might be healthier for the body to eat meat. It might not. I don't know. Okay. So, the thing that drove me to go vegetarian in the first place was thinking about the animal suffering and not wanting to be...
Yes, and continuing on cow abuse, the most vicious abuse you can have. Yes, I know. Milk chocolate and milk in your clothing. I'm such a hypocrite. Kill the cow. That's compassion. Killing the cow and eating a beef is compassion. Having cheese and dairy. That's cruelty. No, I get it. I'm a hypocrite, okay? I'll be the first to admit it. But there's no... But you've got to understand that there's only life and life comes from life. Why don't we eat each other then? Don't we all? Yeah, the blade of grass comes up. Something eats the blade of grass. Something eats the cow that eats the blade of grass.
So it goes on. Life... It comes out a lot more life. That's all it is. When this life gets devoured by all the insects, bugs, and enzymes that take it away, and rot it and break it down. Now that they've got life. So life is continually renewing itself. Well most of the things that people eat don't want to die. Right. That's how I see it. Yeah, the sentience. That's where they're like, all right, so a rock has no sentience, but does a blade of grass have sentience? You know, so what I'm confused about is, no. Too much thinking. Too much thinking. Courtney, what are you doing?
People are asking, people are asking, people are asking how to find sadness in the war. So I mean, sentience is such a long question if you go forever. There it is. I don't know. What Bob just said, life lives on life. I mean, it's really important. What do we put in between? Or what do we do with what Bob just said? We start introducing confidence. We start introducing confidence. We start introducing confidence. And we start evaluating the situation. You can't eat cows, and you can't do this, and you can't do that. Life is just happening. It is just life living on life. That's it. And what do we do as conceptual caters?
We say, shit, no, you can't eat those cows. They know that the bulk is going to come through their head, and they're going to start producing hormones, which you're going to eat. I mean, it's all analysis. And evaluation. And putting a cover over what the reality of it is. Life lives on life. And we come in and evaluate it. And it creates problems. But it also, solutions also arise out of it. So it's just all happening. It's just really all happening. This eye is not even a nuisance. It's just making an announcement. And really, just who to? To no one really. It's just saying, here I am.
And take notice of it or not. But it doesn't really matter. But hey, I'll react. What happens shows forms touch both of us, because it's so. There's only life. There's only self. There's only the attitude. What can be taken away from us? It's going on in itself. All the things that are added and taken away are appearances only. They come and they go. But the life continues. Knowing that, what are you going to do? Do what they say. Abide as that. Abide as that. See where it takes you. Ah. So where does it take you? It's the sea. I'm coming back to these questions. Yeah.
Not the why questions. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. Yeah. Not the why questions. Yeah. Come back to the question of see where it takes you. With an understanding of abiding with that, we're not, we're probably not going to be cruel to animals. Not going to be what? Clueless. Clueless. Not going to be cruel to animals. Clueless. Clueless. If we're raising animals for food, we're going to do it in the best way we can either way.
Yeah. But then who decides what's best and what's worst. Well again, you're going moving about a future time that hasn't happened yet. hasn't happened yet, but I say, by it, we'll have to see what happens right now. It could be a curiosity to see what's going to unfold next. And the proper activity will come up to do what you think about. But you don't have to profess. Yeah, but that's... I know, it's just happening. Yeah, but we aren't lions. This is the point. We aren't lions. We have this... He's got to eat. We also have to eat. That's not me. No one ate me. Yeah, but what he's relating to is, Bob is saying it often in the Spiel, that what would you, if you didn't have concept about other one, what would you want from them?
Would you want to be cruel? Would you want to snatch, start wars or do anything? If you have no self, you have no investment in cruelty. And that's when you say, what would you want from another person? So all that rapes, all that cruelty that goes on around the world, is because of self-gratification. If there is no self to be gratified, you naturally come out from compassion rather than from cruelty. Unless you're uneducated and you don't know that you are participating in animal abuse, maybe then that's an excuse. Well, that's why it is, haven't we, because we don't know. It's the same argument as talking about if emotions arise, you know, are we going to pretend that they don't?
Are we going to sort of say, oh, I'm just the open space, and the, you know, I'm not the emotion? I mean, it's just bullshit. I mean, talking about animals, whether we take them out to eat them or whether we don't take them out to eat them, you know, it's the same story. You know, we get involved, we overlay those pure principles. You know, life lives on life. Nothing is happening. Yet we come in with all these mind tools and evaluation. We try and make it, you know, right. After this speech, I've probably lost half of my friends in this room. However, I just see it as something that's been suggested.
You cruel man. This is the interesting vegetarian debate, isn't it? Your boss is going to be cold with potato chips at lunch probably. Yeah, yeah. We don't know how sentient they are. A carrot screams, won't you? Yes, I am. I'm going to be trapping in the hot water. So does an ice block. So does an ice block and so does a crab, you know. Stick a recorder on them and you'll hear. It is about intentional suffering. It's about when Bob is saying that what would you want from another person if you don't relate it to yourself for the sake of self-gratification? It doesn't mean you're not going to kill bugs on your hands when you touch your hands.
But you don't do it intentionally. What is self-gratification? Ask Bob, what's self-gratification, Bob? Explain that. It's something that we've implemented over a grand principle. You know, that's like something extra that you've added to the purity. And you add something extra to the purity and you obliterate... No, if you think you're separate, you're probably going to suffer from the sense of unworthiness or some sort of sense of I'm not enough. And you try to add to yourself and accumulate and you try to become better, you're going to become more involved. And you do it on the expense of others because you compare yourself to others constantly.
So if you come up from that separate sense of self, unworthiness, you're going to do something about it. And this is where, you know, if you don't have a partner, you go and rape someone. And if you don't have the money, then you go and steal something. This is the self-gratification. If you think you separate yourself and you're not good enough and you try to improve, add, amass, accumulate, and all the other stuff that... Bob's explaining. So this is... If there is no sense of self, doesn't mean that the feelings will not arise. They will, but they won't hang on. And you won't be acting out of them because if the jealousy comes up, it will be gone within seconds or minutes.
You won't be able to act on it. Anything contrived... Unless you have a gun in your hand. Anything contrived is just something that's being added on. You know, it's just like a... It's like imagining that there's an eye. I mean, self-aggrandizement because I don't... Because I don't kill animals, but eat them. I mean, that doesn't make any sense to me. I just eat animals. Yeah, good appetite. Yeah. It's just the way it is. We always want to bring some extra, something extra in you. And then the purity of that, all of this talking just gets lost. And then you have to employ any tool of the mind, analysis, evaluation, intellect, whatever you obscure or...
I think sometimes you've got to be aware of projecting that the others are holding tighter than they are. I think that's the big thing that goes on. Are you projecting on a man that I'm saying that? No, I'm just saying... I don't care how it goes. I'm just lying about it. It's just something popped up now. But, no, just... Hey, Beth, Bill. I think I've talked a lot anyway. Bill, Bill. You crack down on your food deliciously, because it should comply with what you eat and if it's not linoleic. He has. He does not mind. Oh, that's game over. I ground up bees with ter pourśl peque, and we had bee paste with honey, and ground them up.
It was delicious. It's like eating witchetty grubs. What's the difference between a witchery? You know we quickly eat a witchetty grub, but the cow is just too big, it's too... Like in ewe fights, a kind of strange insane blame, you know all that. But a grub, you can just grab and eat it like it's been... I mean, a plum, or a carrot, like I said before. I don't know about you. You put little electrodes on it and it will go, it has a degree of, and it will track me in boiling water. So is that your basis for eating animals? Is that my basis for eating animals?
I don't really think about it. You don't, fair enough, you don't think about it. I eat the fish. And I eat the fish. Is that okay? And this is, Bill, you are so right because many people, I'm telling you this is also, I had a go with Julian, I'm sorry of course it was laughingly. They feel superior because they obey certain religion and certain diet. I'm vegetarian better than you. That's the identification. And you're very, very right to having a go with it because you're right, nobody does it. If I'm vegetarian, this is not of my choice. This is the conditioning of the pattern. It's totally none of my doing.
That's good. Yeah. And if I'm not, that's the same. No, I don't feel that. I mean, I've been knighted once. But, you know, once you're a knight, you're a good knight. You're a good knight. You're a good knight. You're a good knight. You're a good knight. Yeah. You're a good knight. You're a good knight. So, it's not a bad thing. You're a good knight. You know, I'm just, that was my highest principle. But now it's just... Yeah. ... come back to the rest of them. And... You believe those thoughts. Good. If I can see, I'm hurting them. You know, it's basically that. And I remember just about a year ago, I was riding in towards the city and a cattle truck went past and there were all these beasts with their terrified eyes just looking out.
And I just felt so happy that I wasn't being hurt. that I wasn't going to partake in or, you know, be. But it all comes down to the love to be. Loving to be, yeah. You need love to be, don't you? But I don't know what's wrong with killing. Everything dies. Cruelty is a different story. I've never once projected being vegetarian different things. I've never once felt superior or inferior in doing it. So it's probably a shitload of people out there who actually don't think twice about whether they're better or worse, but it's probably projected a whole heap that they do think that. And I think that can be a bit of a block in unravelling, you know.
You're totally wrong. They're all tots. Like, what's true without those stories? What's true without those ideas, ideologies? Ideologies about food, ideologies about religions, all that stuff. Love used to say you're either attracted or repelled. You're either attracted or repelled. That's it. The rest of it's a story. Mm. Mm. And justification. I'm smarter, better, wiser, or whatever because I believe this set of moral values and not that one. It's ego, isn't it? Absolutely. It's still a strong identification with the thought pattern. It's a strong ego. Who am I without any story, without any belief, any thought? Only thought. Anything I know for sure is that I am.
Yeah, exactly. You can't even say I'm a woman without the thought, without the mental image of the body having that female look. So who cares about what who eats? My stars said this morning, don't express any strong views today. Don't argue with anybody. This was only out of the Herald Sunlight. You have no say. What a beautiful illustration of not being a doer and not choosing your thoughts. What's going on naturally? Anybody not seeing, hearing, tasting, touching, smelling right now? Here are the senses. I'm not seeing. I'm not feeling. I'm not feeling. I'm not feeling. I'm just like pet sudah height. You know, I don't sense the nature.
I don't even feel. I have brains. I don't taste anything high too. You make noise and I have this kind of feeling in the eyes. I feel a serenity. Mör Oooh. Mör Oooh. Mör Oooh. Ha Hahah. You make noise and you are different. It's all fear. There is nothing very special. There are agglomeration. We have thought. And something. That's why you show out loving this feeling. This one is anger. This one's happiness. How do you know? But if you had experienced these things before and labelled them, this one is fear. So as soon as it comes up as saying, the ennoble is fear, you lower yourself down with the previous seeing it for the first time, it mightn't be the way you saw it the last time that you're relating to it.
This one's anger. Changing your voice, it's only your voice knowledge. You call it anger and you label it down. So there's a saying in the Buddhist scriptures, or Chinese, I forget where it is now, we are utterly awake with the five senses wide open. We are seeing, hearing, tasting, touching, smelling equally. But we don't do that. We fixate it on the one sense that comes up, whichever one this is, fear or anger, it's the exclusion of all the others. So you realise when you do that, when you're going into the sense of fear or unhappiness or guilt, and excluding all the others, or even good, love or whatever, you're not living totally.
So it's just we're utterly awake with the five senses wide open, where they're all equal. Because even though you might be thinking something, anger, fear, or something's going on now, the other senses in the background are still hearing, they're still tasting, they're still, what's going on, but it's pushed aside. I'm not noticed. So if you bring it back to the equality of everyone, seeing, hearing, tasting, touching, smelling, seeing, as it says, be utterly awake with the five senses wide open. And be utterly open with unfixated awareness. We are not fixating on one of these sensations to the exclusion of others. They're open to them, up into a hall.
Let them come, let them go. And because the five senses are there and they're always going on, they're changing constantly. Even as you're listening to me, if you are, there's other sounds going on in the background out there, cars going by. Bring them back, bring them into your notice just as much as what you're hearing here. The same with everything else. So when there's equality going and sensing, you're totally living, you're living fully. But while we're shutting ourselves off, and what happened yesterday and the hate and anxiety or stress goes along with it, we shut ourselves off from the sunlight of the spirit, as I say, the spirit, sunlight of the spirit.
And we're back into it again. Be open to that sunlight, that spiritual state. Let it express through that pattern fully, effortlessly and naturally. Totally. Compassion with the cow will just arise spontaneously. No, no. I know. Or it won't. Why should I focus on the cow right now? There's no cows in the room. You said Bill. I've got to travel a fair way to find one. There was a sheep and cattle washing here, so I love me meat. That's my story. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. If nobody is the doer, nobody has any saying about what the conditioning they will receive. It's that every second of their life, moment to moment, creates them what they are.
This David who was yesterday on the party, he's a really funny guy. Yeah. He says, when I became vegan, I instantaneously started feeling better than everybody else. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I love that. We're all in a cool couple, David. Okay. Thank you. Thank you. Talks to do. Thank you. Thank you a lot. Thank you. kali yesマуч Always works both ways. Remember that. Viac
