And we don't tell you anything. Just remember that in one. All we do is point to one and ask you to look to where we point to, to see for yourself. No matter what your beliefs are, whatever you've told, whatever you've accepted, nothing you can ever get. Nothing that anybody can give you. What we're talking about is not anything new. It's the basis of all the great traditions, if you look closely. It's always been there, but not always recognized or understood properly. In Hinduism, they call it Advaita. Advaita translated means one duality. And they try to describe non-duality, they say it's one without the second.

And they say one without the second because even the idea of one supposes that there could be other than one. And to cancel all the idea that there is anything other than that, it's said that there is one without the second. And it's not only in Hinduism, we can see it also in Buddhism. Describing Buddhism we say it's non-conceptual, ever-posed, present, and now that's just this and the whole. And if you look at it closer, that's point is the right now. Anyone in this room, however, where are they, are they still in their present? Might have all sorts of concepts going on. So we miss out on that, non-conceptual, ever-fresh.

We miss out on the ever-freshness of the present. Let's look at ever-fresh. It is spontaneous. It is not time-bound, nor is it contained in space. Because those things are just concepts. The idea is also. And you're looking into the idea. Time and space are concepts. Also, looking a little bit further, not the other traditions, the Christian and other, talking about truth, reality, God, that is omnipresent, omnipotent, supreme. Omnipresent means omnipotent, omnipotent means omnipotent, omnipotent means omnipotent. We're not talking about one thing, but three aspects of one thing. Ice, three aspects of one thing. In other words these things indicate that there is absolutely no duality in non And that why when we sit here I not speaking to any body I not speaking to any mind I'm not speaking to any mechanism, body, mind, or illusory identity that you think you are, but I am who I am.

It is the feeling of presence that we translate into the thought of I am. Only this and nothing else. You don't take anything personally because the person we point to means the illusion. So, niduality means that there is no duality in niduality. And that's all what manifestation is. You're always manifestation. It doesn't fit the definition of reality. Definition of reality is that which never changes. It's trans-magnificent. That's what I call it. And point that out in the ancient scriptures. But it's also fire or illusion. Trans-magnificent. And it's all a dualistic appearance. And there could be any manifestation if it didn't appear in a dualistic way.

It would just be that emptiness, a cognizant emptiness, an empty self, an empty self filled with intelligence, awareness. It's not about us knowing emptiness. Buddhists say about knowing emptiness, but it's not us knowing emptiness, but emptiness is filled with the ability of self-knowledge. What Buddha told us more than 2000 years ago is that emptiness is a form. We can talk about space, or emptiness, or the lack of anything. Forms are formed into patterns. They told us that form cannot be anything other than emptiness. Pointing out that it seems to be a solid substance, it does not change anything. Just you'll see a lot of the metaphors we're pointing out.

Look at the ocean. I can say, go to the ocean and bring me a bucket of blue water. And you'll say, don't be stupid, you know that water is never blue. Now, there is a blue water, and it seems to be blue. When you look at it, you see that it is blue. But you don't intend to go and bring a bucket of blue water, because you recognize it because you have studied and you know the falsity of this statement. Or water in the mirages, or rainbow. Look at the rainbow. It seems like it was something solid, full of substance in the sky. And try to fly and grab the rainbow.

The sun shines through the mist and spreads to was so bright The light was so bright that I was just like wow this is so bright I was like, wow, this is so bright. And I'm like, wow, this is so bright. They never came out of there. It just so happened. What we point out is that there is absolutely no duality in non-duality. There is only dualistic manifestation. We also have this idea that we are the body-mind and that we are this body-mind, this person, this person. But one thing we can say is that the false can not survive the investigation. Question what you believe in, and it will fall apart during the investigation, because it can not withstand confrontation with the truth.

But the idea that we are the body-mind, the body-mind of the person, take a look at the word person. Where does it come from? Does it not mean the same as the mask? The ancient ancestors made up the word many years ago, because it was very well described how we wear the mask of self-identity. Nisargadatta told us the same thing. He said, don't pretend to be who you are and don't refuse to be who you are. We pretend to be this individual unit, this separate individuality, but we are not, and we have never been. And we pretend we are very busy to be what we are, and what we are is not a thing, there is no form, no substance, no beginning, no end, but you are that essence which comes and goes, which is all the things, the shapes, the shapes, and all the things that are posted on the screen, that's how the light appears, as something other than that.

So, they pretend to be the other person, the individual, but they're not, they've never been. You need to investigate that and have a look and see for yourself. Are you the body, mind, mechanism that you believe you are? Are you, for example, your body? You can say, yes, I am, but are you really? Try to find a point in the body, wherever it starts, So, where does it all start? Where did it all start? And you will see that there is no place where it all started. Look into it a little bit further. What's this body made of? And you will see that it's made of elements.

It's made of air, earth, water, and fire. And space, just like the whole environment. If you think it's separate, then try to separate yourself from any of the elements. I am on the other side of the ocean I am on the other I am the mind I am the mind And what are these elements Why are these elements made You can put them on subatomic particles and you can see that the body is not a vibrating pattern of energy Why do you think you're out of this mind? This mind is just more minded. Show me your mind. I am the mind. I am the mind.

I am the mind. Show me your mind. Can anybody show me something called the mind? When you look at it, you can't see anything that has any kind of substance or any kind of nature that stands on its own feet and is called the mind. And then you go and you notice that there is nothing called the mind, except for the thought. The thought is what they call the mind. I Am is the primary thought. And which particular thought would you be? The sense of presence translates through the mind to the thought of I Am. This is the primary thought. But are you that thought?

And then you realize that if you were that thought, you would be afraid to lose it. But it is not there many times during the day. It is not present when you sleep at night, or when you are under the influence of sedative substances, or you are unconscious. The function of life, the essence of life, is still happening without this thought. That's why you realize that you can't be that thought. And what is the thought after a word thought? Thinking a song, and the message is a sort of a subtle movement, the same that you got from a song where you're a letter. When you're speaking words, I think words are the outer words.

What's the sound? What's the vibration? What is vibration? And what is vibration? The movement of energy. So body can be spread to energy. Manifestation can be brought to energy. And thought or mind can also be brought to energy. So there is nothing but this vibrating energy. That's why I don't use the term God. You can get lost in it. And it's only because we all come from different traditions, we have different past. If I started talking about God, I would be referring to it differently If you were a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, a Buddhist, if you used the wrong title, you would relate what your traditional beliefs are, what your original beliefs are, and we would start from the wrong idea of understanding, that something is not really what it is.

But I use the term, intelligence energy, you have to understand that it is not just a concept, it is not just this, it is just a way of expressing it. When I'm talking about intelligence, I'm not talking about the intellect, because there is a different level of intellect in this room. Some of you may be much smarter than I would ever want to be, and some may not be so smart. So there are different levels of intellect, I'm not talking about that. I'm saying, look there, at nature, nature. What we're pointing at is the natural state. When you look at nature, there are galaxies, planets, they move around.

Earth is rotating around the sun, the shades are coming in, the tides are changing,

Any private mind that is infused? No, not intelligent. Not some old going to a church, giving you a good back to church, who's not going to do this or that, or getting you to hell out of here. It's suffusing every particle. I'm not the reflection. It's suffusing every cell in your body. It's suffusing every cell in your body. So don't believe in that. I'm just bringing back yourself. I am now as a body, and I am a body. So I am not only a body, but I am also a mind.

And I am not only a body, but I am also a mind. I am a body. I am a body. I am a body. I am a body. I will tell you that this essence of life does a lot. Look a little deeper. Do you think you are this mechanism of the body-mind? So where did you start? You will say, you started at the moment of birth. But does anyone remember their birth? Look at this. Look back and see that you can reach memory as far as the period of two, two and a half years. Besides, you don't remember anything. You don't remember just because the ability to understand didn't develop yet and you didn't know any words yet.

Look back a bit further and see when you started. You can go as far as you can go back to your parents and see that this nourished essence, life intelligence, shaped your father and allowed the descendant to develop inside him. And I even saw a little egg, and I even saw a few intelligence. And the egg was filled with intelligence. It knew what to do. It didn't move without a purpose and without a direction. And the spirit of the human mind was on the swagger hand, and he knew what to do. Little micro-photoparticle. And you had nothing to do with it, as just a unit of the body that you believe you are.

And when those two cells connected, you were penetrated out, and the proof that formed you was in those two cells coming together. Those two cells formed you and knew how to do it. So, you didn't say that we would make a few fingers grow, or a leg, or a hand, or a heart, or a lung. The intelligence energy knew what to do. The cell bubble was divided, and again it was divided, and again. And your matrix formed the embryo's core. When you came out, did you think that you should take a first breath now? Or did you have to learn how to suck a breath?

That a night like that you were formed you knew what to do even then and it was growing you and it was using you ever since Whole quadrangle All quite naturally without effort But we lose sight of it. Because at the age of about two, two and a half, the capacity of the human being is developed in the understanding of the world. And that's a capacity that human beings have, other animals don't have that particular capacity to the extent that we have, Ptaki, which we have in our capacity, but they have other abilities that we don't have. For example, a bird has a much greater vision capacity than mine or yours, plus it has a flying ability that we don't have.

But through our ability of understanding, we have learned to build planes, helicopters, etc. A dog has a sense of smell that is much better than ours. Tigers or leopards have stripes, stripes and dots on their fur, which are natural camouflage. Do you think that they somehow did it? That the tiger decided to breed a few stripes or a few cents? Or maybe this overpowering intelligence that shapes, forms, lives all this, expresses itself through it, knows that these stripes will make them better predators and add natural camouflage to them? And chameleons or insects that can change colors? The essence, the essence of life knows what to do, it shapes, forms the patterns, and the arrogance of human form makes us think that it is we who manage this whole presentation and that we know better than this innate intelligence.

And that's what happens. With this ability to understand, we start learning words, we attach to our parents, parents attach to us, and you look at the little child before it happens, Nisargadatta is a child that is able to do anything. You can see that the child is not aware that he is independent from anything. He hears, he feels, he touches, the smell, its functioning. It happens naturally. But there is no idea that he is doing it. Sometimes something attracts him, sometimes something pushes him away. But when he's two or two and a half years old, he starts to take notes and learn words from his parents.

And look at his mind before that. Look at your mind and see how it functions. And the mind is a wonderful instrument, self-structuring, self-utilizing, utilizing us when we believe we are. And what's your mind see how it functions? Think about the mind. It's thought is a vibration. And it's always vibrating in the interrelationship. I'm writing with the words we've learned and have collected along the way. And there is something else you have to understand. There is no word you have ever spoken or could have spoken that you didn't have to learn along the way. You weren't born with any words. Now look at the part where it's acting.

It's always vibrating as a pair of opposites. If you're not in the past which is memory, you're in the future which is expectation or imagination. And when this life constantly vibrates as a pair of opposites which are either good or bad or pleasant unpleasant happy sad loving hateful Observe your mind See if it works in any other way And although it is very useful, it is also limited and very mechanical in its functioning. See, what we put on it, the words we learned, good, bad, pleasant, unpleasant, happy, sad, are the limitations we put on it. Shakespeare said 200 years ago, nothing is good or bad, but thinking does not do that.

And we point out what labels, what names we give the word. We believe that they are real and they create a barrier or a limitation for ourselves. But a little child who is attached to his parents begins to learn words. People say he is a little John and he is good or bad, or something like that. He was a guy who was teaching us words like I or me. He said, I am Little Johnny. What is the difference between me and Johnny? Isn't it just me? Or not me? And now when he looks at it, just like he looked at it the day before, he says everything was just as it is.

He didn't discriminate anything, because there was no me. He saw everything as separate things, but he didn't discriminate whether it was good or bad, I am John. I am not me. This does not fit into the description of the little John, so it's not me. It's not me. And as soon as he adapts to this idea, he naturally feels separated. It's not me. And with this sense of separation, there is a lack of sense of security and sensitivity, especially in the case of the little John, who already feels threatened and vulnerable to injury. He doesn't know what anything is. If you have a warm, loving family around you, then in this warm, loving family you are much safer.

Unless, well, we know. And in the old times, families were grouped into tribes. The stronger and stronger my tribe is, the safer and less sensitive I felt. And where did it go today? Nations are at war with their neighbors. It's never known what the neighboring nations will do. I am a bomb. And so on. It's constantly going on. And I never want to be turned away or questioned. And parents, society, schools, nations, schools, reinforced that belief. They all confirm that belief that we are separate. And no one tells you to look and see, just to have a look. They tell us to look outside, To require, to amass, to act in, to gather, to give up whatever we can, to make us ideas into a separate entity.

Good education more wealth better relationship better car all these things that are part of the mind make you feel much better And you never seen a millionaire get enough Whatever Whenever we add something to the wrong line we go the wrong way What can you add to what you are already up to What you see you are already up to You are already the energy of your intelligence. And the pattern, the shapes and the forms through which it expresses itself or reveals itself is still that same energy, manifesting itself as something else. The instrument that uses this is the pattern of the shapes and forms.

But it hasn't changed its true nature and it can be all broken down to that constant expression of the same energy. So the little child can't do much with either of us, so what we do is we add to it experiences, experiences, programming and what goes beyond that. I am Bob, I am Australian, I am a nice guy or not so nice, I have low self-esteem or a hard childhood or I am full of fears. All these concepts are added to this thought of me, based on some of my experiences and what I have come across. Whether good people told me and I started to believe it.

I formed a conceptual image of myself, a mental concept, and the energy of belief, faith, influenced this image and strengthened it. Every day, without questioning, parents, schools, society and nations also strengthen this image and it finally begins to look like a very solid thing. And we have this concrete, seemingly substance, image, which we call the center of our consciousness, the reference point, or ego. Ego. And everything becomes relative to this point of reference or ego. And maybe you sometimes hear descriptions that ego is your problem, that you have to get rid of ego, kill it. But it would be the ego itself that tries to do it.

And it will never happen. What needs to be done? You need to study, look inside and see if it really has any substance? I believe that this is only a fictional idea that we have adopted, to which the energy of faith has been influenced, and that is why it seems real. That is why we ask you to look at it and see for yourself. Look at its functioning. A little child acted spontaneously for the first two years of his life. Everything happened naturally, spontaneously. When this ego comes up, which is only an idea, and that we start believing that we know better, this me, the little angel of the me, is much smarter than that spontaneous natural function.

So instead of acting spontaneously, what we did for the first two years, now we start relating things to the me, the memories, the ego. And remember, as I said before, that all the problems we will ever have are problems of relationship. Everything is relative. All relationship is duality. Relativity is duality. And you can never get to non-duality. So, all of our problems are related to the relationship to me. Something comes up and lost its place in my mind. So all our problems are relationship problems. Something comes up and we lose our spontaneity. And a small child who relates to me from his memory thinks, yes, yes, I experienced it before and it was good.

And we don't want the good to leave us, we attach to them. We always try to stop the good and not to hold on to the bad. All of these things are bad. But every dualistic manifestation is a transition. It is constantly changing. Everything is constantly changing. So the good things don't stay here for long. Have a look at it. Come and get something you really want. It will make you happy. And in a while it becomes something ordinary, or boring. Or it will leave you, die, or change. Or you will lose it. So we don't want peace to go to what we do. We resisted.

We try to keep it. All we can to keep it, we resisted. We realize that resistance is conflict. While you're in resistance, you're in conflict. And while there's any conflict, I mean, I'm not saying it's easy, you know, you're not easy. And if you don't manifest yourself in the conflict, something comes up and you don't like it. You don't want it. You try to get attached to what you like and to keep what you like. Something comes up and you don't like it and you relate to it from your memory. No, I don't want that. I have to get rid of it. So again there's resistance.

Again conflict. Again lack of ease. So, wherever we look, there is always conflict and disease. And if it is not in this way that our life has been going on, all the psychological suffering that is being drawn through your whole life is based on some conflict, on some resistance. So, We don't want this conflict or disease to come or to resist it. That's all that's so called karma. You hear a lot of karma in spiritual circles. And everything that is karma is a cause and effect. You know, when you realize that me, the idea of me is the cause of all the effects, I Am the cause of all my problems And the effects are anxiety anxiety stress and so very hard the effects are the same And now, what happens if I investigate the cause, me, and realize that it is only fiction?

There is nothing here that would have any substance that could stand on its own feet and have an independent nature. And then I ask the simple question, can there be an effect without a cause? If these effects were not related to this cause or any other cause other than it, can they even occur? And you don't have to be around to follow what we're saying. You're not maligning people for any reason, but for a boy. And that's what happens. That's what's happening here. And many many years, more and you go, I'm full of all these, affects all these stuff in your head, anger and fear, and it's all at the end of the front.

But it's not there anymore. It hasn't been there for many years. And it's not only just happening to me, but many other people that come here will tell you the same thing. The psychological suffering is not there, it's not there. It's not the way people use to do public reading. But the ego is a total fiction. It never had any substance of any independent nature. That's the core of all of it. You don't have to work on things to get there. If you take the thing out by the roots and the seeds, you can pull twigs and you can paint them for pages or ways and you can cut them out.

And that doesn't matter how hard you work and how much you do. Does this ever have any substance or even any independent nature? We point that out by hospital in the long-range, what you're seeing right now. Do you see, do you see at this moment? Is it the result that everyone in this room sees? And do you hear? When you opened your eyes this morning, did you think now I will start seeing and the room appeared in pieces? Until finally the whole room appeared and you saw that there is also life outside the window? Or maybe it was like that, that it was all here right away, as soon as you opened your eyes, everything was available, you could see everywhere.

Now, you might be really not aware of this, if you don't think about it, but this very seeing takes place right now. Seeing that you had yesterday, last month, last year, seeing hasn't changed. We think it's changed, but it's the content, the content of the seeing. It's still changing. You have a different content of seeing, a different one outside. The content is changing But the very seeing doesn change The question is about hearing Do you hear now Or when you woke up in the morning the hearing was already there And when someone called you at night during sleep maybe the hearing was not available then But you always had the same hearing.

Its content changes. Hearing and seeing happen. Ask yourself the following question now. Does my eye tell me I see? You realize you see through the eye. But is the eye time looking at this part of the way you act? That's good, that's bad or that's bad or that's not good or that's not good. You realize that the eye cannot say anything at all. It's just the seeing happening through the eye. It's the instrument through which seeing happens. It's translated by the thought, I see. All the thought is doing with the so-called mind is translating, and the fore-motion is not just a pure translation. Because we realize that the conceptual image, I, Bob, these attempts and all the false feelings, everything that belongs to the mind, is conceptual.

Now thinks it has the capacity of seeing. There's a belief in a unit of which we have the capacity of seeing. The same with the hearing. The hearing right now, you're saying, listen to this, listen to that, this is a good sound, this is a better sound. It's the instrument, it's the instrument, the hearing is translated by the mind, it's translated by the mind. This instrument is translated by the mind into the thought, I hear. And when the thought appears, I hear, it's not just a bare hearing, but it's probably a genetic or a lot of attitude to conceptualize the thought that's being heard. So now a conceptual image thinks it's hearing, thinks it's seeing, thinks it's doing all sorts of things.

But ask yourself this question, does the thought I hear really hear? This is just a translation. But does the thought hear? And then you realize that the thought I hear cannot hear. Close your ears and see if you can hear something. Prove it to yourself. And you will see that the thought I hear cannot hear. Or the thought I see... Close your eyes and look, take a look. See how much you can see. With the thought... Can that thought really see? The thought I see cannot see. The thought I hear cannot hear. The thought I am aware of awareness Thought I choose can be the search You think the two are just going to choose.

You're a thought-competent child. So you realize that thought, that entity can't do anything at all. It doesn't have any power to stand on its own two feet, to be an idiot, to stand on There is no separate nature. If this essence, the essence of life does not function in this body, then how many thoughts will the dead body have? It has eyes, it has ears, it has vocal strings, it has all organs, but without this intelligence energy, the nourished life energy, it cannot have a single thought, feeling or emotion. So you see this thought of individuality which we have given so much power to, it doesn't got any power whatsoever, it doesn't got any individual nature and it doesn't stand up.

And you look at that, you'll see, you look at this manifestation, you'll see that there is no separate, separate nature. It is very important to understand that there is no separate nature. There is no static point in the whole manifestation. Everything is transient. It is a spontaneous emanation. Look at the time, the space. These are just conceptual ideas. There is nothing like time and space. Everything is a conceptual emanation. And now look at this moment, at this moment. People say they're trying to stop at the present moment, at this moment. Try to leave the present moment. And where did it start now? Try to bring it up that it starts now.

But before you finish saying these words, this moment has already passed. And it starts again. Doesn't it assume that it's spontaneous? Everything that has time is the duration of time. And duration takes place and space. Can you point to the beginning of space? Is there any space at the beginning? Has it got a center? Has it got any dimension? It seems to have, but just like time. It hasn't got any duration or space. So there's no space or time. Can there be a path? What distance or what length is that path? And what destination can you have? So when I say we start from the fact that you are already on that, you know what I mean?

You've always been that, and you can't be anything else. Instead of disbelieving, have a look into what you say for yourself, whether it's right or wrong, because no one will ever do it for you. Subtitles by the Amara.org community
